I have recieved several calls from a 954 number out of fort lauderdale, I never pick up and never get voicemails.  So today when they called I answered bc I am sick of the calls.  the lady actually said she was from davids bridal and I did get my dress there buttttttt, I said I wasnt kc and asked if i could take a messgae and the girl told me I won a cruise, but the kicker is it wasnt even a legit cruise line...I take at least two cruises a year and have been on many lines and it was one i had never heard of.  dont be fooled by the scam.

Thanks Ashlyn! I was so surprised when 21st Century called me and congratulates on my engagement! Then she said I was randomly selected in a lucky draw and have won a cruise trip to *somewhere* blah blah blah... I said I was busy and I would call her back.

Then I googled the caller number and found that there were quite a lot of people complained about SCAM of this company.

When I recall, the ONLY list that I had ever subscribe about wedding and wedding gown was David's Bridal!!! I'm wondering whether DB is allowed to do so???

I just got the same call today!! I also registered with David's Bridal but I did register for a prize package through Knot.com so I thought I had really won and was soo excited. She called when I was driving so I told her I would have to call her back-- said her name was Jamie. So when I got home-- before I called I googled the name that showed up on my caller ID which was RPLI. I'm pretty disappointed because I got so excited and also disappointed that David's Bridal would sell our information like that. This is supposed to be the best times of our lives and they are exploiting that. Like us upcoming brides don't have enough to stress out about! Thank you all for the posts and saving me from buying into a scam! Good luck to you all with your upcoming nuptials!

i use to work for this company & of course at first i thought it was so great. like wow this is so nice. when i first started i was given their script of what were supposed to say the these brides and i was given a list of numbers. i was told to say i got their name and number from bridal shows nd bridal shows if this is true im not sure. i made my first call nervous and shaky i got a bad response frm the first girl & felt a little bad. but as i kept going i called more and more women but i never really had luck with any of them accepting to go to the appointments. id always get the same angry response. "stop calling bc im not intrested/ this is a scam leave me alone" i would see how the other workers would place so many appointments and i wouldnt after a while of seeing  me struggle i began to get less hours and i relaly regreted going to work. i only lasted a few months. my point is that ANYONE WHO GETS A CALL FROM THEM SHOULD ASK TO BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST. they feed you the line "you were selected from a bunch of brides" no thats a lie your just another name among a whole list of brides. and when they say you better take advantage of it now bc this is the last time were in your area its also a lie they have like a cycle of calling where they move on from one state to the next trying to see who the can convince and they always returm to calling the places they have already called for months on end. and if you live in suffolk county long island ny  and your looking for a job and someone tells you about this company dnt go they tel you all this good stuff you get when you place an appoinment but they never give you anything. i had three of my checks bounced while working there.

Well I too was scammed into this. Received a call stating that my fiance and I had won three prizes...3 days 2 nights in a hotel, $1000 in grocery coupons and %50 off  chefworld cookware.. We were not really sure we wanted to go...but decided hey, why not?!  Wish we didnt...on top of being completely unfprofessional and taking personal calls during the seminar (which really made it DRAAGG) He was also somewhat RUDE... at the end he so ok well decide what package you want and meet me in the back...well as one couple was sitting with him and deciding what they were ordering..my fiance and a couple others were standing at the front completely confused as to what to do..he rudely asked if there was a problem or if they had a question and they said "what about the free trip?"   he said " if you want your trip here! but can i ask you..is a trip more important that your families health?"---what is that all about! we were called to come down because we won a prize! cause we are newly engaged saving for a wedding and a future and were thrilled by a prize!! ---we did not go to spend money!! - he was completely rude about us not wanting to buy anything and handed the "trip" over...my fiance asked how it worked and his response was "its pretty self explanatory"---um, ok thanks. AND to boot...when we got home and read the info...he failed to mention that we had to send in a $100 deposit...and i personally do not trust it, so i will not be sending it in. so...all in all ...that was probably the biggest waist of 2 1/2 hours of my life...ya ...not 90 minutes...more like 180 minutes...dont do it.

Well that is a huge bummer. I also recieved a call today talking about the same information as stated in all of the above messages, 3 day, 2 night trip, the $1000 coupons in everyday items and 20%-40% off the Chef World products. I was really looking forward to that. the meeting was scheduled on very short notice...the next day.  I told my soon to be mother in law and my mom about it and was so excited but that female intuition told me to google it and now i am sorta glad i did. I decided to call them back to get the name of the company and when i asked to talk to Irene, the lady that left me the message, I was told that no one by that name worked there. instantly a flag went up. Then a woman got on the phone and said, hello my name is irene, how can i help you. flag number 2. i asked for their website so i could "go and look up their products". the website i was given was one that Lisa above listed.
so needlessly to say, i will not be going because i do not need crazy bogus charges to my card or some health food cook ware.

