I dealt with them as well. Their main office is in Monroe NY.  The phone # is 8457826079.  We made a purchase and were promised a sandals vacation. When we contacted to vacation company odenza travel they said sandals was not a resort in the package. We called customer service at cook world they pretty much did their best to make us feel like idiots. They said we should have bought for the health benefits not 2 free vacation 1000 dollars in grocery savings and two free wedding bands in the style we were already planning on buying. Now we can't get anyone in the phone the gentleman we were speaking to does not return phone calls and everyone is extremely rude.

I went. We bought pots and pans from them. Kind of regretting spending as much as we did, but I hope it's worth it in the end. This was only last week so I have no idea if it's legit yet.
We got our wedding bands free that they offered us, too.

I just want to let everyone know what happens if you do go to this meeting... i got entered from going to 2 bridal shows. One in Jan which we got called from the cookworld but did not go and another in October where we finally decided to go to the meeting. They did say that anyone registered at Davids Bridal gets a call from them. We did order a set of pots and pans. Weren't planning on buying anything but they sold us. One of my friends already had a set and loved them and we just got our set and love them too. Expensive yes, and I'm ashamed to say how much we spent, but it is a product we will have the rest of our lives and how many things can you say that about? The free 3 day 2 night get away is just a 2 night stay at a hotel. Thats it. But we are going to use ours in Niagra Falls as a mini getaway. On a Mon-Thurs and no holidays don't forget. Always a stipulation. I am going to sign up for the grocery thing but haven't yet. It's only $5 for S&H but looks like it gives you like 4% off a web site or resturant. Still, moneys money. We also got a discounted rate at any Windham all inclusive resort for buying the set then. I'm sure it really was a one day only special off (I hope you are catching all of my sarcasm) Anyways, yes there are exclusions to these "prizes" but above all else, we wanted the pots and pans. So they sold us on those. They really are great amazing quality and make cooking believe it or not, a lot easier and more healthy. So hope this helped all you brides!!! I know the feelings of being too stressed out! My recommendation, it's worth it if you care about cooking and staying healthy. The other "gifts" are nice but not the top of the line stuff they make them out to be. Just keep your eyes open and don't get caught up in it.

I also only registered on the David's Bridal site and have been receiving a bunch of calls and emails since then. This was from Chef's  or Cook's World regarding a trip and bridal package I "won", though I could barely understand the name of the company. I haven't registered to win anything of this nature and am really frustrated by these solicitations.

I did go to the meeting. It is not fake you do get a hotel paid for 3 days and 2 nights. You must put down a $100 deposit confirming that you will show up to the hotel. You get the Deposit back after you get there. You do get the food coupons. You have to send it in and pay the postage. And if you buy something from the cookworld/chefsworld you do get the discount. You do NOT have to buy anything from them to get your prizes. But, you can and YES it is VERRYYY expensive. But, after you go or whatever they leave you alone. I went I got my stuff and I was going to buy something and I changed my mind and they had no problem with voiding my order. If you do buy something you do get a paid cruise but AGAIN YOU DONT HAVE TO. Alot of couples showed up to the meeting I went to. And the guy that did the presentaion was kind of a creep... But, everyone asked if it was fake so my answer is no. I went I know.

I just received a call from Diane at 631-470-2886 and she told me to call her back asap at 631-271-2025. Well when she originally called me I ignored the number because I didnt recognize it while I was listening to this voicemail the number called back and left me another message. Before I returned the call I listened to the 2nd phone call and she left the same message except this time she meant to call someone named Miranda. Both voicemails were the same as what everyone else is saying. 3day 2 night to any where I want but it has to be at a Marriott, Holiday Inn, or Ramada. They only pay for the hotel I would have to pay for the flight. They also said I get $1000.00 coupon card and 20-40% off their merchandise. Their website is chefworldinc.com. It has a promotions tab on there that says basically what the voicemail said. Diane did say they will show you their cookware and let you tast some veggies they make in their cookware but that you don't have to buy anything. I wonder if they give you a crappy room too when you choose their hotel??? Wish someone had actually gone and got more details. Well the supervisor is going to call tomorrow before my 8:30pm appt to pick my prize up at the near by hotel so maybe I will ask him about this site and what the real deal is. I have to bring my fiance with me maybe if it rains we will check out.

David's Bridal Privacy Policy On Third Parties - link to privacy policy is on the website

"Third Parties:  David's Bridal may also choose to sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties providing offers that we believe would be attractive to our customers. If you wish to opt out of these offers, please send an email to remove@davidsbridal.net. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third parties."

Nobody ever reads the fine print, but you can just not use David's Bridal online if you must you them.  And it's not just David's Bridal, these other vendors are usually always with big chains, national, expos.  But in general, any service used online where you have to give personal info could adopt this policy if they chose.  David's Bridal doesn't care about customers, they care about money.  I personally had no desire to invest in dresses that were fore the most part, while affordable are low-quality and the sales ladies were nice, but obviously cared more about commission.  I never saw a single one say anything that didn't have to do with compliments and smiles.

