Ok, so it's discover card services. I get calls from them for about a week after the payment processes. Here's the latest variation on the theme, my sister just got a call from them, asking for me. The rep. said she was Joy and wanted to talk to me. She would not say who she was with and only that it was about a personnel business matter. That last part I'm glad about but the thing is, I have not been at that number for 17 years. When Discover first hit the seen they were good people. Now, I'm not to sure about them.

I called this number back and it is Discover Card. I do have an unpaid debt with them and they were able to identify my account a d work with me on the situation. No indian accents, no sales pitch, no rudeness.

You get a message that says "Please call 623 643 2996" and there is no identification of who the caller is.  Who in their right mind would return the call?

I am sick and tired of getting calls from this number I don't owe these people one cent who ever they are I don't want to know

I don't even have a damn Discover card, but this number calls me up to 10 times a day, starting at 8am EST, until well past 9pm EST.

No message has ever been left!

This number keeps appearing on my missed calls log. They finally left a message saying that it was very important that I call back. Of course they did not identify themselves nor did I call back. The calls continue to come in and I answered one call. I was asked to "Please hold" by an automated machine and then I hung up. Sounds like these people are wanting to scam money off of me. Why else would they insist on calling without leaving a message of identification and urge me to call back? Scammers, scammers, scammers. Please report them if you get harrassed too.

This is the number from Discover Card Member Services. It's legit.

You were lucky, I don't even get a message. and they call more than once per day, and repeatedly. as far as i'm concerned. . . this is Harrassment.

It is Discover Card, attempting to collect a debt or overdue payment.

Received a call from this number, but did not answer because I did not recognize the caller. They never left a message so I didn't call back. If it is Discover Card Member Services, I don't know why they would call me. Although my girlfriend does have a Discover card come to think of it...

This IS harrassment and I have programmed my phone to ignore this number.  I am contacting my attorney.  Even if I did forget to pay the bill on time, why couldnt they call BEFORE I missed the payment?

Because they want you to F--K up.  They want to raise your interest rate and they want you to get deeper into debt.  They do not want to help you in any way.  When they have snot-nosed punks calling you and harassing you over the phone and calling back over and over and over and over and demanding YOU give THEM your personal information, the time has come to cut all business ties with that company.

This is BS and my attorney is on it as well as the Attorney General of North Carolina.  They are f-cked now.  I cant wait for this to go to court.

I have received many calls on my answering machine, saying it is from American Express card, and asking me to call back at 866-215-1862. Before I called back, I searched internet, and found this page, so, I didn't return a call, but called 800-528-2122, which is printed on my AmEx card back.

Here is the AmEx representative told me:
1. He checked whole comany directory of AmEx, and 866-215-1862 is not on it;
2. By AmEx rule, they will never leave a message and ask a customer call back;
3. He said if I really been disturbined, I may need to report to police.

JUST PAY UR BILL AND STOP COMPLAINING!! ITS CUZ UR LATE CHEAP BROKE PEOPLE!!

For everyone on here that is getting calls from Discover, AMEX, etc... and DO NOT have a credit card with them yet their phone number is being called OR if these companies are asking for a certain person whom you DO NOT KNOW, the problem is that SOMEONE who has a credit card doesn't want to list their phone number on their application or credit card for contact, so they just pull a random number out of their butts and list that. Some applications and accounts NEED a phone number, but some people don't want to list their number or may not have a number to list. You just happen to be the lucky person. To be super spiteful, while you have these yahoos on the phone from these companies, close out your account... or the person(s) who used YOUR phone number on their account. If they tend to be that irresponsible with other peoples information (i.e. your personal phone number) and their own debt... consider it a favor to them for your uneeded harassing 7am wakeup calls... and the random calls throughout the day for 5 DAYS IN A ROW!!! Discover can do better. What a shame.

These idiots keep calling me and asking for my mom who has absolutely no credit history and never had a credit card in her life. I tell them she doesn't speak English and they still want to speak to her. Bunch of idiots.

Discover has made 18 calls to the home number and 18 calls to the cell number from July 2 thru July 8, 2008.  There are no late payments at this time.

I received phone calls from that number also and I called the number back and it is Discover Financial.  After speaking to a customer service representative named Alisha, I told her to NEVER call my home again and that if they did I would file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission.  She stated that they could call "By Law".  So I filed a complaint with the FCC.  I am still waiting for the FCC to respond.  If you want to complain about Discover, and their WAR Dialing methods, go to here and file a complaint:

Yes, 3 days because, in this case, I paid one Discover bill twice and didn't pay the other one. getting calls at work 3 times a day and home 3 times a day. They must really want their $29 past due!

This is a collection call....says that I am late on a payment...yes I am!  By 3 days!  The economy is terrible and I am having trouble paying, but that is harrassment.

You have call me so many times. I have an answering service stated that I am deaf and can not communication over the phone. Call received at 11:35 a.m. on 4/14/08. Message to call 866 number but caller's name is not mentioned in the recording.

Call came at 10:47 a.m. on 4/10/08. No caller ID. Left voicemail with number to call but never caller name is never mentioned.

Call received at 10:39 a.m. on 4/3/08. Left a voice mail with an 866 number to call but did not identify themselves in the call.

Yet another call from this number. Left an automated voice mail message with a 866 number to call. Company never identifies themself in the call.

It's Discover, but also American Express.

Most likely a collections agency, but who knows what else is in this office (with the outbound # always coming up as the "623-646-2996" on caller ID's)

They don't leave msgs all the time, and if they do just to return their call at (whatever #).

I told them today I'm filing for bankruptcy; don't know if that will stop the calls at all, so we shall see.

At least the woman on the other line was nice about things and didn't push, harass or anything of that nature.  She's doing her job as is, anyway..
