Received a call from this number.  I called back number is disconnected.  I think it is scam. No message was left. They call every other day.

Not Petroil Oil.  Petro Oil does not call at 12:39 a.m. to 1 a.m.  I got 4 calls at that time.   This is not Petro Oil.

Petro oil does not call at 12:38 a.m.  They called me four times between 12:39 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.

They are not Petro oil.

I just called Petro because I am not in collection and don't owe them money.  They said they have their own collection department and do not know who this Serv C company at 631-386-1100 is.  It's a scam folks.

I am a client for Petro Oil over 25 years.  Last year I got this call a the first time for a few times from this number 631-386-1100 and looking for money over $ 1500.00.  I told them I do not have that much money to pay you and I have other bills to pay first as real estate taxes and line of credit.  I made a payment plan and took them a whole day to agree with me.  I went to my phone company website under my account.  Verizon phone company let me screen out up 10 numbers I do not want to received.  I  blocked out this number 631-386-1100.  They keep on calling my this year about 6 or more times different time of day.  The call blocker dose not let this call come through my phone but this number show on my account.  I might be planning to change oil company next year who can work with me.  I already made aggreement with them 2 months ago and I will pay them back with my payment plan.  If they do not like that and give me a hard time I will report them.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone, though the call ended without leaving a message.

When I tried to call it back, it says it was a non-working number.

I got this call every two weeks from Customer Service that my account balance wes very high for Petro Oil.  They want $ 1000.00 the money I don't have.  I tell them I can work it off and the company said no. They want money that I don't have.  I made agreement to pay $ 400.00 per month for the next 3 months to catch up my balance.  They keep on calling every two weeks for money.  So I went on my telephone company website into my accont to block this number out as a incoming phone call 631-386-1100

It's Petro Oil...if they are asking for someone that you do not know then that person probably gave a random phone number so the could NOT be contacted to pay their bill...tell them that and then call the MAIN HEADQUARTERS and tell them.  That should stop it.

Please be advised that this is to acknowledge and also affirm that I am filing a formal complaint on receiving harassing calls from the above number 631 - 386 - 1100 on 2/12/2011 and today 2/26/2011. I do not know who they are and what is the concern that they are calling about as they call and refuse to identify themselves and state their business. I suspect that it is National Recovery Program? I have asked them to STOP calling me on several occasions, and I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau about how they do business which really borderlines criminal practices, who did look into the matter .But as you can see they continue to harass me by continuing to call and quickly hang up. Please be advised that each time that I receive a call from them that I will continue to file immediately a complaint with you and also with the Federal Trade Commission to request further investigation of  631 - 386 - 1100.I WOULD LIKE FOR THESE HARASSING CALLS TO STOP!!

631-386-1100...petro oil looking for money!

Recieved a call from 631-386-1100 today; the caller ID on my phone displayed 'Customer Serv'. I answered and a message said "this is an important business call please don't hang up", it said it twice, by this time I was holding for 56 seconds. I hung up. Obviously this is some kind of scam. Thanks to these posts I am now ready for them if they ever call back.

they call my house at least 2-5 times a day and we have never answered. they have been on this for about 3 months now and it is getting very annoying but we refuse to answer.

Yes, I talked to Petro, straighten out account and paid by bill now I keep getting the 631-386-1100 calling me saying my account is unpaid!  Whats up with this?

That number 631-386-1100 is the credit department of petro Oil they can call
out but can't receive calls.
I think that's because the company got so many calls from angry customers
wanting them to stop calling them so much.
I thought it was a scam but I called the main office and the number is
legit.

These people are not PETRO Oil as they claim to be. They tried to tell me that I owed them $1,000 when in fact I know that PETRO owes me $800. I called PETRO to report the phone call and they were very alarmed.

i received the call also and they said the exact same thing as "jim" jan 3 2008 and i did the same thing as jim and waited.  they said they'd call back also.    when i put the # in a "reverse look-up' directory, it came back unpublished-unavailable.  so i googled the # and that's how i got here.

they just called me, i answered and it was a message saying this is personal business. so i waited for one minute and it said 'all operators are busy', we will call you back later. sorry for the inconvenience. i do have an account with petro oil, i live in NJ. very strange call!

I have been receiving calls from 1 631 386 1100 with the name petro melville appearing as the caller's id

My wife answered the phone this morning(11-10-07) and a girl/young woman(she sounded very young)asked for Rob and that she was from the heating oil delivery service that I use. My wife said one moment and handed me the phone. I said Hello? and the other end hung up. We *69'd the number and got 631-386-1100. I tried to call the number and repeatedly got a busy signal. This is not the first time that we have received this call.

Call from 631-386-1100 almost every day, sometimes even twice a day.
When i call the number back the operator says that my call can not be connected, as dialed.  Clearly, this person is after something--most likely some kind of petty thief or criminal of sorts.
