BOZZ and yes its a scam. got a call last nite and they left a msg on my phone. James (did not understand his last name) said he was a lawyer and he will be at my residence to pick me up if i dont call back. jerks!! will try and call him back and see if i can cuss him out.

I called this number back and talked to someone about this bogus charge> They are coming to my residence to get me,,,,the law doesn't work that way...when I mentioned a police officer they started cursing me out.

I just talked to Jim Brown and Tony Fernardez.  I think they were the same person.  They told me that I had a warrent in New York, I have never been to New York and when I asked what city in New York I was told Tampa, there is no Tampa in New York.  They told me I would know the charges when the police come.  I asked if they were a police agency and they said yes the FBI.  I laughed and then called the FBI.  They said they are nothing but a scam and the best answer is to not answer their calls at all and keep all records of the messages they leave.  To also file a complaint with your local police department.  Good luck everyone with the bs out there.

do not ever speak to people you do not recognize....i get this number 7 times a day...i call the number back i receive a message that the number has been disconnected....somebody calls again and calls me a big biatch...no explanation just threats...

it appears they have the same voices and use different names...i agree with the sb321...they will not give any information just threats...the authorities told me they are full of crap....

This is complete and total BS! We got a call saying we took out a loan, checked our bank statements for that enter year there was not money put in.
Me “how exactly were we suppose to pay this loan off”
Him “we take the money from your account”
Me “why didn’t you take it out then, and what is your company called again?” (company name changed) “where exactly is this court house? We called several in the central TX aria none have record of us going Monday. I need to know your lawyers name by the way”
Him “you will see it when cops drag you there. You have 30 minuets to pay me”
Me “show me proof I owe this and I will pay it”
Him “so your agreeing to pay then?”
Me “no give me proof, with out proof your not getting a dime”

Just received another call from Jack Brown, with Oakview Law Firm in California at my job. Told me a law suit was filed against me for money that I owed. I asked for his phone number 626-380-0485 and attorneys name.  Told him he was crazy and that I would report him to Us Attorney and whoever else I could think of.  Could not understand much of what he said-accent was a heavy Middle Eastern. I told him not to call back and try to scam someone else.  Man is probably so stupid he will continue to call. I received similar call last year and they finally gave up and stopped calling.

the thing that bothers me about these people is that they have my ss# and other personal information. I never had a pay day loan and i told them that, i have no loans, credit card debt i am debt free as a matter of fact those payday loans are not allowed in Arizona so i couldnt have one even if i wanted too.  they keep calling me at work i am afraid my employer is going to fire me if they dont stop calling. I reported them to the attorney general here in arizona and the fbi and i was told they are aware of this scam and to keep an eye on my ss# and credit report.  also i had to change my account number at my bank cause they had that too. I called them and told them that in pakistan you can go to debtors jail but not in america and if they keep calling me i will shove them up their camels a$#!  what a bunch of idiots these people are. i dont know how they even got my information and that scares me too.

They just called me and when I called them out, I was called a terroist.  I was told someone would be at my work tomorrow to give me papers to meet them in court on Friday.  I explained to them I have a right to receive verification of the debt and if they would only provide that information, I would be happy to discuss the payment options they were offering.  They explained they did not have to provide that information and I had better find a good attorney, I was being charged with misappropriation of funds...Really?

They suck. They called me about a month ago. They had me pretty upset. They wanted my information, I started to give it to them, then I said wait a minute. Who are you and whats your SS#. I told them to mail me the info, they said they emailed me at least 30 times. I told them I keep all my emails. I refused to give them any info. I calmed down and started asking a lot of questions and they started getting upset. The more upset they got the sweeter my voice got. I told them I would look into it. I called them back to ask them more ?'s and they kept saying who is this I said who is this? They then said my name and they were not playing around. They just now called again and I'm going to jail on Monday at 11:00. This time I talked to Max Maurice. When i called back for Max who left a message in a womans voice a man said he was Max and started telling me I was going to jal. I told him I plugged there # into google and it came up a scam. He said good luck to me and hung up on me. Last time I turned them into the FBI but they said this was not a matter they covered and told me to contact someone else. I hate scammers, they will reunion your day. I was at the county fair showing horses with my 11 year old daughter. It was hard to concentrate after that!!!!!

They keep harrassing me at work and threaten me.

