Several early evening calls which read from Phoenix, AZ. No one talks, and the is a disconnect winthin 30 to 45 seconds.  No set pattern. It has happen about six timees over a three month period of time.

Does not leave message on machine.

Yeah, I've also received a dozen or so calls from this number over the last few weeks. I heard the same Playboy subscription excuse the one time someone said something when i answered (and I do have a subscription). Only thing is NO ONE has this phone number. I NEVER give ANYONE my real numbers and this is an unlisted land line. I told whoever it was to remove me from their list weeks ago. But I still see missed calls all the time from this same number.

This number calls my home every day between 7 and 8 pm.  No one is ever there when we answer.

I blocked this number and they started calling me with an out of area number that cannot be blocked.  I have reported this to the FCC and will see what happens.  If you want to do that your number must be registered with the do not call registry for at least 30 days.  website to make a complaint  donotcall.org

On July 20 @8:18 PM, had a call from this number. The party asked by first name, that is bogus just to ID nuisance callers. They are trying to sell subscriptions to Playboy magazine, so they say. The truth is: Playboy does not sell subs by phone calls. My subscription is nowhere near expiring, when I told the scumbag the above, he then tried to convince me that I shold add to sub to save money before price increase. I told him where he could go and what he could do with himself.

Called again today @ 5:32 pm - no message

several of these calls in past two weeks nothing on answering machine ever.

Appears to be a nuisance caller.  No one ever on the other end of the line.  Does anyone know how to block just one number?

No one one the line when I answer.

I've gotten the same call several times over the last couple of weeks. No one answers when you pick up, caller ID says unknown caller.  I've reported them on the do not call list website.

Have received numerous calls from this number.  No one one the line when the phone is answered and no message left if not answered. Also, if you call the number back there is no answer or message machine. Only info I have found is that it is an unlisted landline provided by Electric Lightwave of Phoenix, AZ.

Just got a call from the number, asked for my husband who I obviously said was not here (sitting right next to me), when I told him he was not here the hung right up.

I get this call at least twice a night,  Last night they told my wife that they were from TV Guide, when she said she was not interested and to please stop calling the man on the phone said that they would continue to call until we resubscribed.  I want to know how to reach these people!!!

In NY, only 1 party needs to know the call is being recorded, AFAIK.

Have been getting several calls from this number over the last few days. Never leaves a message, no answer on call backs. Only once has anyone been on the line when I answered it. A few days ago someone claiming to be Playboy magazine wanted to renew my non-existing subscription at the current rate to avoid rate hikes. I asked them if they were Playboy, or a third party. They insisted they were not a 3rd party but the magazine itself. I said I was going to look their number up online, and this site came up. I said I wanted nothing to do with them as they were a scam. They hung up. They've called daily ever since then.

I am finding out that they are using various numbers. For those people who are being called by other numbers, and those of us who are being called by the (623) 565-9962 number, if they can do this to us, we can do it to them. For you people who have free calling. Call the number that is calling you and let it continue to ring, they will pick up the phone and hang it up. When they do call it back. Just keep doing that. That way they will either have to had more phone lines or stop bothering us.

Here are directions on how to file charges against these people.

Keep an acurate log of each time they call - date and time, besure to mark the time as am or pm.

The log must be for at least a two weeks period.

If you can record answering machine messages to another tape as evidence do so. DO NOT record the actual phone call, that is illegal unless you tell them before hand that the call is being recorded and they agree to being recorded which all must be documented on the tape. If they said they do not wish to be recorded you must turn off the recorder at that point.

Contact your local police department and file a formal phone harassment complaint. Make a copy of all your evidence and give the police the copies.

Check with your local police department on the above information as laws may be different in different states.

They call, but do no answer, they just listen.

See if the product you subscribe to has a website, if they do, go to the contact us area in the website and see if the have an email address listed, if they do send them an email explaining what this company is doing. It could be that the Magazine itself does not even know this is being done. If they don't have an email address, look for a phone number or a snail mail address. Most reputable companies do not operate this way! If they get enough complaints they will drop these idiots fast!

Copy this page, then file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in your state. Give them a copy of this page, so they can see that you are being truthfull. That is what I am doing!

They are crooks. We get the same thing. My wife ordered National Geographics Magazine. We had been getting it with no problem. Then they called and told her the price was going up from $2 something a copy to $5 something a copy. They said if she orders now, they can lock her her in at the current price. So she agreed to another year at the $2 something price. She had the phone on speaker phone, I was sitting next to her and heard the entire conversation. Then the next day they called and asked for my wife. I told them she was not home, so then they told me they were the subscription department for National Geographics and that my wife had just placed an order for 3 years of the magazine. At that point I stopped her and said no, she ordered one year, then the woman said Oh no sir, she ordered 3 years. I told them to cancel the subscribtion, we don't want it anymore. Now when they call, they won't talk to me, they say they will call back. But they always call 2 or 3 times at night when my wife is at work. So they never get to talk to her and they won't talk to me, they hang up right away. If this nonsence don't stop, I will turn them in to our state Attorney General's Office.

These people are magzine sellersa and will only admit no affiliation with "Artist Magazine"when pressed. Pretty sneaky business tactics!

I had "Karina" calling to renew my subscription at my old rate. They wanted to lock me in for four years. I was going to do it until I was told that they would have to call me back with the billing. Obviously a scam!

Receive calls from this number every day/night.  What a pain.  When you answer, nobody there.  This is harrassment.