And then they lovingly sell your private information to illegal companies.  And I'm SURE they don't know that this third party is scamming.  Because afterall, there aren't PLENTY of testimonials that have matching stories.  And it obviously hasn't been going on for YEARS...with the same company names, callers and numbers.

But in the end, they did warn you.

Prank Call
I am a minor. I signed up to David's Bridal to look at the pretty dresses, and I could dream about my wedding day. Two months after I signed up, I got a call from 631-470-2886, saying I won a free trip. I knew it was a scam and I am p****d off that David's had given away my cell number. I am only like 15, so it really makes me mad. I am also scared that they gave away my number to other people.

I just got the same call from cook world! I didn,t buy my dress at david's bridal but I tried on a few there so I wouldn't be surprised if it was them. I let the woman talk and asked repeatedly if I had to pay for anything. She said no...I don,t believe her! Ladies don't fall for this scam! If you didn,t enter a contest it isn't likely you won anything! I am curious about what goes on at the event, I won't be going however bc I don't thing it would be the safest decision, even with my fiance. Has anyone actually gone? I'm just curious to know what they say...

I got that same exact call! they said they'll be in my town tommorow and my fiance and I needed to be there to accept the gifts. I told her we were busy even though we aren't and she said she'd call when they were back in town in 6 to 8 weeks. I knew it had to be a scam because I didn't sign up for any drawings.

I do not answer numbers I do not know, so when this number called me I let it go to voicemail. Kim left me a nice message about how I had won a trip and bridal package and that she could only hold them for a limited time. Needless to say after reading these posts I will be letting her have whats on my mind if se decides to call back.

I got that same phone call today from that same number.  The person i talked to was really nice and actually made it seem like she was really going to give me those prizes.  I read the comments on this site and i actually asked her if i needed to buy anything or sell anything for them in order to receive them.  she told me the only thing i needed to do was show up.  the location of their event is not convenient for me to go to tonight but she would call me back the next time they are in the area.  i think i will go next time just to see if it is a hoax or not.  even if it is in a few weeks, or months, this way others will know what it really is...

I also just received a call from a Janetta.   I am so annoyed if my phone number has been given out.  I also was told that I won three great prizes and to claim them tomorrow night.
I am interested to know who actually has gone to redeem these so called prizes.

Please post about your experience if you actually went.  I am interested to see what exactly they tried to pull.   Brides are busy enough without wasting our time on things like this!!!! There can't be that many winners out there!!!!!!!

Apparently David's Bridal sells your name to EVERYONE. All I did was put my name down for a fitting so that I could speak to a consultant and now I am getting calls and emails from everyone. They never asked me if I wanted to provide my information to other wedding services. They did it on their own.

Prank Call
i got a phone call yesterday around one from a lady named kim.....she left me a voicemail stating that i won a prize from a drawing. i called today to ask how they got my number she said when i registered for the free gown at davids bridal that my info was sent to them, which was bs anyway. i figured it was something funny because wen i called and asked for kim they didnt knw who kim was and then told me to hold on...wen she came bak to the phone she said kim is off today but she looked up my info and that hoe name is joanne...first off i only said this is ashley...no last name or anything else....so how did she look up my info??????? she went on to tell me i won a free trip to any where in the world mexico, hawii, peurto rico, los vegas, anywhere. she said that i would win a free grocery card for a thousand dollars. no hidden fees or anything. she told me that they will be in dayton today at six or eight pm and my dumb a** chose six. she said that they would be at the comfort inn across from the wright patt. airforce. and my rep. would be tom.....i am very pissed off about this scam... i always knew if something sound too good to be true then nine times outa ten it is. i asked her like five times is this real and was it a scam and she  said... i have better things to do with my time than scam people.....(bi***).... davids bridal said that it may have been one of their partners...they some bull s*** to because they are suppose to have a secure website, so how is people info. getting to other people...scam artists.... the lady that called me had like a new york accent. she gave me a web site www.cookworldusa.com  and the number was 631-271-2025 they callede me from 631-470-2886. im glad i have internet access an i looked up the website before i went all the way out there and got my feelings hurt.

I also got a phone call from 631-470-7338.  Christina was so nice to inform me that I had won a bridal package and a vacation.  The number I had to call back was 631-271-2025.  She said that I and my fiance had to come to a hotel in Tinton Falls, NJ Tues (No date specified) at 8:30 PM to claim our prize.  I think these people are sick.  I don't see how people get off selling people's personal information and never have any repercussions.  I didn't see anyone else mention them telling them to bring another person so I felt that was interesting.  Trying to recruit more now a days I suppose.  Report this scam and let's put a stop to it.
