I hung up on the scammer who called me and said I won a sweepstakes and had to pick up my prize from IMG in Schaumburg.  He called back and left a message on my answering machine that said " I am putting your name on the list to call every day until you claim your prize"  Who are these people ??  Said they were IMG ??

These people called me while I was in the shower. Didn't leave a message. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. From now on, I Google all the numbers that call me.

This caller called me and represented "Star Vacations" and said I had won one of five prizes.  Further investigations show that this is a telemarketing scam that leads to heavy handed sales pitches and a classic "bait and switch".  To find out more, just Google Star Vacations Schaumburg and see the complaints.  If they call, hang up!

I finally talked to these people and want to retract my earlier comments on this post-
I went and bought!
They certainly have different marketing calling ideas
but I got a free GOOD gift just for going and
ended up being wowed by the product...sorry for alarming folks

actually its legit. you pay basically about 200 per person for a 4 or 5 day cruise after taxes and all.
The cruise is worth about $600 if you buy from carneval website. it is a little hard to talk to the right person who really knows what they are doing but my boyfriend and i left from the mobile, al port and it was an incredible cruise for a great price.

I received a call from Cruises. Inc last night. I should have known that this was a scam. They called me at 7:44 pm. They stated that I had entered a cruise contest on line and that I had won either a Royal Carribean, Carnival or Norwegian cruise. First of all I don't even remember entering a contest, but I thought maybe I did and I had just forgotten. Well something told me to google this company and I am so glad I did!! It screamed SCAM!! I also called Carnival Cruises myself and asked the customer service rep do they have a affliation with Your Travel Headquarters and he told me they have NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THAT COMPANY!! RUN PEOPLE AS FAR AS YOU CAN! THIS IS A SCAM!

I got a phone call last night that my husband has won a cruise and that it is a one day deal. Call back Jenny at YTH 1-800-309-6196. So I check out the internet and see that it is a scam. Then there is a call back from a man saying that it is only $88.00 a person and I ask for a web site and where are they based out of, he answers all the questions without a problem. Gives me a web site www.ythvacation.com. It looks a good. But as you read through here it sounds really bad. Need to be careful with these people, they are good.
The wierd thing is my husband just signed up for a cruise through his work and at first we thought it was them.

just got the call from YTH vacations as well claiming we won a cruise. I never win anything so I never enter anything either. I asked how did I know if it was a scam: they have a very slick, convincing script they follow and directed me to their website so they could "show" me the "legitimate" aspects of the site, touting the use of major cruise line labels/icons, etc.  They said they were quality assured and taped calls; product backed by credit card from fraud, etc.  VERY slick!  kept thinking it sounded too good to be true: $89/person out of New Orleans for 5 day Caribbean cruise.  No extras to pay, etc.  Thank you "Idiot Queen!"  I logged in to this under a Google search and saw your comments that confirmed it was a scam where I promptly got off the phone. They called not once but three times to "confirm" my win. Persistent!!

I believe their agents are falsifying the taxes and port fee charges for the 3-day cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico. I am told I have to pay $176 taxes and $275.06 port fees for 2 people in order to travel on this cruise. That adds up to more than I would pay total (cruise, taxes and fees) if I were to book this cruise directly with Carnival Cruise Lines. I checked with Carnival and they charge only $44.03 total per person for taxes and port fees. It has been 6 months since I signed up for this cruise and I still don't have a cruise date. They refuse to refund the taxes I paid for or confirm a date without me paying the port fees up front. I doubt there is any cruise. Don't fall for this one!

