Just received similar call from 202-204-0484 about blacklisted passport due to some cases running against myself. I called back and asked for the address and other details. Guy replied he will handover to his secretary and then hung up on me.

Please beware of these scam callers and as soos as you receive it, report it to FBI or Government officials. Some people threat US Citizens using government agencies name. Very shameful.

This happened to me on 13th Friday sep 2013. They took usd 4300  from me scared me the hell out of me. They knew my details, guided me how the money can be paid. This is all prank an fraud . They target h1 people with family. The fellow introduced me from uscis ( as Steve) . This is happening in all places in us. As I have gone through this, I know the pain an trout urge they give. This is a well organized crime.  The way they call and torture you on phone is terrfic. This is my suggestion, as soon as you get this type of call go to your employer and tell them. That's it.

I am a victim and lost $4000 .. I found it late that this is a scam. These people are targetting their own people from India. It's hard earned money. Feeling very bad and upset. THere is no way to get the money back. To whom should I report to protect all the shared personal detail information.

It happened to me also. Just now. Got a call from 800-375-5283. The guy said the same stuff -- issue with i94, some number needs to be updated etc. They he took my details and transferred to another guy 2. He asked more questions and transferred to guy 3. In the entire process, I ended up providing details. I guess they already had a lot of details. Guy 3 started asking to transfer $750 through Western Union. Then he hungup after the money transfer discussion went long. Its a SCAM. Dont get duped. And dont provide your details either.

I got a call approximately at 9:30 am on July 19th stating that it was from USCIS. He was having an indian accent. It was regarding my Alien number not updated. He told me to check the incoming number on the screen and verify against the USCIS contact us number on the website. 800-3755283. It was correct. I assumed it is original USCIS and he asked for my passport number which i gave him. He told me that due to unable to update the A number will result in deportation. Upon convincing him that it was Human error he told me to go to India , New Delhi and update the the A number in 24hrs. I told him it wasn't possible since i have work and family commitments. He consulted with his Sr. manager  and said i can pay cash via Green Dot. He told me again and again that all this conversation is recorded.

While all this was happening i was reading online and realized its a scam. I am just worried that he has my passport no. and also my home address in India. Please advice how can i avoid misuse of my passport ?

I too got the same kind of call from person name Ryan Wilson (330-812-35209) on 1st April. I was in office and received this call around 3 PM. He said that he is calling from DHS, started talking about some CBP (customs and border protection) rules regulation numbers and acts?and then said that they have received some case from Indian supreme court regarding cancelling my immigration status and deporting me back to India. He said that some legal documents were sent multiple times to my home address and I didn?t reply to those. Because of that I have some penalties.

Initially I thought my friends are trying to make me April fool, since it was 1st of April. But he kept on going took my all passport and visa details. Later on asked me to transfer $802 via western union money transfer and said that if I don't transfer the money then they will cancel the immigration status and blah blah..When I said that I will confirm this about my HR attorney then he said do not involve company in this,,,,

Luckily I was with my boss in the office and he asked me not to transfer any money. My boss said that call is fake and when we started asking him about his identity he gave his name Ryan Wilson, some badge number,,phone number..but he hung up the phone very soon after that.

I got the same call from a different number that is4848339002 stating that he is an officer from homeland security and his name was Ryan Wilson as mentioned by most of them. He said that I missed some a number in my immigration form so they have a case in my name and penalty of 907 dollars to pay immediately. When I said that I have a 2 year baby and cannot go rite now to western union. He tried to threaten me that my visa will be cancel led and bla bla...by that time my husband came home and we went to western union but my husband tried to call that number back but there was no automated call as it should be with govt calls.my husband then asked that fraud if he could tell him his SSN in order to confirm that he us calling from USCIS as they should have this information. But the posing officer replied that he is from investigating department and does not have this information and rest other details I had already given him. So we stopped the transfer fortunately at the rite time and said him that we want to talk with our attorney then get back. To this he go angry and pretended to say his staff that cancel this lady's visa ,so that he can scare us..we just said do whatever you want to do and hanged up.

Thanks for posting this on this forum. I just got the same phone call from some Ryan Wilson ph 631-609-3866 and ext 2846. I didnt give too much information and asked for some days to figure out what is going on. But, he seemed to know quite a bit about me already. I googled this number and found this forum. I dont think USCIS will call somebody in person and there should always be some paperwork. I will call USCIS and my local counselor tomorrow to report this.

I wife got a call from this number stating the person on the other end is calling fro USCIS and that she is being deported due to some missing details in I94 form. Though intitially she freaked out but mentioned that the caller should contact her husband (that is me). The fraud caller then called me in seconds (even before my wife could inform me of the caller). From the way this person was calling, I thought some friend of mine is calling a prank on me and I discontinued the call.

But for unsuspecting, this could be serious breach of personal information and potential loss to wealth..

Yes...even I received same fake call today ...i visited india for 1 month in march 2013....it looks like some kind of fraud is going on...exactly same fake american accent and threat of deportation along with legal case in supreme court of India was given to me. I got a doubt when that guy asked me to deposit money(907$) to someone called Mr Sudhir Kumar in India. I hung up and called USCIS where they denied to have called me for any such matter. Please be careful its complete fraud. I have reported to FTC.

http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-631-609-3866

look this one

My friend received a call yesterday from this number saying they were calling from USCIS and that they will be waiting for him to deport back to india. They have his passport details also. They told that they want to stay in phone call until all process completes. They ask him to send USD to 4 different names to India through Western Union. Like one for 875& one for 935$.........thing is like in india, if Indian rupees is less than 49,999 Rs/- they will give cash, if it  crosses 50,000 Rs/- westren union people will give check............. that's the reason they preferred like 875, 935.........which will be less than 50,000 INR.....so that they can easily withdraw from western union location in India............

Claims to be the USCIS, with immigration. Complete fraud..............

I guess they targeted H1 people. Most of the people are doing contract jobs in USA. It is easy to scare them and get some money. Some how they are getting all Visa info/Adddress info/Passport details ..............

Only way to track that people ........

1) With the help of Western Union people (India branch), it may possible..............to catch them

--  Everyone should give their ID details before withdraw money from Westron union branch in India
--  There is 100% chance of giving fake ID details, it will happens in this case...............next
--  By tracking regularly............At least we can get the State/City/branch locations which they closely involved.........so we can track their region/locations....
--  always they will give a simple indian names, while transferring money, with no surnames in it
--  If you got that exact names, please post it, there is a chance of repeating names next time, by ( Same
Fraud Name & money range from 40,000 to 49,500 western union people can track them)
--  One interesting point, Always INR amount money is in between 40,000 to 49,500. Not crossing 50,000
--  I know Western union people do not help about these things...............They need money transfer thats it................

Thanks Salil, I will call USCIS number you provided an report the same.

On different lines, I am still puzzled how did they get our numbers. One thing that came in mind is, I recently visited India a month back.

Did any of you visited India recently???
