While it doesn't help keep them off my phone (cell, no less), I sure get a LOT of satisfaction:

I keep a list of free, sign-up-here-and-we'll-call-you services (insurance quotes, MLM stuff, office supplies, etc).  They sure come in handy.

When one of these lowlifes refuses to stop calling, I google the number until I find the company name - usually on one of these lists.  Then, I google the name until I find a physical address, reverse-search the address until I find a local number, and - voila - I have what I need to fill out all manner of 'call me' requests.  Just choose a department and a name to go with the address and phone, and keep their landline busy until kingdom come, or they change their landline number.

An alternative is to use their 800/866/877 numbers, because they get charged for EVERY incoming call on those things.  It just doesn't look as legit as a local, landline number.  But then, considering who we're dealing with here, it's all good.

The only thing you DON'T want to do, is to go after any individual within the company, such as finding home address and phone, and submitting that hither and yon - THAT is illegal harassment, and they can go after you for it, the law CAN trace you and prosecute you.  Leave it at the company level, because they won't bother 'chasing you down', they'll just change their number, because they KNOW going after you would be the absolute worst PR they could imagine.

They may have started this little game, but if we all do this - each and every time - they WILL find another game to play.  :)

Got a call at 10:16 AM March 17th from this number. No message left.

Same thing with me. I don't even have a vehicle under warranty anymore.

I received this phone call and answered it is a scam about the warranty on your vehicle.

An auto extended warranty is the most profitable product car dealers sell and these independent warranty companies have moved in on the market. It is extremely easy to spend $4000 and get nothing in return. That's why they're so desperate to sell you one that they're willing to alienate hundreds or thousands of people. I'm thinking to find out the name of the warranty company and file a complaint for each and every call, because they're all unsolicited calls. Illegal to make unsolicited calls to a cell phone, I believe.

Not because of anything you have done, because my two pre-teen grandsons get this call and so does my mentally ill daughter. All of them have only prepaid phones. None of them drive or has ever purchased anything requiring personal information except my information and I don't get these calls on my cell phone, which is not prepaid. So guess where they're getting the numbers - from the prepaid company that sold you the phone! Or maybe they're just randomly dialing, but then why don't I get the calls?

you have probably recently purchased a car or car insurance and that company sold your information to the company that called you. i have received this call as well.

did u speak to a rep? what did they say???? just got the call.. message said it was their second and final notice, however, I've never received their calls before!!!

I wonder how these idiots get my cell # and do anybody ever buy anything from these guys. Maybe they might be buying otherwise why would any company would be calling people like us. I feel so unfortunate that I have to live among people who buy from these companies.

They called me, so i called them back and they will ask if you don't want to be on the National Call List to press 1 so I did then they said it will take 24 hours for my response.  No Worry!

called 3 times.back to back.. 2:24pm, 2:25 pm, and 2:26 pm.... did not answer, left no voicemail... this is crazy...

i just got a call from this number two and i live in SD.

This number just called - I never pick up.  If I don't recognize the number I don't answer.  Have had several of these calls in the last 3 days.

A pre recorded message keeps calling about extended car warranty.
Says to press 2 to be taken off list.  I hang up with out pressing any numbers.

left a half message, said something about my car, i think they are offering warranties or saying you have one and you need to renew it, which is bs because i have a 97 honda, i dont need a warranty haha..its a scam
