917-373-2982 called, I did not pick up the phone.  No message left.  Caller ID showed Portland, OR.  Why can't we put a stop on these annoying calls?  I am on the Do Not Call list.

Calls repeatedly, no one talks. GTFO.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in apparent violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I've received numerus calls from 1-971-220-1032 "lower interest on my credit card debt".  I ask to be removed from their call list.  Then they hang up on me.  When I call back I get the message to press 1 to remove my number from their call list, but they're still calling more than the 24 hours later. Who are these people? How can we stop them?

Please file a report with FCC.  Maybe if enough people do they'll shut these yo yos down.  Google report do not call complaint.  There's a online form:

received several calls from 1 888 311 0279 and since im a disabled vet raising my 1 & 2yrold grandkids saving every dime counts; i was stupid enough to give them the last 12#'s of my visa and after we hung up felt dumb and called my bank to close the acct. I  just cut up my visa & am waiting the 7-10 business days for a new acct/ card! If there was a way to get a hold of these thieves I'd be the first to pull the trigger!

It's nothing but a scam, all they really want is your credit card number. The Do-Not-Call list doesn't help. I have 15 numbers now from the same group of bottom feeders. You ask to be taken off their list and they will only call from a different number. IT'S A SCAM people. Most likely the numbers were getting calls from are spoofed calls.

Called and asked for sarah.......said they were a debt collector.......i told them there was no sarah living here.......i am sure they will keep calling.......they have nothing better to do.

It's incredulous to me that some of you are arguing with each other about politics when this site is intended to report harassing calls. Take it private if you have a beef with each other. This is not the proper forum for whining at each other or about each other. this , if you were unclear, is a site for reporting unwanted intrusion from annoying phone callers. Good God, people, get a life.

You might want to invest what's left of your net assets after taxes in either a spelling or typing course.  By the way, I am one of the 99% and don't consider myself to have a pitiful existence.  I taught!  Unfortunately, it would seem that whoever taught you wasn't as lucky (or skilled) as I was and continue to be.

They hang up as soon as you answer. It is an attempt to connect your name and number. Sounds like they're trying to amass a large database, either to sell or use to hack people's accounts.

Card Services is the company behind this call.

I've been on their list for a long time and I've told them many times to take me off.  I've also logged this with the FTC's Do Not Call Registry.  Nothing has helped in terms of stopping these unwanted calls.

I had the same experience. The recording said her name was "Heather," but the live voice was an unidentified male. I told him not to call since I am on the DNC list and hung up on him.

Call your phone company and request a "block" for that number.  Works great and is so peaceful not to see the number several times a day on the caller ID.

The guy asked if I was responding to the phone call.  I said, "yes and that I had no debt and I asked the he remove me from their call list" and he said, " I DON'T CARE!" and hung up!   How rude....  I called the number back as the name on the ID is "Portland OR". A recording states that you can be removed from the call list by pressing 1.  If you call them back later after pressing 1 it just goes dead to prevent return calls!!!  They can call you all they want... but they block your returning calls to them!  STAY AWAY from this number and company!  It screams scam......

I received a call on my cell phone from this number.  This was another of the "Cardholder Services" pre-recorded messages, although this time the girl's voice read more slowly than in previous messages.

I spoke with a live representative, asked him to never call me back again, and then I hung up.  (I've been hung up on enough by these folks in the past.)

Does no good to report the unwanted calls to the FCC. I have done that and all you will receive from FCC is that the FCC cannot do anything about the calls unless the call is a threatening call.
Apparently trying to steal ones ID is not threating in their reasoning.
I also sent an email and asked my Congressman, Congresswoman in my case, why did Congress and the FCC waste so much time and money to establish a Do not call registery/law when they do not enforce enforce it. I did not get a reply from her. The next time she visits my area I intend to ask her the same question and why she does not reply to letters and email

Received a call from DUMMYCOURSES this morning. Didn't answer as I was on another call.

For all of you that are upset because you are on the DNC list and the FCC does nothing to stop it, just look at the facts.

Scammers do not care what the requirements of the FCC are. Do you think someone who is trying to steal from you is going to follow the law on DNC.

With the ability to manipulate the caller ID info in the age of VOIP, it's an nearly impossible task to find where they are calling from or who they are.  Police and the FCC are not going to spend the $$ required to stop them.

Treat these calls just like email spam.  Incoming calls of  unknown/questionable origin should be not answered or just waste their time any way that tickles you fancy.

they have been calling for many years with different numbers and different women's names--same pitch--credit cards services and, NO Do Not Call doesnt work--been on it since day one--reported numbers for years--still get the same calls, which are ILLEGAL recorded calls

I've reported these scammers to FTC "Do Not Call" useless basturds 4-5 times with no results. I just sent a complaint to my Congressman asking why these do nothings do nothing! Please do the same. Thanks.
