Got this call today...scam scam scam. Calling my parents, my sister, even my ex-wife of 15 years! They cannot get their crap together. Calls always start happening after I have gotten approved for a mortgage, car loan, etc. And, your wages CANNOT be garnished for consumer debt!

This # showing on my caller ID was for a Dr's office in Vicksburg, MS.  IF they were ligit, then why mask the true # they are calling from?!  Best way to deal is to not answer and let it go to voice mail if you have it.  I live in Mississippi so the area code was the same as mine.  If I don't know the #, I don't answer.

It appears they buy many different numbers from different states. I had a call from them and the message left was from a John Hart, they also called my family. I spoke with many of the same people stated above. I asked for validation of the debt, and also told them I would send them the police report and an affidavit from the bank as well as the Identity Theft Victim's Affidavit from the FTC website. Once I told them that information I was transferred to another person who continued to talk over me. She told me to shut up and listen. She continued with the same information that Michael Bernstein stated, when she finished I repeated the same thing to her, that I would be more than happy to send all the information that pertains to the Identity theft, she simply was not interested in it. She said they would continue to call and also call all my family. I told her that I have revoked that option, she said too bad, and see you in court.
I have tried to call back and it goes directly to the same ladies voicemail which is full, and I am unable to leave a message. After further investigation I have tried to find a fax number and or address to mail a certified letter with the information I have. It seems impossible to find anything, while they seem to be DBA under many different names, which one do you send to? I have been in contact with the Attorney General for my state, as well as the local police to file harassing complaint, without providing them a letter to cease all contact with me, and my family, and or friends, which is clearly what they don?t want.
Short of getting the attorney that I had for the identity theft to help, I am not sure what else I can do. They have these scare tactics that are obviously against the law, and telling you that they are a registered private courier is also against the law. I contacted the superior court for my state and county court for my area and was told that they are using false information and projecting themselves as some sort of law enforcement, which is clearly against the law. I gave the sheriffs department all the information that was given to me, either by means of voicemail, conversation, and the number they called from.
When you have to take a call from these people, if they call your cell, pull over and take notes. Let them talk, because the information they say is very incriminating on them, and certainly can be used in a court of law. If they leave a voicemail on your phone do not delete it, and if they call family and leave a voicemail have them forward the message to you, it should be an option on most cell phone carriers. Keep this information and provide it to the police, and FBI and the FTC because they will use it for prosecution of the company, which in turn will have to file bankrupts.
I was told from my states attorney general and the FTC that they will likely close and change ownership of the business and solidify and sell your information to the buyer, which is all included in their portfolio when they are solidifying the company.  The whole process starts over, and the good fight starts again, keep your documentation with you, and take good notes, and file complaints, eventually it has to stop them.

They go by several BS aliases. financial mediation group, dynamic recovery solutions and arbitration resolutions just to name a few. They also call using many, many different phone numbers. Since I am in the greater Houston area, they have used 713 904-1618, 713 338-2162 and 713 422-2753. A Houston area code.

Here is the message they last left: "Voicemail from (713) 422-2753

"You have an impending matter held in our office that needs your direct response. We have several options available for you to resolve this matter voluntarily. Please direct all correspondence to toll-free number at 8885509810. Please press the nine key to be connected to the next available representative. Thank you and have a wonderful day. This message is solely intended for ------------------. If this is not ---------------. Please disregard this message immediately. I'm calling from the office of Financial mediation group as an attempt to notify you of an impending matter held in our office that needs your direct response. We have several options available for you to resolve this matter voluntarily. Please direct all correspondence to toll-free number at 8885509...."

You get the idea. Just another low life collection agency who buys old, uncollectable debts for pennies on the dollar and tries to scam you into paying them. It doesn't matter if the debt is valid or not.

These people keep calling me asking for my sister who has not lived in this house in nearly 25 yrs and they also call my cell. I called back the guy was so rude said the debt was from rent a center told him it wasn't mine told him she didn't live here and he starting having an attitude. He in response to me telling him that I'm not her etc said then my sister shouldn't have given my number blah blah.... How I was used as a referance. Even if so then you should know my name yet they don't know it. I hung up and called back to see if someone else would answer and the lady did the same thing. My sister said she never used rent a center. This lady threatened to prosecute. I told her go for it and hung up within seconds my cell rings and it was them again. The number shows pvt yet she leaves the 888-550-9810 number. No letters of any debt was sent to my house in RI or in AZ where my sister lives. They stop calling and months later start again. When I asked the name of the office I was only told I work under a few lawyers in here. Ohh so why can't they give me an office name or head lawyer?? So it's a scam or a bunch of unprofessional lying jerks. So I called at night to see if I got an answering machine. All I could understand is Mrs Kaylin or some name like that at Financial Mediation Group. Gotta love all the harassment I get even when they know I'm not who they are supposedly looking for.

I recieved a call from this number 2108532335 but it only referred me to 18885509810 and to press option 9 for a rep. But when I called the number someone answered the line(couldnt understand name or company) and I asked who they were calling for because this is a retail store and im not getting the whole message just the number to call back. she told me and I said Im not sure if that person works here but ill check and CLICK! she hung up. ok so i tried again (this is before i read all these posts) and a girl named melissa answered seemed nicer and I again explained and she just hung up on me again. So yes be careful with these people they are trying to SCAM you out of your hard earned money.

