Who said that anyone expects anything to be resolved in an hour? I've seen cases drag on for years, murders never solved. Noone has said they expected resolution within an hour. Listening to bureaucrats too much (who think that to work means the public is mean to them)?? Thanks for the numbers. I was once broken into in Chicago with several items stolen. The cops were on autopilit dusting and looking busy. Then they told me to just forget about it as most such cases were never solved. They've been proving it ever since. Bureaucrats! Gotta love 'em, eh?

Its not CSI on TV, crimes do not actually get solved in a hour..  If you think it should, then its very delusional.

I get text messages from 630-207-0763. I just delete, because I figure that if I respond it probably kickstarts a whole bunch of calls or texts or charges. This is not the first time. What is the FCC Doing about these annoyances? Or are FCC employees "too busy" (drinking their lattes--you know, bureaucrats) to actually do anything?

Called me three times within 3 hours. I called them back. No connection. The phone line is blank. Just air. Why are they calling?

I've done some more research. I see that they are in Hinsdale, IL as mentioned by @doubled. They are a call center attempting to get credit card information about you or sell you a card. They will hang up on you if you ask to be removed from their list.

Hey Just Like TJ I Get these calls from numbers I do not recognize If we all get smart and just don't answer them and if it is an important number they will leave a message.  Just don't answer maybe they will get tired of calling they don't call me any more.

This past week I have received a phone call on my cell for the following numbers:

(517) 931-2044
(630)207-6834.

I have not answered any of them because I did not recognize the number. They did not leave a message. Did a search on all 3 of these numbers, and when people did answer or call these numbers back they found out they are phishing for personal information. Do not answer. Do not call them back. And sure as hell do not give them any valid personal information if you do!

I forgot to mention they are calling my land line number.

This number just called, may or may not have gone to answer service (unknown because not sure if they rang long enough to reach my mailbox as it's through the phone co. not a personal answering machine where I can 'filter' a call).  Anyway, no message left.  After reading many of the reports on this number, I believe it's the very same calls that people all around my small hometown were getting SIX YRS ago but from different #'s over time, but always the same messages left; the "press [] to lower your cc interest rates, press [] to no longer received these calls, etc.  Funny thing was the earlier part of their message always began with "This is the last time you will be called (or last chance you'll have) unless you act now" !  Sometimes I'd miss the caller ID #, answer the phone and always heard the same thing, never a live person.  However, I NEVER pushed ANY # in response but would just hang up instead.  At the time they were calling from 000-000-0000 and 123-456-7890.  I didn't have and still have no collections at all, own one cc which has never been outstanding either.  Just hating the fact that "THEY" are calling doing this again after a yr or so of a break and now new #'s too!  Anyone one else in Canada receiving calls from this number???  Thanks...sorry for the long post but do love that we're able to check these numbers on this website!

When you get another call from be polite until you know you have a real person they think they have you sicked in and then blow reall hard into a whistle, Fog Horn might be better, then wait and see if they call back

Since there seems to be no shame with this institution I suggest keeping a whistle, a Fox 40 or an Acme Thunderer, and blow the begeezes out of it into the mouthpiece, or is this too subtle

ANOTHER irritating call where I screen the cal, and they leave no message. Damn people. These occur with greater frequency and its getting annoying.

I am just realizing that the calls I get are to my CELL PHONE (of which, I have to pay for minutes, so this type of action is DOUBLY illegal, with regard to telemarketers OR, and ESPECIALLY IF they are BILL COLLECTORS, trying to find out if anybody even exists at the numbers that they are calling.

For future users of this site, please indicate whether the calls are going to a CELL PHONE or landline.

If they are all (or mostly), then complaints with the proper authorities should/could be targetted by a class-action lawsuit -- again, ESPECIALLY if they are collection agencies pulling this type of BULL $hit!

If it is from bill collectors, here is a site that can help you pursue damages! (read up on the FDCPA -- if they harass you or use profanity (and a wide range of other actions) go after them!

THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT makes these types of calls ILLEGAL, and HARASSING in nature. Furthermore, if anybody from these types of places curses you, threatens you, they need to be reported (I think) to the FTC.

But, in order to prove this hypothesis, one would have to receive calls from the actual collection AGENCY that can be tied to these phone calls.

I sent an email to abuse@ATT.NET and abuse@ATT.COM unfortunately, that usually is (abuse@) reserved for IP/Internet/Network related abuse, but if I hear back anything, I'll update as I can, but I encourage anyone being harassed by these buggers to call or contact AT&T and give em a piece of your mind.

An automated message saying "We have sent multiple messages to your mailing address, and this is your final notice..." Then it goes on to say they can help you IF you have $3000 or more on a credit card...
I waited till they answered (USING MY CELL MINUTES), got a person who hung up on me the instant I said "I want off" ... the list.

Call this number and get added to the DO Not Call list - This will make it so all telemarketers are not allowed to call you, It takes 31 days to be added, but once you are you can call and file a complaint that this number still called you and they will then step in and check them out.

Got a call and tried to call back but got mailbox full from sounded like someone chewing ice or walking on gravel.  I mean seriously...they need a life.

This number called my phone but left no message... Smells fishy.

I've been called twice, now.  I have not answered either calls.  This is a very helpful site.  I'm hoping the calls will eventually stop since I have no intention of answering.  My advice, just don't answer, doNOT press 1...nowadays there ars so many scams out and about and people can gather your personal info just by someone answering a phone, opening a text, or pressing 1.  Document the number and the times and dates they call and report to your local phone company but do NOT press 1 OR give out any information.

Just got a call from this number (I am on the other side of the country), no voicemail left. Called back and it said 'mailbox is full'.
