Oh Buffalo Gal, you made me laugh! The caller I just had lasted about the same: 15 seconds or so. Hell no, I don't actually transfer them or even call to see if they want to speak to these idiots. A previous commenter, Bruce, said he called back and treated them the same way they treated him - I did the same and it was pretty funny!
Margaret 2013-04-25 14:16:09 Unknown
Bruce, I just did that same thing!! LOL Childish? Yes. Fun? YOU BET!

Ameribanc, you guys really suck....We received a call, they asked for the owner, I responded "speaking", and before you start your pitch, I would like to be removed from your call list...simple...The guy wanted to argue me down, called me rude...I hate these calls from these companies. They waste my time all day....BBB A rating?,,,really?....

I just got a call from a female rep from this company (Ameribanc) asking for me by name. She then asked how I "do" my advertising. I stated, "By word-of-mouth only.". She suddenly got a very firm tone to her voice and asked, "DO you, or do you NOT accept credit cards at your place?". I said "Of course we do!". She then asked, " How much do you pay per month to do that?". I immediately hung up on her as that is not the business of a person who just cold-called me (I don't know her and have never heard of Ameribanc). I didn't deserve to have my busy day interrupted by such a rude person. These types of companies are a dime-a-dozen so they had better change their tone or they'll never get business!

Rude and LOUD lady named "Gay?"calls and asks for my Boss by his first name, and then states "the owner" I ask what last name she has, and she says it but mis-pronounces it (and it is not a hard name to read) I ask who is calling and she rudely states "Ameribank- is he in so I can speak to him briefly?!" I say "let me see if someone is available" and promptly put her on hold to play what I like to call " how long are you gonna hold" for...and looked up this sight...Sadly she only lasted on hold for about 15 seconds.... play again Gay, play again..LMAO...

Rude is the correct description of this caller. I always remember rude companies. Caller ID is well worth the money.

So, Ameribanc, lets get something straight. I am not interested in working with, or doing business with, or conversing with, or giving my money to an organization that is rude. Just in case you are unfamiliar with the defination of rude, here it is courtesy of Merriam-Webster and please pay attention to definations 2a-e, 3 and 5 as they are most applicable to my first impression of your organization.

They call me all the time. I kind of enjoy messing with them. I call their number back and use the diretory to find random common names and do the same thing to them by demanding to speak to the owner. It is childish but also satisfying. I highly recommend it!

Just got called by this number, buy I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. I look up unknown numbers on Google. Now I'm glad I did not answer this number.
Maria in IL 2013-01-23 22:01:40 Unknown
Another address for them is:
2150 Manchester Rd, Suite 100
Wheaton, Illinois 60187
Maria in IL 2013-01-23 21:55:17 Telemarketer
Two more calls from them today alone. Only their backassward logic would tell them that if I told them (again) to add my number to their DNC the first call of the day, of course I was going to change my mind and want to talk to them the second time calling.
Has anyone had any success getting these scumbags to stop calling?
For anyone else looking for their information to file a complaint, here it is:
Ameribanc National
225 S Gary Ave
Bloomingdale, IL 60108

Yet another call from these bottom feeding scumbags. Caller ID shows Ameribanc and it's the same old spiel of rudely asking (or during my call axing) for the business owner. When I told them I am the owner and they need to remove my number the caller got 50 shades of nasty and started yelling at me and saying over and over again that she was "only axing if we take credit cards". They also try the trick of saying that this is the first time they have called me after I told them they have been told to remove this number at least 100 calls prior and have been calling me for years. After about the 5th or 6th request by me to have my number removed, she swore at me and hung up. They want to earn my business by yelling and swearing at me?! That's going to get them nowhere fast.
Please guys, if you're sick of being harassed by these calls file complaints. It doesn't matter if they called a business line or a residential line. If you told them once before to stop and they still keep calling, file a complaint!

laughing 2012-11-26 21:36:54 Unknown
there is a fix to this issue. idiots need to stop responding, as in buying from them because if it wasn't profitable they would not do it.
As for gov. fix it is easy, for Us companies, post their names and addresses online for all to see. after they get tuned up a few times they will figure out it isn't a good biz for them to be in. For outside the US scumbags, sanction any country that doesn't find and hand them over to us to be publicly tortured. One time would be all it would take for this to become less tempting to do.

lyn 2012-11-05 18:08:56 Unknown
Same type of response,
them: speak to owner
me: Owner is not in,
them: when will he be in,
me: never....what can I do for you, I'm it!
them: hung up.
this is so frustrating.
Our government,is sponsoring a $50,000. contest for anyone who can solve the problem with these robo calls. Makes me wish I were a computer geek. There has got to be a way.

Got a call from this #....A woman asked for the owner by first name and she said it like she was mad or something:
Her: "Yeah, is Jim in!?"
Me: "No, can I take a message?"
Her: "Well, is there another owner there I can speak with?"
Me: "Just one owner and he is never on site".
Her: " (click)"
That was pretty rude....I get this 4-5 times within the 4 hours that I am in the office taking calls. Kind of funny that when you tried to call them back that you can't/

hi my name is agent 462. it was an Indian voice (male) wanted to talk to the owner so I'd told him I fired the owner. (LOL). then he said can I talk to the manager I'd told him I fired him too. He then ask can I talk to the person in charge I told him I fired him too. So he said who I'm speaking to? I told him your worst nightmare kaakaaso he hang-up. LMAO these people are driving me crazy. We just have to mess around with them. Don't let them get to you if you hang-up on them "they won" and they call again the next day and next and next.

Second time they have called. No caller ID. Different phone number. Natalie looking for me by first name. I said that Ameribanc was on a telemarketing canspam hot list. Almost combative. She kept interrupting me as I said I wanted the number removed. She put her manager "Scott" on the line who insisted Ameribanc was approved by the BBB and that what I saw on the internet was from disgruntled former employees. He said he would remove my number.
BBB gives Ameribanc score of A-.
Call was about merchant services for credit card processing.
Previous number is 630-315-2537