I never call the number. supposely its on a debt i do not owe. paid that off about 2 years ago. its a scam they call from different numbers names always change. never got any thing in the mail. only been harass and threatened. Do you guys really think by making a phone call to a person that they owe some type of debt that they will pay you money without any type of confirmation in writing that they owe this so call debt. You think by threaten to take them to court or garnish their wages will make them just pay you, and still have nothing sent in the mail on this so call debt in writing by this so call debt collector agency or whatever you guys are calling yourself now. BIG SCAM!! Don't fall for it.

I just received a pre recorded call from 904-245-1222 telling me its an urgent matter and to direct all future calls to a toll free number of 888-550-9891. I have never had a payday loan and have just gotten discharged from Bancruptcy in Sept 2013.  I had once company tell me I took a loan out in June of last year.  I know for a fact I didn't and I have checked my credit report.

I've spoken to lawyers and the police about these type of calls. They are scams.  If you fill out any pay day loan apps online they can get your information.

Beware.  My lawyer said they have to serve you with papers.  I've had my job threatened and my home.  This is just their way of getting a quick buck out of people.

New number alert for this damned company.  It is so funny - still haven't figured out how they got my cell # in regards to the deceased Albert Pense that used to own our current home.  They are trying to get him to pay up on a debt and the man has been dead for several years.  Lousy scam artists ... another VOIP they are using is 678-683-9226 and wanting to be called back at 888-550-9810.  Good luck on getting information about a dead man ... ;)

Ok...I recently received a bogus bill in the mail now I get this phone message stating that she is Leslie (last name couldn't be determined) from a pending case in Middlesex county and she works for a law firm. All she needs is a return call and my SS#. Says she can be reached at this number ext 131 and that it is very important. Really...I work in the Judicial system and I am smart enough to know if I have a pending matter. Really these people need to stop!

I received a msg.from Michael Burnstein saying he needed a direct response from me. He called from 816-841-4167 but  LM to call 888-550-9810. I have been getting calls from several scammers. Don't owe anyone that isn't current. I called him back knowing it was a scam and a Lisa answered. After several minutes "Michael" gets on the phone. He refused to give me the name of the company, gave me a court docket number, called himself a court investigator with the citation dept. I continued to ask for a company and he kept saying he was with the court. I must have asked him the company name one too many times as he finally screamed Legal Mediation Bureau and I was an idiot if I thought I knew anything about court proceedings. Wow, public servants are getting testy. I have had enough. How do we stop them?

Recvd this call...came from 2132933089..asked to have me call back this number 8885509810..said to press option 9 but funny thing is, doesn't go to an automated system,  someone just picks up right away and answers "hdhsifhdnhd, how can I help you"...no way to distinguish if its a business or a person's cell (obviously they do this on purpose). Been called almost daily from different numbers, every single one appears on this forum as a scam/scare tactic. Never anything in the mail or on my credit report..obviously its not real.. seems like (based on my experience the last few years) different scammers in NY, FL, NC are all connected with your personal info. Just ignore it, they claim to be able to do things like "arrest you" or say you missed a court appearance, etc  etc ...but nothing ever happens, obviuosly I'm still here and jail free 3 years later (not to mention I never took out the supposed payday loan they claim my info was used for)...its 2014 fraudsters, time to adopt a new method of scamming people.

i submitted a complaint on the website, http://www.consumerfinance.gov. about the phone call from "financial mediation group".
everyone who gets a call should do the same!! these people are harassing me, friends, and family. they are breaking the law by also disclosing false information to others. they are only supposed to speak about the personal matter to the person it is in regards to. i asked them for their address so i could check the validity of their company and the man kept shouting, "No"! I called him a scam artist and to send something in writing if this is legitimate, and of course he hung up on me. These people are vile.

I received a call from someone stating they were from Financial Mediation Group. They called from 225-395-0545 but said to return the call to 888-550-9810. Got a call from the same people today. Lady's name was Leslie Clark.  She had my daughter in tears falsely accusing her of fraud, and trying to scare her into giving personal information, and settling a "dept" with them to avoid a court date.
I am pretty sure they have DMV records.

rec'd a call from URC INC - 310-540-1809, the man-machine voice went to say to contact financial mediation group at 888-550-9810 and press #9 for a rep to take care of my debt.
they claim originally collecting a debt for pay day loans/cash central etc.i've contacted cash central directly and they looked up my name, came up with nothing, said to ignore whomever that calls me for money.

anways, since then i've been ignoring them. i got proof i don't owe these people any money.

I received a call from 518-615-9592 - left an automated voicemail from Financial Mediation Group to settle a debt and to call 888-550-9810. I have received similar calls in the past, several months ago. I requested confirmation of my debt and received a horribly written email with typos and essentially no information except that I owed $2000 from a payday loan. I called the #, which seemed like it was from a legitimate debt company, told her the letter was poorly written and that my bank had no record of my receipt of a payday loan. She then asked me to fax over my bank statements... I obviously did not do that. I think I argued so much with her that she got frustrated and stopped calling for months.

I have been getting calls from various phone numbers telling me they are a Financial Mediation Group to fraud investigators about a check n go account. This is from 2005 and I have paid the check they off with money orders and final check being a check. The back of the check shows check n go placed in their account. They would not answer the phone when I called from a different phone number but when I called from my cell phone they were on it and knew who I was.
