This caller stated he was with the DNC/DCCC.  I recently gave them money.
He wanted me to give him money.  I politely asked him to take my number off his list.
He said I was not nice; and further stated he got a "meany".
I was trying to get further information when he hung up on me.

This is a type of "grandparent scam"

caller said he was our grandson but we don't have grandchildren. Sounded like our high school son (disguising phone number) so initially humored him but then realized this wasn't the case. Caller just harassed by continually calling us grandma and grandpa, asking what we were doing and basically repeating anything we said. I told him I'd be sending cops to his door and he said an expletive while seeming to walk away though the line remained open - he didn't respond after that.

Keeps calling my cell #.  Caller ID comes up as Varaschi Pernell.  No one there when answering.   Calls 3 to 4 times per day everyday!

I got an automated call from this number and the recording said that my ATM card had been deactivated, and if I wanted to reactivate it, I should enter my bank account details!
Yeah right! I hung up and called my bank where I know the people on a first name basis (an advantage of a small town) ... they told me everything was fine. I already knew this call was a scam but I called my bank just to be sure.
DO NOT enter any information here folks. This is clearly a scam to steal your identity and/or banking information.

I have gotten 7 calls today.  Several from "Private Number" that sound JUST LIKE the guy from this number with the same background noise level and such.  They claim to be confirming that I was confirmed to be recv'ing a cash advance.  Once they confirmed I was approved for a loan (which I didn't apply for).  They also have tried to convince me I should have recv'd a cash card.  The most recent time is the only time the phone number came up and when I tried to call it it is an invalid number.  I have told them to stop calling me each time, but keep getting calls.

They call about 10 times a day. They won't answer when I pick up. When I try to call back, the number says not in service.

Just received a call from this phone number 630-489-9027 with a young man claiming to be my grandson.  I know where all my grandsons are so I just told him he wasn't my grandson and my grandson wasn't in IL.  He seemed shocked that I said IL - doesn't he know things like that come through on caller ID?  I hung up after that.  He was probably going to ask for money and give me some sad story!

Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.
It is especially dangerous now because criminals are actively attacking unpatched Java security holes so don't let anyone into your PCs.

Called saying they are from windows and that our internet was sending bad files and asking for my father who is dead.  I strung him along then said I control our computers and that I didn't believe a word he said.

Called at 5 am said they were from the customer servise dept. at windows comnputer then hung up