Middle eastern accent just as described. I asked for Tony Mathews just as left on my voicemail. I get his supervisor whom I couldnt understand his name. I think it was the same guy. He tells me I owe money to a payday loan company that i didnt pay back. I asked who the loan company was, he said it could be one of many out of a 250+ database. So I laughed and said, "so you cant tell me who it is with, the address and phone number?" He hung up! lol. So I called immediatly back and started getting busy signals and hang ups. Finally blocked my number and it rang through. Someone else with accent answered. I told him I needed to speak to Tony Mathews supervisor. He gave the phone to someone who acted like they didnt know what I was talking about. i got upset and cussed some and they hung up again. I called again, someone just alswers hello. I asked who it was, he wouldnt tell me. I said I need to speak to Tony Mathews Supervisor, so he takes the phone away from his face and speaks in another language to some other guy. someone gets on the phone in a quiet voice and starts cussing and calling me names. I came unglued and cussed at him. He gave the phone to someone else who said, "This is your father, what do you want, this is your father" I said my father??? He said "yes your father". I just called them a bunch of dumba$$ scammers and he hung up again.

Received a call from 626-569-7487, from Amy advising that is very important that I return her call. She is calling on the behalf for Morgan and Associates regarding a payday loan that I had in the past. She told me I need to call her immediately or I will be going to court and facing jail terms. Please ignore this foolish people. They have nothing better to do.

I have been getting calls from a man named Robin Hoffman ( he has a Pakistian or Indian accent ). The call came up "UNKNOWN" on my caller ID. The first call I recieved was on Wednesday at 4pm. This man told me that I was going to court over a payday loan I never got and that I owed 5275$. He just now called and left a message..This is a Warning Message for....He gave me a return number to call of 626-569-7487. I will not be calling htis number. Thanks to everyone for your posts here and the heads up. I will be calling the Atty Generals office in my state, as well as the locals....When I started asking questions as to what his law firm was and whom I alledgedly got the loan from....he could not answer me.....but insisted I was going to jail and that my employer would be contacted.....

I'm getting calls from a man named Tony Matthew for a week now. Hey Tony I hope you would come to this website, I just want to let you know that I've heard your messages over and over again because since last year I'm getting calls from different fraudulent collection & law enforcement agencies like yours. You have the same messages as" This is a Warning Message for.." to return the call and if not all you can do is wish me good luck." Yeah, Really Good luck to me you will not get any penny from me so stop calling people. I also reported these calls to the State Attorney General and they told me not to give up any info and any money. True collection agency sends collection letter- validity of debt.

Try to avoid them never to return there calls even if they said that you are being sued or that your file is in the court house, Ive got the same messages last year around September and they want me to pay them $650. I didnt' pay them and they said that Good Luck to me because it was already filed etc but didn't get any notice until now because they are SCAMMERS

Use a scanner to make it sound like you have a police radio in the back ground and inform them of the laws about threatening debtors as that is illegal. If you really want to have just inform them about its a felony to threaten an officer. Don't say that you are one unless you are. I was hung up on and now every time I call in they quickly hang up on me.

Received a message on my voice mail from Jack Brown (with a heavy Middle Eastern accent) and I was to call him back immediately or have my attorney of record call him.  This was a business matter that needs to be settled or whatever else he said.  Can't understand most of it.  Is also extremely nasty and he called me at my job earlier today and I just hung up on him.  I recognized his voice because it was the same jerk that called me from (916) 236-4571 in October.  I thought we got rid of him but.....he's back.....That DO NOT CALL LIST is a big scam also.  I added my number to it and also my cell phone and I still get calls.

Threatened I was going to be arrested.  Completely fraudulent.  False accusations about "money laundering."  Why can't we get these creeps?  Gave info that calling from Oakview Law Group of Tampa Florida which does not exist.  How did they get my number?

I received a telephone call at work from a guy with a thick, Middle Eastern from 626-569-7487 claiming to be a representative from the Oakview Law Group.  He told me that he had left several messages for over a week here at my job and that I had failed to return his calls.  He preceeded to tell me that I was going to arrested on Thursday at 11am for failure to pay back a payday loan that I had taken.  When I asked him about the name of the company and the date, he said that the paper he was looking at was a "soft" copy and that the hard copy would be downloaded in time for my arrest.  I continued to hit him with more questions about the legitmacy of the debt and of him and his company, he then decided that I needed to be put on hold.

Just hang up on him.  Not worth your time.
