Caller keeps asking for someone who I've never heard of. I said "you have the wrong number". Caller continued by telling me that just because they have the wrong number does not mean I don't know the person they are asking for. The nerve of these stupid people!

Possibly inconvenient for you ---- but I'd suggest you call the phone company, explain situation and ask for a new number.  Clearly whoever had # before you had some credit/collections problems. Phone #'s are reassigned so quickly things like this happen. And - in my (long past experience) phone company won't charge you for a new #.

Obviously your account is past due with HSBC. That is their collections line. If you call the number back, or answer, you would see that they are attempting to collect a debt.

This number called me a few times a day from Twins City, Minnesota, and I just got this new cell number less than a month.  I don't have a HSBC account and no other people beside my friends have this number.

We just moved and received a new phone number.  This number keeps calling looking for certain people.  When I tell them that there is no one here by that name, they hang up without saying a word.  They continue calling the next day.  I tried to tell them that we just moved to this number but, again, they hung up without a word.  I don't know what I can do to get them to stop calling me and to take this number out of their skip tracing.

they call me also 10-20 times a day. I tried to call back and get put on hold.
Its a long distance number so I refuse to sit on hold.

No - it appears to be a new tactic. The computer dials the numbers, and if it get any connection, even an answering machine, it will stay connected hoping someone will pick up. Sometimes they will say something stupid like: 'hello, hi. are you there?. It's Jane (or someother fake name) are you there..."  They are trying to filter who is screening calls through answering machines. The computers ALWAYS dial the numbers and the agent is told which lines appear to be connected, or answered and then they get to it as fast as possible.

I believe this ICS is collecting for Household bank / credit cards. They keep calling and hanging up if I (male voice) answers, and they try to get into it with my wife (female voice) when she answers. We have told them well over a dozen times we have no account with them  - AND WOULD NEVER - now that we know how much big jerks they can be.  They say they have this/our number on their accounts and can keep calling to try to reach whoever the woman is they are trying to. SO instead of dealing with trying to get the real number they have their phone lemmings keep calling one they know is no good.  I hope they fail like Bears Stearns and we see these mutts walking out at 1 am with boxes full, heading into unemployment land. Then THEY will get harassed.

I just setup this new cell phone number and now I keep getting calling my cell phone number from this number.   I never accept the call, but they call back 10-12 times a day.

I've gotten calls from several different but similar numbers like 651-204-1363. It's probably the same agency calling you guys.

I'm pretty sure it's not HSBC. I did have debt with them but they recently sold the accounts receivable to these jerks. From what i can gather, this company buys up all the bad accounts at a discount price from HSBC, then they strong arm you into paying off the full amount so they make a profit. I wouldn't deal with them, simply because their tactics should not be rewarded. Wait until it gets sold to an easier company to deal with, then pay off your debt.

They're an outsource collections company; Wells Fargo home mortgage outsources to them.  I know bc someone put MY number on their mortgage application, and now I get collections calls for this jerk!!!  DO THIS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM:

Complain to the FCC (they have an online form)
Complain to the Better Business Bureau (also an online form by State)

F.Y.I. I.C.System is a collection agency. I have recently joined a debt mgmt co. and they have power of atty. However IC sys has a right to contact me until they are notified in writing. (I used to work for a collection agcy.)
However, in the meantime, they are rude & call incessently at all hours. They violate FDCPA laws (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). If any of you are called before 8am or after 9pm YOUR time zone... please check it out and report it.  You may be able to sue and be free of your debt! Actually they are only allowed to call so many times a week, month, etc. according to your state laws.

Who ever HSBC is, they are wackey, we don't have any accounts with whoever they are , yet they continue to call us. We filed a complaint against them. Seems they are out of Minnesota, must have frozen brains still?

Calling many times all day on home and work numbers.  Never leave a msg.

they call my home every 2 hrs- favorite time to start is 8 am- even earlier on the wknd- this debt has been written off    by the credit card company- these folks buy and sell this paper trying to get something out of   it- the way I see it the bail out of all the banks pretty much paid these guys off- my tax dollars at work thanks to our President and his friend Nancy Baloni

Got two calls today from this number.  I do  not know why, I do  not have any bills.  I started getting call like this when I got my new touch phone!  Maybe Verizon is giving out the numbers?

These jerks had been calling my cell every hour for the last 2 months, now today they called my UNLISTED, UNPUBLISHED home number.  I would love to know how the heck they got it.  I have told them numerous times that I had been out of work for over 8 months and just found new employment at a 40% pay cut.  If I had any extra money at all I would have paid them but I don't.  I'm doing what I can to not lose my home, I don't really need these people making me feel worse.  I have finally decided to file for Bankruptcy as I don't have any other way out.  The second that I have obtained an attorney I will be informing them that they can no longer have contact with me.  I am also sick to death of people saying "well if you paid your debt they wouldn't call you".  Sorry that I didn't get a billion dollar bailout.  I got NOTHING when my former commpany closed their doors.  Stop making honest people feel like dirt because of this economy!

These people keep calling and hanging up before I answer the phone.  Well today my wife of 3 months answered it and they ask for Loretta Runkles, my ex wife.  My wife told them if they would call back she would get Lorettas phone number and give it to them.  They didn't call back!!

This people are annoying, same company IC SYS calling every 2 hours from different number another number they use is 804-234-9008.  I called to make arrangement since I lost my job last month I fall behind with my HSBC card and they will not work with me. so I told them to wait until I get my Unemployment benefit, but they keep calling few times at day. I'm going Crazy.  What to do Help!

No one will give you a last name at IC Systems which should not be legal especially since they threaten my credit all the time.

I get at least 8 calls per day from this number but no message left. Not sure why they're calling or who.

They've called at least once every other hour whether it's a weekday or weekend. They don't leave messages. When I picked up the phone they hung up on me. How do I get them to stop doing this? The caller id changes but the number doesn't.

my phone rings almost every hour with this number 651-204-1337,this has been going on for weeks, finally one automated message was left saying to call back to 800-988-4145. I finally had enough and called the 1337 number to get some info and the woman who answered would not identify herself, did not tell me who the original debt was from, the only information she gave was her company was IC Systems. I asked her for the address and she refused to give it to me. I told her I wanted no more phone calls and to only contact me by mail and asked repeatedly for the address of her company,  she told me she was not going to tell me the address and since I was not cooperating with her by making a payment, that she was ending the call,  then hung up on me. that was at 12:15pm  since that call they called again at 12:53,  2:45pm and 4:49pm. th last one I answered and had just dead air then call ended, so apearantly there is no intention to talk to me but to just harrass me with repeated rings.

Have phoned my home phone five times today and have not left any message.  I have no credit card debt nor do they leave a message to let me know who or what they want, so I do not understand the nature of these calls.

Hundreds of hang-ups

I have been getting about 5 calls a day from these people. But I am usually unavailable to answer. I finally answered and talked to someone today.  I googled the number and found this blog. I have no idea how they got my number but when they confirmed the number they were calling it was infact my cell phone.

At this point I am calling Verizon to have the number blocked.

I receive calls every day before 10AM.  I'm tired of it.  I have had my phone number for years and they are looking for a different party - which I told them The caller ID is 651-204-1355.  I saw there number on my home phone then they started calling my business line. This has been going on for MONTHS.  How do you get them to stop?

I received several phone calls from 651-204-1355.  I answered the phone and the guy on the other line asked if he had reached (someone).  I told him that person does not live here.  He then tried to confirm the phone number.  It was a totally wrong number from what he had called.  He then just hung up on me.  I googled and found all of these entries.  I called the 800 number and held for about 30 minutes.  Never talked to anyone.
