The phone rang three times then disconnected. Other sites mention it being a creditcard scam.

We receive a call and didn't answer, shortly after that we received a credit card check from our bank checking out a few of our recent calls.

Had a call from this number last night. I pressed 9, hung up before someone answered, but someone called me back. I hemmed and hawed and they hung up on me. I received this call right after my bank had alerted me to a questionable charge on my credit card. Someone managed to guess a correct credit card number but my bank was on top of their game and put a hold on the charge until they talked to me. The company was a made up name. The bank cancelled that card number.

This number calls me DAILY. Yesterday, I did not answer to see if they would leave a voice mail, of course they didn't. I called the number back and reached a recording that said "if you no longer wish to receive this call, press 1" or whatever number it said. I pressed and and lo and behold, they called again today. WTF? I'm on the "DO NOT CALL" registry. How do I get them to stop calling me?

DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CREDIT CARD. THEY WANT YOU TO PRESS A NUMBER ON YOUR PHONE AND TALK WITH THEM. DON'T DO IT.....HANG UP.

Chase card holders are getting the worst of it. They end up with the last 4 digs. of your card. This is a scam.. They have 8 or 9 numbers, I have press to talk to someone to tell tham to stop calling, but you many times get a man that can not speak well & with the sounds of laundry running in the back ground. I get these on my busniess line & my home line. 21 times in the last 30 days.. I am on the do not call list & that does nothing..
Area code from 629 to 402
BBB has received numerous complaints about two Orlando-based companies, CSTR Solutions, Inc. and Genesis Capital Management, and one Tacoma-based company, Mutual Consolidated Savings. All are behind at least some of the robocalls and are promising to save people anywhere from $2,000 to $25,000 by negotiating lower interest rates with credit card companies.
Robocalls begin with recorded messages that include statements like: ?There are no problems currently with your account, however it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rates to as little as 6 point 9 per cent.? or, ?This is our final attempt to reach you
But how did that end up with this info. ???

This call came last night from "cardmembers services", the scam that wants to lower my interest rates on credit card accounts where my accounts are in good standing, and I have balances. It sounded like the bigger the balances, the better it would be for them. They kept asking me if I had at least one account in good standing. Then they wanted the 800# on the back of the card to verify that I had an account in good standing, and when I challenged them about asking ME to verify that I had an account in good standing, the guy got hostile. I resisted getting my credit card company's 800#, and told them that I knew they wanted my credit card number, and that they were a scam, and he hung up on me.

I received a call from these jerks, with an automated message stating that this was an urgent call re my credit card, and if I wanted a lower interest rate (6.9%) to press 9, and this was my "final offer." I pressed 9, as I was in the mood to screw with people. Fellow picked up, asked for my name. I said "Why is this my final offer, when I haven't applied for anything." Dial tone.
Not being happy with that response, I called back. Number not in service.
Asshats. Ruined all my fun. Can't wait until they call back. Maybe I'll play their game, keeping them busy as long as possible.

I've gotten at least a dozen phone calls to my landline from this # in the last five months. No idea who/what they are. I'm guessing telemarketers. Too bad for them I have Caller ID.
