A person called our company stating that they were calling from "our" copier supply distribution center, and when I asked what company he was calling from, he repeated that he was "our" copier supply distributer.  I again asked the name of the his company, and he hung up.  We have received numerous calls from the same place, and recently a co-worker recently received the same phone call, but really thought it was our distributer and ordered copier supplies.  It is now in the hands of our company attorney.  When you *69, this number comes up - 626-380-8390.  I called the number, but it immediately goes to a busy signal.

this number belongs to East west Supplies. my realty offices has been using them for two years- as far as supplies and service go, they are a legitimate and decent company, sometimes shipping is a little slow though.

I would guess your co-worker was probably confused. i have heard people use that excuse before " I said ok because they told me they were "our insurance co" etc etc. I always tell my employees, what makes you think there is such thing as "our" supplier, "our" shipper etc. We often use several companies, and we always make sure that we get the name, phone number and contact info before we buy anything.

I've noticed that a lot of people on this site complain that a company is a scam when really it was the consumer that didnt understand. There ARE a lot of scams out there, but legitimate companies shouldnt get slandered for your mistake. That has happened at our Real Estate firm also, and its so frustrating.