SKAM...... DON'T FALL TO IT I recieved a call on January of 2009 from a lady by name of Melaine Ritter.  She had told me that she is calling from the travel headquarters and that they have a lot of rooms on a carnival cruise.  She said it will only cost $88 per person.  Sounds to suspecious by I went online and everything seemed logit.  I also called from my other phone line and got an answer.  Not only that the lady ad told me that she will give me up to a month if I need to order additional cabins.  So we had 2 cabins for me and husband and our kids.  About three weeks later Melaine had called me again and we ordered one more cabin.  The worth part is that last week I called and ordered one more room, and I asked if I will have a problem getting the room and they said that I am still within the 60 day range,  So I went a head and ordered the additional room.  I called about three weeks ago and I spoke with a person by the name of Christopher who had said that they are not booking for August yet, but that he doesn't believe that I will have any problems.  Unfortantely,  On Thrusday I got a letter that the date I requesed is not avaliable.  Since then I have been trying to contact the company via phone as well as emails with no response from them.  THIS IS A TRUE SCAM........ DON'T FALL FOR IT .  I must say I did a great job because I have spoken to at least four different representives and they all assured me that I shouldn't be worried .  and as long as I give them 60 days notice I WILL GET THE DATE I REQUESTED GURANETTED

YOUR TRAVEL HEADQUARTERS!  SCAM!!!  OK, so I fell for it all the way, got 1 cabin then I talked with my family and we got 3 more cabins!  Over 600.00. later, they can not book my cabin unless we pay an extra $137. to upgrade, did not fall for that.  I have talked to them seveal times trying to get the cruise booked, now they come up with a date we do not want 5 moths out, saying that is the only cruise they can get us on and they want $133.00 in port charges!  I asked for a refund and they do not give them, I am only hoping that I can get my credit card company to go after them on my behalf.

Please do not fall for this scam!  If anyone has any information on how to get your money back please let me know. They have a realistic websie that has allthe major travel certifications listed, but evedently they do not care!
These are all the phone number they used

they called me offering a 3 day criuse for two, to Bahamas $176 I paid with credit card.  Trying to book is a nightmare.  Christopher Douglas there rep.  says I never sent in some card.  Can't book without card?  They took my money, had me on hold for 45 minutes.  This is a scam!  They hang up on you.  Joshua told me I don't know what I'm talking about and not to be rude to him.  Sitting on hold for 45 minutes?  Is this not rude.  Boiler room operation!

First call was from 630/326-1610.Automated call from Your Travel Headquarters saying I've won the cruise from a contest I entered; press 1 and talk to a live agent. I got some basic info and asked him to call back. Second call was from 630/937-5034. I don't give out my cell # on those things! I have a special # and email if I want to do something like that, and always misspell my name. All it would cost is $65 per person for taxes and I have to pay that today. I asked if I could send him a money order or something (scammers like to offer to pay that way...)he said no way, just credit card. No way I'm falling for that! he didn't even know enough about travel to convince me he was a real travel agent- cause I am one, and knew what to ask him! Said I wouldn't have to listen to a timeshare presentation or anything. Real smooth talker.

Bottom line: It's nothing but a scam; not a legit business. Everybody can make up their own line... they just want our credit card #s.

I have received two calls from this number.  It has always been someone telling me that I am a winner of a contest and that "All I have to do is show up to claim my prize".  I try to remain polite as long as they are polite with me...afterall we all have jobs to do.  They said that there are 5 prizes which include an ipod touch, monetary prizes up to $20,000 and a Lincoln Navigator.  I keep telling them I'm not interested and the last guy says, "You don't want $20,000?"  I told him "Sure I do, but you can deliver it to me just like Ed McMahon does!"

I say yes and i'm not interested. he gets testy and asks what i'm not interested in, he hasn't even said anything. i say not interested in what he has to sell. he says how do i know he's trying to sell something and why am I being such a d!$* head and hangs up.    He should've gotten a college education and a good job and no one would be a d!$* head to him on the phone.

I answer the phone and a young man's voice that I do not recognize from a number I don't know (630-937-5034) states "Jenny?". I instinctually suspect something because our home number is unlisted and I only give out my cell number that is rarely used to any organization. Of course he has reached Jenny, but I figure if he doesn't know that then it will be more fun to play along to figure out who this character is. I tell him that Jenny isn't home but that I am her sister and will gladly take a message. He proceeds to tell the story of how "Jenny" entered a contest and she was pulled as one of the finalists for the grand prize - a guaranteed winner! HA! When I started asking him questions about what organization he was affiliated and where he got "Jenny's" number, he plain hung up on me!
