I just received Correspondence in the mail from Verizon..  Funny it has my address on it with "John Russell's" name and two numbers that apparently "John" added long distance service to..  631-653-3000 and 631-653-3900..
So if this is the person that has called and harrassed anyone, at least you have a name.

I , we have no association with that number 631-653-3000.
Attention those that may have stolen our identiy; the FBI is working on this file, along with our Canadian Mounted Police to catch those low lifes that have nothing better to offer society but to tarnish people's reputations; and we shall press criminal charges against them.
As for innocent people out there disturbed by these unwanted calls, please understand what we are dealing with and stop accusing me unless you are 100% certain. Do govern yourselves accordingly. This is the last warning.

Same thing as the rest, 2-3 times a day/night.  I'm trying to run a business and this is very annoying.  I have even call forwarded to a different phone, answered by different names, just to be able to talk with someone and let them have it, but they hang up every time.  Somebody get these people!

I have received over 30 calls from this number in the past few months. Some days, I get none; some days several. One day they called FIVE times! I have them "blocked"; that is with my cell I can have the numbers go straight to voice mail. EVEN WITH THIS ON FOR 26 of THEIR CALLS< THEY KEEP CALLING!!

THESE stupid people have called my house like every 5 min.!!!! I don't want to talk to them but they KEEP CALLING!!! whoever you are  STOP IT!!!! and I MEAN IT!!!! you gettin on my nerves

I don't answer these. They don't leave a message. They've called more in 2008, but that's as far back as my recent missed calls go.

They call 4 or 5 times a day. I've never answered it because we ARE on the NO CALL LIST and they still call us. I'm glad my generation knows what google is :)

These morons are harassing me, too.

The silent calls are computer dials to used to sort bad numbers from their phone list.  If you answer, you are considered a good number and go into the calling pool.  I've been through the cycle at least twice and after they "confirm business listing information for their yellow pages," they immediately launch into personal questions.  

My guess is these Indians with good English skills, are given names like "Johnny" and probably paid $2.00 per hour to collect more information for their database, probably to sell you something.  

I never let them get too far.. when they start asking for last name, time with the company and my birthday, I just look at the phone receiver like wtf??

This is the first time I have ever got a call from this number do any of you all use callingmart.com? I got the call about 5 minutes after i used there online services to refill a prepaid sell phone and its a free service, I wonder if these people are selling contact numbers to different companies rather than charging for using there free online service. If so i'll just stop answering for unfamiliar numbers not only is it tax free but you even save 7% on the item you are purchasing.

I also got this call. They asked for me, I said, " This is her." Then they hung up. I am wondering what they are planning.

631-653-3000 is continuously calling my home and cell numbers, both of which are on the DNC list. Reporting to AT&T and the FTC directly, as harassing phone calls, as each time they call I hear numerous beeps, then they hang up.

Stay on the line as long as you can and runn there phone bill up as much as you can!

I stayed on the line quite awhile and I just listened and did not say anything and they kept transfering me to different people and companys (This all started out with a add for loans) I then got sent to a dentist office, A beauty Saloan, A disconected phone number, Voicemail ETC... AND THEY STILL CANNOT HANG UP!!! O THE IORNEY. LOL I THINK I HAVE BEN ON THE LINE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR NOW! I just set the phone down and I went about my day. This is "GREAT" I think I will waste a bit of there time and cost them money in the mean time!!! HAVE A NICE DAY Dave....

In the past week, I received multiple calls from this # (631-653-3000) whereby the called simply hung up when I picked up. Obviously, this is not an "Sorry, wrong number" situation, but I am wondering as to what intents the caller had. It is quite obviously that the caller ID is falsified, as the phone number indicated was "not in service".

Can anybody advise as to what trick there could be and what kind of harm it could cause if the receiver picked up / did not answer the call?

I was filling in for the receptionist when a call from this number came in.  As soon as I answered it, they hung up.  Why do they bother to call, and then hang up?  These jerks are wasting my and my company's time.  As this is a business, we can't be put on a no-call list.

I have been geting these calls for weeks. Today I lost my cool with these jerks, that just made them call me more, 16 times more. The last call I got today, I told "Alex" that I Knew he wasn't from yellow pages.com and I was on line reeding about him. He hung up on me. I hope this will be our last conversation. I encourage all of you to call the FBI to get this ID theft scam, or what ever it may be, stoped. Or we can take up a pool to send the biggest one of us to India! Any volenteers?

The number is from card services and is a number not in service at this time.  However, I recognize the voice and it is the same sand niger that calls from debt services in st cloud florida.  Note:  there are programs that can give out fake number to, as they say, protect women from getting raped. but it is nothing more than a scam to block the id of the terrorists that are calling.

I get multiple calls from this number every day, however, I do not answer after reading the various reports.  I am on the "Do Not Call" List so I guess I will also report this abuse to them

I have been getting these calls on my cell phone (which is a private number) several times a day, and the person calling me does not answer when I pick up, they hang up after I say hello about three or four times.  This is very frustrating, and I would like it to stop!