They called me three times (two different numbers) and left me two voicemails, one from each phone number.  Numbers: 631-470-7338 / 631-470-6339.  My iPhone automatically tells me its a call from NY, so it confirms everyone's suspicions about their location.

The first voicemail was obviously from some call-center because I could hear several ladies speaking in the background, as if pitching some sales.  The speaker was a woman who appeared to be unaware (or was she?) that she was leaving me a voicemail, as she seemed to be carrying on a conversation with herself or someone near by.  I couldn't understand anything except, "Hello?" and "Well, works for her", followed by a hang up.  She was rather obnoxious and sarcastic sounding.

The second voicemail (left only 3 minutes later) was from a different woman's voice. She says her name is Ardine(?) and that she is with ChefWorld. She says she's trying to reach me about a bridal package and I have been selected from a bridal drawing. She says she has some gifts on hold for me for a limited time and to call her at 631-271-2025 Ext. 8670(?).  Her accent is a little hard to understand, but at least her voice was pleasant, unlike the previous caller.

I did register at David's Bridal LAST DECEMBER!  I have received multiple scam calls since then, but this is the first I have received for almost 3 months now.  It is odd that this Chef World would be calling me now and not sooner, so I wonder if they got my information from another source instead.  I have not been to any showcases or conventions, etc, but I did register for my wedding gifts at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Target earlier this month.  I also bought my invitations from MagnetStreetcom/wedding about two weeks ago.  So any of those sources could of leaked my info.

Needless to say, I don't plan to call them back.  Even if it were legit, I don't need any cookware or a free cruise.

I got the same call from RPLI Inc.  The women calling was Anna and said I won something.  When I tried to call the number she left on her message the ext. she gave was not active.  Then when I called the actual number she called me from it rang and rang.  A lady picked up and then quickly hung up... all a little shady.  I called back and it went right to a voicemail that just says I reached a bridal dept. no company name or anything. Unaware of it being a scam at the time, I left my info. for her to call me back.   Thank you everyone for your posts or else who knows how far it would have gotten.  There should be a way to turn these people in if they are truly stealing money from people.  It's awful.  Here are the two numbers of theirs that I have - 631-470-7341 and 631-271-2025 ext 5014.

I received this call on 5/16/10. I didn't recognize the phone number but did listen to the voicmail. It was from Kristina. Several months ago I filled out a card but can't remember where or what company was sponsoring it. Nonetheless, I figured it was a scam. Thanks for the info from everyone else to comfirm my suspicions.

Yeah, I got a call from the same number and person claiming the same things... The only place I had put my info in, was at David's bridal when I went there to take a look on some dresses and I also subscribed at the site to win a wedding gown... So, I guess they sold my info... That sucks!
I'm glad I googled it and found out that it's a scam before calling this number back. Thanks girls! :)

Thank you both for your posts, I got a voicemail message from this number and the message said my name was pulled from a drawing. I have never been to Dave's Bridal but I did sign up for a Bridal Event at Ridgefield Regency located West Orange, NJ. Here's the thing I never showed up to that event and I think my number may have been given out by a website I signed up to receive

These people report that they are from 21 century rp brides- IT'S A SCAM!!! They trap you in by saying that you were randomly selected in a drawing and that you won a cruize for you and your fiance. BE AWARE, it's boogus! They tell you in order for you to claim your prize you must promptly go to a meetin with your fiance and listen to a 90 minute seminar (they sell pots and pans and china which most newly weds need). Then they say you need to put a deposit down for the air fair, and the only days you can go on the cruises are Mondays-Wednesdays. Most of the time they are blocked out. They get your credit card number and charge huge amounts which are undetecte until later when it's too late. DAVIDS BRIDAL IS TO BLAME- THEY SELL CUSTOMERS INFORMATION.

My mother and I just received a call from Christina at 631-470-7338 ...  She said I had won a Bridal drawing and had won three gifts, two of them being a 3 day, 2 night hotel stay and $1000.  in grocery coupons from grocerycouponsusa.com ... but she wanted me to call her back at 631-271-2025.

My fiance looked up grocery coupons USA and found it to be a scam.  Also, if you look on brides.com, most of the ladies there will say it is a scam.

David's Bridal must have given them my information.  How else would they have gotten my mother's cell phone number?  I just recently bought my wedding gown from them, and my mother helped me pay for it, so yeah...

Anyway, I just figured I would chime in.  I'd hate for anybody to fall for a scam...
