THEY CALL 1-2 Times a week. They would say this is your final notice to lower you credit card debt. My wife waited to tell them we are on the no call list and they switched to putting you on hold as soon as you answer. So I hang up.

I called the number back, and turns out a very nice woman identified herself as a registered nurse and said the call I had gotten was from a group affiliated with United Healthcare calling to see how I was doing...that they make routine calls after someone has been hospitalized or who appears to have a condition like diabetes, which I do not, and that it's a service all the insurance companies offer, "since on the weekends or h olidays you may not be feeling so hot, so you can call us and tell us your symptoms and we can let you know if it seems serious and you should to go the hospital, or how to manage it.
It's a wellness program and it's already covered."
I explained I had doctors and just didn't like getting calls from strangers about health matters or any matters sharing personal info over the phone and she said I could opt out. But I would need to give her my UH number. "If you don't want one of the free services, we can take you off.
I politely explained I'd call the 800 number to UHC and let them know since at least I'd know who I was speaking with."
A plausible story, as far as she went, but didn't want to waste any more valuable time. So I thanked her and wished her a nice day, Now you all know the rest of my story.

These people keep calling me saying that are 'registered' nurses asking me for personal information my name, address, date of birth. They seem to already have it and I did confirmed some of the information but I felt uncomfortable giving them all my information that they said they wanted to confirm. They transfered me to a nurse who never came on the line so I just hanged up the phone. I called them back to see who they are and ask they what this was all about. Where do they get my personal information I have not idea but they said they wanted to discussed health procedures with me. I told them I already have a doctor to do that with and I did not care to discuss my personal health issue with strangers. I also requested they do not contact me anymore but they said that I had to tell them all my personal information to do that. I think these are marketers of some kind...

Said they were United Healthcare. Every condition he listed was wrong, every "recent treatment" was wrong. Informed him that his data was completely inaccurate and hung up.

Received a call from this number and they identified themselves as United Healthcare. This is a scam. Never give your personal information out to people calling YOU. If legitimate, they will always be OK with you hanging up and calling back. Just be sure to use a valid number and NOT the one on your caller ID.
There are a ton of these scammers. Apparently, it must be working on many people. Dont be one of them.

I have had this number call me several times over the past few months and it has always been a recording saying that this call was an attempt to collect a debt. I don't have any debt that I know about and they never identify themselves as to who is trying to collect this debt. I haven't paid this call much attention until 2 days ago the IRS told me that I have been a victim of identity theft and that someone has filed for a tax return in my name and social security number. Makes me wonder what else they have done!
| lmt 2013-07-18 19:08:28 Unknown |
I also found out 2 days ago from the IRS that someone filed a tax return in my name with my social security number. I am now a victim of identity theft. So please be careful not to give out information about your birthday and/or address because I don't believe it takes much more info than that to steal your identity as well.

I have had this number call me several times over the last few months and it is always a recording. They never identify themselves but they do say that the phone call is an attempt to collect a debt. What debt? I do not have any debt that I know about. And why can't they identify themselves if that is what they are really calling for? I think this is crazy and probably scam as well.

Just had this happen to me.
| Linda 2013-07-12 20:18:28 Unknown |
same thing just happened to me today 7/12/13. I hung up after the hold music stopped and there was silence. I think this is a scam also, although they knew of my recent surgery without me telling them.

Said they were a registered nurse group that worked with my insurance company and called my ins company by name. Said she was Nancy with Treatment Physicians Support Group. Am calling my ins company tomorrow to see is this is real or a scam.

Received a call from this number on 3/17/2013. Was asked my date of birth and address. The person on the phone said a nurse would be talking to me shortly. After 15 minutes, I hung up. i don't know what this is about, never had anyone call me before to talk to me about my injury. I starting to believe this is a scam. if someone calls you like this, my opinion is hang up on them. Wish I would have!!!

We have United Health Care (they suck) and this was one of those 'we want to help you manage your health' things. They have someone reviewing medical records then have some people call you and explain what the nature of the call is and hand you off to an RN who will discuss your illness or injury and offer ways to help manage it.
My issues are due to bad knees, multiple knee surgeries and unless they can give me good knees, they can't help!
