Yeah he just called me too at work. Couldn't really understand him but he started asking for everyone in the office.

called my business phone and left me a voicemail that was 235 seconds long and it's just on-hold music.  No other indication of who this is but suspect it the same company mentioned here in another post.

Wanted to do a IT survey.  Has called back no less than 10 times over the past 2 days even after I have asked to be put on the no call list.   Does not take no for an answer.  Have hung up on the man who you can barely understand.  I could not make out the name of the supposed company due to his accent.  He has repeatedly lied to me saying that a manager in my office told him to call back when I know the person told him he wasn't interested and hung up on him.  Very annoying

Just received my fourth call from them.  It's a non-English speaker who says he's not trying to sell me anything.  He wants to do a survey.  The first time they called, I tried to answer their questions, but it was all about disaster recover of our IT dept.  I have nothing to do with IT, so after about the 3rd question, I very politely told him I wasn't anyone who could help him and gave him the number of our corporate office.  He has now called back 3 times and he's very argumentative with me when I tell him that I can't help him.  He said he was from "Remington College', but the background noise leads me to believe it's a call center.

I'm on that list and it honestly has not worked. How they got a hold of a private unlisted number is beyond me. What a bunch of jerks.

I agree! I get calls from this number but the guy says his name is "Nick" from a company called S.A.I. (if that's even real) he is so RUDE! If he calls back I will have no problem giving him a piece of my mind...

I also got a call at my job.  they said they were calling from a St. Joseph Institute and that they needed some information from our IT Department.  They also said they spoke to the Company's Treasurer.  Very heavy accent. I googled St. Joseph Institue and it is a rehab clinic??

Yup. Got a message similar to yours. They called this number asked for the person in charge of phones and named the CIO of our company wanting to be transferred to him. After telling them that I wasn't in a position to transfer him to the CIO. He got very ugly and said he has our CIO's number and will report to him that I was very rude and that this is an ongoing investigation of phone misuse.
Good story to intimidate people. Needless to say he was never sent over.
We get calls like this everyday of vendors just trying to get their foot in the door. Most times I just send them to a black hole extension. They get the hint and most do bother calling ever again.

that appears to be Lionbridge technologies. they try to get you to buy some of their services.

I am the phone operator at my workplace. These thick-accented people keep calling for our IT director and they claim they have a "disaster recovery" program to discuss with him. After getting call after call for months, I now pick up the phone and slam it back down. They continue to call - sometimes a male and sometimes a female.  I continue to get the calls despite hanging up on them. If I could call-block them, I would.

Just received a 3-minute voicemail message from this number. First 15-20 seconds was silence, then went into music. Very annoying!

Got a call just now for Steve-somebody, maybe of "American Charities" from this number. The caller was obviously not a native-English speaker. She was surprised my home phone wasn't American Charities...

Same here - this person keeps calling for our IT department and we told him we are not interested, don't have the time, etc.  The guy keeps calling.  I have their phone number next to my desk so if I see it, I will just delete the call.

why don't you just register your number on the national do-not-call registry?

I got got call twice from this number and when i try to reach them, silence for few sec and then nothing. cant we complaint about this number? is there any law for this?

They call daily to a business I am working at and only ask for one person.  Definitely sounds like a tele-marketing type scheme.  Won't leave voicemail and obviously won't take a hint that they won't be connected to the person they ask for.  Annoying!!

These are horrible people..They have been harrassing me for over 4 years now, I have asked them over 20 times to not call me at work but they do not listen nor do they care about the laws.  They call me and yell at me, they actually told me that I am a horrible person.  They call in spurts, non stop for about a week then nothing for a few months etc.  They claim that I owe over 4000 dollars but will not shoe me an written proof of the apparent debt, they wont even tell me the name of the company that I apparently owe the money too.  They all call me with very thick accents, claiming there names are John Smith, or Joe Smith.  One time one of the callers yelled at me so loud I held the phone away from my ear and I could still hear him.  I hung up on him and he called back a few minutes later, he apalogized for screaming at me and then offered to pay half of my apparent debt on his personal credit card all I had to do was western union him the remaining balance by 2pm that day... I have over 50 of the voicemails saved and there have been more... They usually end the voicemails telling me that only god can help me.. They are pretty classy people..

appears to be automated system, not sure, via phone to do survey; somehow transfers into a users mailbox at our company from CIO's, plays music (not our company's) and times out and goes back to CIO's mailbox........
