just received a text form 630-410-9531 wanting to buy my vehicle listed on craigslist  this is a scam

Guy must be very busy, probably using an automatic check for new listings and then auto dialing number listed.  too bad craigs list does not list these scammer numbers.  slick but not slick enough.

Got a text from 630-410-9531 based in Illinois about an expensive item on Craigslist listed in Southern California.  This is the 3rd time over two months I have received texts from this person about various things for sale.

i am selling something on craigslist and he wants to buy my merchandise. asking for my info and paypal account. i asked for a phone number so I can call but he said he is in Marine and currently in the sea and cant accept a call.. sounds like a scam and i looked up the phone number online and found all these post. Thank God, I checked first before giving more info to this scam!

Same thing happened, posted car on Craigslist and this guy is texting stating that he can't speak, etc...because he is out at sea and wants PayPal information to send a deposit.  Very fishy.  Think I am going to text him back advising him to jum ship.  LOL! Scammer.

I Posted my car for sale and received a texts with this number stating "Iam a Marine and am buying this car for my uncle  am out at sea right now and am satisfied with your firm/advert price, as am requesting this transaction should be done via PayPal so the charges is on me and payment will be made via PalPal (if you don't have an account, it's easy and safe and secured just log on to".

Got a text from this number regarding an item I had on Craigslists. Said his name was Mi
chael Davis and was intrested on what I was selling, was texting me all day trying to convince me to sell him my merchandise and give my information. Said he would mail check and his shipping delivery truck would come pick up what I was selling....LOOK OUT FOR THIS PERSON IT'S NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!!

I got a text from this number regarding a timeshare ad I had on Craigslist. He wanted to send his courier to come and "pick the item up" and send me a cashier's check.

got a text from this number for a craigslist ad --wanting me to use paypal or give my bank info for wire transfer,they got real nasty when i said could give out personal info and flagged my ads.

Text me and asked me to send him ALL of my info so he can write me a check and send someone to pick up my craiglist item. Last time I checked all you need is a name for a check not any other info. Be careful this is a SCAM.....do not even reply to this number. They will continue to contact if you reply.

I had A craigslist ad posted & received a text from a Mr. Scaffied, CEO of ABC Distributing looking for someone to work as a bookkeeper printing checks.  I'm thinking SCAM!

received text saying from "Mr. Steve Scaffied, CEO of abcdistributing looking for a bookkeeper able to print checks and mail to clients with the states working 3 x's per week 2 or 3 hrs per day.... if interested to text back

Constant texting to our business phone for an item we have on craigslist.  promising check and wanting name, address, phone numbers of us.  We have dealt with the same type of scams before.  They send a fake check (verified by Chase bank), then want to send a shipper to pick up item.

It's a scam and they are just trying to get something for nothing, not to mention waste your time.

they call me and send me a  check because they supost to want something the i have in craigslist for sale but they are not real

Caller appears to be running a money laundering system through craigslist.
