I head the worlds largest consulting/training firm to the executive search industry. I have personally trained 60,000 headhunters and HR professionals in the last 25 years. Www.morgancg.com
Students of Morgan Method Recruiter training, outperform industry averages by 45%. More candidates are put to work and discovered without the usage of job boards and postings than any other recruiters than simply trained on the job.
John Cooper, who I personally trained and has stood out as an example as a high performance headhunter in the search of educators, passes on more candidates than he accepts. He is caring and will not relax his standards for the clients that pay him.
If he would clearly announce his purpose of the call in a message, the only response he would get would be from desparados looking for work. Unfortunately, most often, not the prized canadidates who have their heads down and are buried in excellence. Ergo the mystery.
You should consider yourself one of the lucky ones to be targeted by Mr. Cooper. 10 minutes into your conversation you'll see why.

I have no idea who this is.

I too received a message from this person. The message he left me did not make me feel comfortable calling him back. I did try however and received voicemails on both numbers that he left on my voicemail. I do not plan to call him back.

John Cooper is a highly regarded in the professional recruiting industry and his approach is mysterious and intriguing which is why I called him back. John invested a tremendous amount of time getting to know my background and experience before presenting me with viable opportunities. Most recruiters just call us and start telling me about jobs immediately without asking me first if I'm even open. I consider John a friend and colleague and highly recommend him.

Recieved message as well at work. I recieve numerous calls from headhunters/recruiters and they all tend to leave the same type message. John Coopers is very different - it concerned me that I didn't want to return the call.

I would not rely on information regarding who he represents. I also got a call, where he claimed to be working for yet another executive recruiting service, but his questions raised concerns, so I checked with the company to verify, and they have no idea who this fellow is. Seems to be a proprietary information seeker rather than a head hunter.

I did some research on this one as I too recieved the same call regarding "sensitive information" with a response deadline! "John Cooper" (if that is his real name) is a head hunter who works for a company called Cyberstorm Search Inc., which is based out of Chicago. IL. Google it for more info. They try to recruit or find better employment oppertunities for individuals in IT, engineering and management possitions, for a structured fee of course, which is based on the yearly income salary of the postion they find for you! They claim to research individuals prioir to contacting you, but my feeling is they gather information gathered from information you provide on sites such as Linkedin, facebook, Twitter, Jigsaw, etc.

I get a call from this number every couple of weeks. The voicemail says his name is J. Cooper (John or Joe or something) and he has time sensitive information to discuss with me. Maybe a technical recruiter or something??
