Called, was very long-winded, wanted to offer us an ad in a publication called "The Turn" which would be distributed in golf and country clubs in our immediate area. (he read off many, and mispronounced several which kind of tipped me off that he may not be local).

Explained how the magazine would be tailored about the best golfer at the club and its contents primarily oriented about him.  Said people would want to read about the "top guy" so that would cause alot of interest.

Continued, without letting me get a word in edgewise that ads would run from about $400 for a small ad, $600 for a quarter page, $800 for a half page and all this for one full year...

Asked some pointed questions clearly gleaned from the internet about our business and was delighted to explain about how much exposure we would get by being in this publication.  Said something to the extent of - You will be seen by some of the wealthiest and influential people in the country.

Would absolutely not stop talking, even when I said we are not interested.  Just put the call on hold and he eventually hung up.  Called back a few minutes later, we sent to voicemail.

Its probably a legitimate call and publication but it is still completely unsolicited, and, the caller-id indicates it is from and unidentified number.
