Ok just learned what to do. Here is a link from cnet on how each service provider handles Spam Text:

Also my service provider (tmobile) advised that I can reply to the text with the words"STOP" or "BLOCK, but I have unlimited text so this works if you will not be charged or if you don't mind if the reply cost you 1 text off your monthly allowance.
Also, which was not my issue, but apparently if you sign up for free ringtones etc these sites collect your cell and sell them for spam. I already explained that I don't use my phone for any such thing, this could only come from ordering furniture or home decor online where I provide my cell as it is mandatory.

A text message stating I am Approved! 4.49% blah blah with an 888-295-2032 number that says all reps are busy and to leave a message at the beep and someone will get back to me.!!!! I am super pissed... this is my cell phone and not a home phone... I do not appreciate getting spam on my cell. Tried the 888 number so I can in not so kind words advise them to take me off their list but got the recording.... So the question, what exactly to do... cause whomever sold them my number I am highly highly pissed with

This wasn't actually a call. They started spamming me with text messages!
