keep calling the wrong number claiming collecting a loan and they are the Load Dept

Just received a call from this guy saying my donation would support police training etc.  I told him I do not take telephone solicitations but he was welcome to put something in the mail and he said would do so if I pledged a certain amount of money over the phone, upon which I laughed and hung up on him.  Didn't help his credibility that the caller ID said "Loan Department."

This ?George?, although I did not ask his name, from # 630-869-1327 told me he was collecting donations for the Police department. I told him to go **** himself.

receiving multiple calls at work.  ID says Loan Department.  I usually don't pick up such calls, but today I did - put it on the speaker phone and said nothing because I knew he/she wouldn't say anything.

after dead silence for a while, he said "Hello?  is anyone there?"  So, I just said "Hello, how can I help you?"
Hi, this is George.
<Gorge who?>
George Anderson.  Is the owner there?  Are you the owner?
<Owner?  Are you talking about our stockholders?>

and of course, he just hung up before I was able to ask him "why do you think anyone is stupider than you are?"

got a call from George asking for business owner.. i hung up

Dead silence for a few seconds, then someone came on and said "Hi, this is George". I said "George who?" He said "George Anderson" and asked if I was the business owner. I told him I knew no George Anderson and he promptly hung up on me. I called the police there, but they said so far this was not criminal, but I said that it was because he's calling the Do-Not-Call list. The AG # rings into a toll road account. Will report to FCC Complaint form. They just won a $7.5M lawsuit against a telemarketer!

I think this is a one-man operation.  George calls here frequently which tells me he might be a loner.  This is a land line in Downers Grove, Illinois.  You can call the Police Department at (630) 434-5600 and file a complaint.  Since it is a land line, the police department can trace its location.  If enough people file complaints with the Police Department, he might hightail it out of town ... and, who knows, if they make an appearance on his door step there's no telling what they might find.  You might also contact the State Attorney General at 630-241-6800 which should raise some red flags about this George dude.  Maybe they will start their own investigation.

Sounds like a recording or robocall. Says, hi, this is George. Then he asks to speak to the business owner. Hung up on me when I was not the business owner. How rude is that?!!!

Caller ID says "Loan Department", hung up on me as soon as I answered the call.

Computer generated voice asking for the owner. It hangs up no matter what the answer. It does the same thing if called back. My guess, telemarketing company trying to find out if it works better with a computer than it does with a live person. Answer yes! It still makes the answering person angry.

He asked for business owner then hangs up when you tell him the owner is not in so called him back he said he is George and ask if i was business owner told him now but i did own 2 other locations my self and he hung up on me.

He then hung up, I called back, he answered immediately said "hello this is George" then he asked to speak with the business owner again, I told him he was out of town, asked if I could take a message and he said the information was for the business owner only.

PS not once did he refer to the name of the business, totally freaked me out.

I hate hangups. Marked for spam.
