They call and when I answer hang up.

They also call from 1-631-5840 telling us it is 2 years since they cleaned our chimneys & we are "due". They never cleaned our chimneys & we are on the Do Not Call list. I asked them to stop calling several weeks ago. We got a call on one phone line yesterday & another on the other line today.

I HAVE REPEATEDLY RECEIVED CALLS FROM A PHONE ID THAT IS SOOTY MARKETING.  THERE NO REPLY WHEN I ANSWER.  THE NUMBER IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN ABOVE.  IT IS 1-631-205-5841.  WHEN I CALL IT BACK, IT IS ALWAYS BUSY!!!

They call 3 or 4 times a week always hang up when I tell them we live in an apartment building. They always insist they cleaned my chimney. They are rude. I am on the do not call list but this does nothing!

Sooty Marketing calls my house repeatedly all hours of the day and night.  this morning it was at 8:15 am.  There is an 800 number but its the same message as the 205-58-- numbers.  PLEASE GET THEM TO STOP.

Same story. Got a call from Sooty, Marketing (631) 205 5836 at 8:15 on a weeknight. And I'm on the do not call list. Then they hung up on me when I answered.

Another call today .... after I reported them to the FCC and Attorney General's office in July, these idiots call me from Sooty Marketing. It's appalling that they are never fined or prosecuted for this behavior...They are so arrogant.
They have a bunch of different phone numbers they use. Today, the call came from 631 205 5834.

I called their main number and I appreciate that someone took the time to have shared it here and got a lady who said she'd take my name and number off their list...She said "sorry"....Like it's probably not her fault...but everyone who has been annoyed should be at least trying to get off their lists.  I report them almost monthly to the "do not call registry"...to no avail...

Hopefully this will be the solution...

The number I get on caller ID is 631-205-5841 and it's "Sooty, Marketing"
I called this number: (631) 205-5830 and I get a person answering "Serivce".
Now even though I know it's probably NOT this person's fault he/she works for s****y company... I wait and say NOTHING... then she disconnects.
I repeat this 7 times!
Then I call again, and when she answers I ask "How do you like this?"
She tells me it's harrasment and hangs up on me!
I then call back and I get a voice mail from "service"... this time some guys voice in the recording. I let him have it and tell them that I have nothing else importnat to do, so WHENEVER I get automated call from them again, I will call 50-70 times form different phones and tie them all up.
I really could give a crap about anyone who is about to tell me I could get in trouble for this, for this b/c I am on the DONT NOT FREAKING CALL LIST, and I already files a FCC complaint about these turds.

So do like I did - call them, and yeah... harass them. It's kind of like therapy. And as you tell, I'm sure I sound like I need some... but I am perfectly sane and normal, I just hate these kinds of companies.

7-7-08 5:35 PM  Received a call asking to speak to Mr. I asked who was calling, again is Mr there.  I requested a second time who is calling and they hung up.

I asked them what time they'd be here so I could have the police meet them.  The caller got the point.  My wife thought it was a little intense.

Phone call on June 16, 2008, 5 PM...I've asked these people to stop calling me.  THey persist...I am
on a do not call list.  They don't seem to care.  I always report this to the do not call register but it
doesn't seem to matter.

keep bothering me regarding chimney cleaning. Numerous calls at all hours. I have no chimney anyway.

My 83 y/o mother got a call from Sooty Marketing, telling her she needed to have her chimney cleaned.  Really? Forget the fact that her number is listed on the Do Not Call Registry,  she is in assisted living, with Alzheimer's. She was hysterical crying because she thought she  was duped, and could not remember if she wrote them a check.  The Sooty Marketing scummers better hope that I don't find them.
