THIS IS A SCAM!  These people somehow get your info from a payday loan application.  DO NOT give them anything. As someone else said.  Just turn the tables on them.  If you start asking questions about them, the "plaintiff"  and their law firm, they will just hang up.  

After 2 rounds of this, I get a call from the "Federal Government".  LOL.  What part of the Fed's do you work for I asked.  He just said he worked for the federal government and they were going to take me "down town!" hahahaha.  

Have fun with these guys when they call, if there is a way to report these, do it.

Super rude guy left a message on the answering machine at my work. Try to call back and it is busy for 2 days. Maybe they finally got busted for scaming people.

Called left message said I owe them money, the nut cant speak English and I just called him back and said that there is a lot a alerts about this number I told him I was turning him in he hung up on me. I don't even have a loan that is what is so nuts

I just got a phone call from someone form the legal department of Norris and Dixon named Frank Lewis(with his thick Indian accent).  He says  I owe 155.49 on a loan I did not even take out.  I did not electronically sign on the signature page therefore i owe them this money.  There was a warrant out for my arrest, check fraud and theft by deception. WHAT!!!!?????  They will be coming to my job. OH REALLY???!!!  I need to take $160.00 and go to WalMart purchase a Green Dot money card ?  Send him the money today and my issue will be resolved.   I told him if I had the money I would have not tried tp apply for a loan.  After placing me on  hold and probably pretending to speak with lawyers.  He would propose different options..

After I googled the law firm Norris and Dixon I could not find anywhere on the internet  I googled the phone number I ran across all of these complaints.  I have moved from being scared to truly pissed!!!


I am waiting for Mr. Lewis to call me back in 10-15 minutes with the lawyers decision like he said he would.

They have called my place of employment saying I am going to be arrested. I owe them money and I don't even know who they are. They are just trying to get me into trouble. I really wish they would leave me alone.

Got a call today from these people, I talked to my attorney and this is a scam, someone needs to stop these people, they are going to cause people to loose their jobs because of this stupidity.

CALLED AND SAID IT WAS LEGAL MATTER TO MY HUSBAND,, HE GOT A PAYDAY LOAN BUT HE IS PAYING HIS MONTHLY PMTS.. WHY WOULD THEY BE CALLING HIM AT HOME?

I was called two days in a row from this number and I reported the phone number to my local authorities.when he called he said that I was going to be arrested Wednesday for some loan I never took out  and I would be in jail for 30 days . Thursday night they call and say the same thing and I told them well you said I was going to be arrested today but no one showed up to do so and I reported your number to the authorities yesterday so you might  wanna quit calling me.  He got really mad and said well you will get arrested . I said send them over I didn't do anything wrong .

all i can say is spread the word!!!! got the same call as everyone else today but i didn't buy into it.. because i was the one asking all the questions and when they couldn't tell me what charges or other information i turned the table on them :)

Received call stating they were law office for Cash Network American and that charges were being filed against me for $8848 and that I was going to be arrested tomorrow and put in jail for 30 days for fraud. I talked to 3 separate people and they all had a thick accent (East Indian). They said that I would need to pay them $300 today in order to "hold off" on the arrest. Each person I talked to harassed me continuously and made me feel like dirt. They called me at work, said they would contact my employer and report what I have done and what charges are against me. I was seriously scared, I didn't know what any of this was about. I took their number and told them I would call them back to let them know what my plan was.

I then Googled their phone number and realized this was all a hoax to get money. I am so relieved now! I plan on contacting the local police and seeing what can be done.

A man called me and said he needed my attorney's information for charges being brought against me. I said i do not have one and he asked if i knew what it was about. I said no and he put on hold and someone named Shawn went on to list charges saying I was going to be arrested the next day and thatI was being monitored online for getting loans and not paying them back!

I got a call this afternoon from a man with a thick accent (sounded African or Middle Eastern) saying I had committed fraud and owed a lot of money and would be picked up tomorrow morning by the authorities.  Now, the number showed up on my phone with a + in front of it, which indicates an international call.  I have a friend who is overseas so I picked it up, otherwise I wouldn't have done it.  When I asked him what country he was calling from, still remembering the + sign, and because of his accent, he told me Illinois.  I said Illinois isn't a country, it's a state.  He then got an attitude and accused me of being disrespectful and that I shouldn't speak to him that way since he was from his country.  When I asked him about the + before the number, he asked if I was blind.  I thought this was kind of a rude way to speak to a person, since he was supposed to be a paralegal - his words.

He then hung up.  I was scared for a few minutes, then someone suggested that I Google the number.  I then found all these other victims of this hoax.

This man named Chris Walker called me from this number stating that he was an attorney who had been hired by some company called Cash Network America and I had a past due loan with them.  They told me I had 2 hours to send them money or they would be filing a complaint and legal action.  At first I thought maybe this was legit except I never took out a loan for that amount and had never received any emails or calls from them.  He told me if I didn't send them at least $300 asap, the police would be here to arrest me at my place of employment.  The next day, I received a call from what sounded like the same person (couldn't speak english very well and same background noise).  He told me he was a police officer and there was a warrant for my arrest.  I called the police department in town and they checked, finding no warrents.  After telling him the details of the situation, he also believed this to be a scam and intstructed me to ignore them.  They have been harassing me at work and the police officer said they were violating the law by pretending to be law enforcement and this is a form of terrorism.

Just got a call saying that I owe $8000 in fines and a loan to a payday now account. As soon as I told them I had my computer on an looked up there number and see that they are a scam he hung up on me! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call today saying that I would be arrested.  When i referred them to my attorney he refused to take the information.  Said they would not call them.  Said I would be arrested.  I have received several calls at my work.  When I try and call the number they give is says that call cannot be completed as dialed.

They call my cell and because i dont use phone while at work then they call me at work. They have done this to me before and i almost got fired because they harassed my bosses as well.

I received a call from this number from a non american person stating that it was an attorney regarding money I owed and said to call back with my Attorney information. I called my attorney and they hung up on him... Too many foreign f....s trying to steal money off people the need to catch these b*****ds and send them to prison.....

left me a voice message that I still have. This person had an accent I could hardly understand.Something about Legal action against me unfolding. Left the number 630 593 5680.

This man called and said that I was going to be arrested on Monday and it will cost me $8000 in fines and I will be in jail for 30 days due to an unpaid payday loan.  The name he gave me is Shawn Williams with extension 143.  He said that they were filing criminal complaint and would be in contact with my employer to let them know what kind of employee they have and also that they would tell them of any prior issues I had ever had.  They could not tell me who the loan is with or when the loan was obtained.  Said the original loan was for $250 and they would settle for $891.23 but could not take debit or credit card would have to go and buy some kind of card from WalMart.
