this is clearly a scam call

constantly calling<but not saying a word

Keep getting these calls telling me i won something and i know that's not true and i start to ask questions and then they get smart so i do curse them out and hang up tired of them calling

I've begun getting calls from this number too, and the woman on the other line (sounds like the same one) is now mentioning something about a Facebook survey, so headsup to the others out there reading this!

Someone keeps calling. I don't answer calls from a number i don't know!! Wish they would stop!!

Call from this number, went to answeing machine, nobody said anything, just a nother one to delete.

I haave been on the dod not call list for years 2009 and 2010, for my home and cell numbers and still get these calls....

Just received a call from 630-823-0527. I never answer anything I don't recognize. I just called yesterday to put my number on the "do not call" number. That number is 888-382-1222. It takes about a month to start working for you. So be patient.

is there any way to stop them from calling?

Every morning at 7am Pacific time I get a different call from a different state. I don't answer unrecognized numbers. I keep blocking the numbers, but next morning a new call. I am really tired of this. this morning a call from 630 823-0527 was received I called back, They new my name and said it was Publisher Clearing House.

This phone number came to my cellphone, and when I answered a woman said "Dianne"? Also with an obviously recorded background of human chatter to simulate a busy office. Just as I was going to say that she had the wrong number, she bombarded me with offers for discount magazines. I told her that I wasn't interested, and she wouldn't quit with selling, and when I sternly stated that she was eating up the minutes on my cell phone, she hung up. This is an obvious scam.

They called me wanting to help me out by checking to see if i wanted the automatic renewal removed from my magazines.  They've called several times when i just had to hang up because I was too busy to deal with it.  They tell me they have to transfer to a supervisor and this has to be done by midnight to avoid the charges.  Today when they called I finally asked exactly which magazine they were talking about.  They said it was group of 5 and insisted they had a recording of me ordering them.  He told me to process the cancel of the auto renew I would only be charge 30.99 instead of the 49.99 for the rest of my subscription.  Then they wanted me to verify Master Card beginning with the number 5.  All Master Cards start with the number 5. When I refused and said I wasn't giving him my credit card number he got very upset saying he already had it, he just needed me to verify it, so I hung up.  This is definitely either a high pressure sales pitch to sell you something you don't want without you knowing it, or a scam to get your card number.

Received a call on my cell.  No one there.  Do not want to receive any more calls if this is a promo or sales call.

The best way is 2 call them back.  a lot.  I was getting harassed by them and other numbers that they gave my number too( who were also scammers)  and the best way is to harass them.  I prank call them atleast 20 times a day.  I get my friends to prank call them.  You can request specific people so you can annoy specific callers.  They have only called me twice scince I started fighting back, but I want to send these scammers out of business!

got a call from some ignorant backwoods hick sounded like he had no teeth, asked for somebody but it was unintellegible  so I said what, and he responded with a yell "WHAT" but that was all I could understand

Got a couple of calls from this number, no idea who it might be, didn't answer. I'm sure it's some b****s having to do with telemarketing of some sort.
Take my advice, if you don't know who it is, don't answer. Let them call all they want, as long as you don't pick up, they can't get anything from you. I can't afford to pick up, I have a prepaid phone, if I answer I lose minutes, so it works for me.

I received a call from tis number Friday morning, they left a strange message,  it went something like this pause " hello 'pause' hi rosalie (person in background saying go on)'pause, clears throat' if he sees ya he'll send you home i'm jus t telling you i saw it happen made them get up and go home fired, that's his pet peeve didn't you hear him say that just for your info"  then they hung up, tried calling number Sunday and it said product services call during normal business hours.

I said not me, she the hung up.  When I called back I could never get through, it would connect and then disconnect.  Apparently they put the number in their system to reject after the initial call.  

If you block your number by dialing *67 their system cuts you off before it connects.

I finally tried from another number.  It took several calls to finally get through.  Lady answered, I told her I'm getting calls, however they hang up when I answer.  She said we don't have anyone in system with my number.  (I'm calling from a different number as noted above)  I ask her if she would give me more info?  She said let me transfer you to my supervisor.  I said I'm guessing I will be hung up on before ever speaking to anyone.  I was not cut off and actually spoke to a man.  I explained to him what was going on, including the hundreds of complaints on line tied to their number.  I told him the the prior person would not give me any information. I was able to get him to tell me the company name is South West Publishing in Ft Myers Florida.  He said they call to sell magazine subscriptions to people that complete forms on line about winning a gift card or other item (ipad etc).  I gave him the number they were calling and he said it was associated with a Kimberly Abbot with an address on South Madison Street in Denver and an MSN email address.  He gave me all the info.  None of which has nothing to do with me or my phone number.  He said he would add my number to his do not call list.  He spoke to me through the process without hanging up on me.  Answered my questions and said he would remove me.  All of which I'm surprised about.  

I'm hoping by posting the company name and city here will help somehow stop places like this from calling because a form online if filled out.  Also it may help others find the number online in the bogus format they utilize when calling people.  They a record of complaints can be established here.

Note that they place 11 in-front of the number on the caller ID which make it useless to call back or search online.  By removing the 11 you end up with the 630-823-0527.  The number shows on the caller ID as 1-163-082-30527 which is not recognized as a useful number when looking at your caller id.  

Keep in mind that when I called the number without the 11, I did reach a company that confirmed that my number was in their system which likely confirms that the number 630-823-0527 was the actual number calling me as they had my number in their computer.  Thus this is good information associating these various numbers to the South West Publishing in Ft Myers FL.

Same as Gordon Andersen's report.  Received text message that I had won Best Buy $1000 gift card, respond to website.  I did, but realized it was a scam for billing on my cell, I just left the website.  Now call today, didn't answer it, but once I read Gordon Andersen's report I realized this is the same thing happening to me.

I received sms and calls from this number. This is clearly a scam!
