I also received a cell phone phishing call telling me that my debit card was blocked, to press #1 and enter my 16 digit card number. I smelled a rat right away. I called my bank (Wells) and they were clueless that it was happening or what should be done...the number that called was: 718-683-3104. It said the call was from NY, but I did a number search and it looks like it really came from Texas. How many people will fall for this and why aren't the banks more on top of it?

I got a call from this number today,. They called 3 times in the space of a minute. I let it go to voicemail the first 2 times. On the third time I answered. It was Lauren Silva calling on an order I placed two weeks ago. Pretty much trying to placate me, as I am rather pissed off with them. They shipped my package on the 14th and it never arrived. USPS says it should have arrived on the 16th (according to what Lauren Silva told me). I don't advise buying from them, their customer service is horrible.

I looked this number up and it belongs to this company www.laurensilvagroup.com I think the FTC should be looking into this.

Got the same exact message some time ago & they also called on another # 214-232-0615. They claim I have a Wells Fargo Bank card & I don't even bank with them. They have also called my mom with the same message I told her to hang up. Feel sorry for people who actually have that bank & possibly fall for the call.

If you get a call from 631-475-6415 and the automated system claims to be with WELLS FARGO stating that your card has be deactivated. DO NOT enter your debit/credit card #, your expiration date, or your pin # to reactivate your card. This is fraud activity and you will need to report your card lost or stolen immediately with your bank or carrier.  No bank should ever request your card # , expiration date, nor PIN # over the phone or through automated system without first verifying additional information.

Call received 30AUG2011 at 2210 from 631-475-6415 on cell phone. Rang twice and hung up.

Got call From Wells Fargo about unlocking my VISA card on cell phone, home phone and my wife's cell phone.  One we do not own a Wells Fargo card and secondly every time there was some "suspicious" activity it was a live person calling.

Got a call at 1:13 a.m. PST.  Half asleep, but remember "Wells Fargo calling to advise that your card has been suspended for security purposes."  I don't even have a Wells Fargo card so I just hung up.  Incoming number on cell phone said BLOCKED.

I just received the call (12:30 am) and was sound asleep.  The number was blocked.  This webpage just happened to be the only one that came up when I did a google search about it.  Same things as what others have posted -- automated voice saying it was Wells Fargo and my account has been blocked for security reasons and to press 1.  I, too, just hung up.

Got a missed call about 30 minutes ago from 631-475-6415; they left no message.  Glad I didn't answer it and looked it up online; I cannot stand scams, especially on my cell phone!  PS - I don't know anyone in NY!

Just misted  a call from 631-475-6415  called back and it was the Warren center for internet.Yesterday i got a call from 602-492-9347 one from NY and one from AZ things are geting bad out.

Locked my wells fargo debit card?  Great!  I dont have one!!

My whole family has been called with this scam. Ours came from 602-492-9347. My mother got hers from this number. All calls were made to our cell phones.

I got the exact same Wells Fargo call, but from a different phone number. 214-232-0615.  (TX, USA)

Also received call & voice mail to my cell phone at 11:42 pm Sun 8/21/11 stating from Wells Fargo. Didn't give them the satisfaction of a reply.

Got a two calls from this number. The first time a message was left telling me a wells Fargo credit card had been locked for security reasons. The second call came at 12:30 AM! Tried calling it back the next morning and can't talk to anyone. Does anyone know how to make this stop?

My phone rang at 1:30 in the morning Sunday night, and when I answered it said it was Wells Fargo. No bank would call at that time of night and on a weekend. Definitely a scam!

Same here .... got a clipped-off call from "Fargo Bank" saying my Visa card has been locked and asking me to press 1. I sensed a scam and this thread confirmed it. Thanks!

Was sent a text message: "You've got a new voicemail from (631) 475-6415." Called back out of curiosity, answering system said it came from a "group of online merchants." No one was available as this was not during their normal business hours.

Obviously a text-messaging scam.

It must be a scam!  I received a call from this number this morning, it is Sunday and 7:13 am!  The call went to voice mail.  When I retrieved the message, which only half of the message was there (the message didn't say it was from a bank, but did say that my account had been frozen and the press 1-apparently their robo-callers aren't set up for voice mail -good for me!).  I have gotten  text before, but never a call.

caller said my Wells Fargo account was frozen and press 1 to unfreeze.

Just received a call:  "This is Wells Fargo Bank and we are calling to inform you that your Visa Card has been locked for security reasons.  Please press 1 for assistance in unblocking your card."  I pressed 1 and another voice came on line saying:  "Please enter your 16 digit Visa Card number".  Needless to say I hung up.

Not a bank in this country would send an automated message requesting this type of information!!  This is a scam to collect your card number.

I recieved the same call. Try calling it back and I thing you'll be suprised.

same here got 631-475-6415 came up i got the automated vioce saying my visa issued by wells fargo's been locked and press one to unlock is jacked
for one: no bank on earth would allow a autmated call and one button to allow your card to the used in any manner, two; i have never been a wells fargo member

I am having phone calls from (631) 475-6415 about my Wells Fargo Visa card.  One time they ask me to type in the number to unlock the account.  Today they told me my Visa card was blocked.  I called Wells Fargo and they told me that none of the Wells Fargo telephone numbers start with the area code of 631.  Usually they call my home phone....today they called my cell phone.  My phone recorded that the call came from New York.
