They have called us in the past.  Calling to make your appointment.  Act like you contacted them.  Reporting to FCC.

I received a call on my caller ID, private name private number.  I wanted to know how this private name was.  I was offered a low price chimney cleaning for the same day or next day.  Nancy was the telemarketer.  I asked for the phone number and of course she would not give it.  I asked the name of the company I was told it was "Public Maintanence Chimey"
When she told me she was working for commission and wanted someone to come "right over".  I told her I would have get approval from the owner.  She said "don't you want me to get my commission?"  With out a reply from me she said she'd call back tomorrow and hang up.  This is why I checked this out.

Was called by Public Chimney Cleaners. Big bank of phone operators heard in background.  Told them I was on don't call list, they said it's not always accurate!  Shows up as "Private Call" on caller id.  Report all of these to https://www.donotcall.gov/

Calls but does not leave message

Same here with the 800-399-6950 and told me where in CT they are based.  Went through the phone book and no evidence of "The Chimney Cleaner".  Did say that I knew this was a fake number and then they hung up.  I would love to find these scam bags

the caller asked if i was interested in having my chimny cleaned. I asked for the company name and was told Public Chimney Cleaners, I then asked for their phone number.  Once I did this the caller gave me the number 800-399-6950.  I then asked if they knew that I was on the no call list. To this the caller responded "Yes, that is why a gave you an 800 number that is no good", and then hung up.

What a great page!  I'm so glad I found you guys.  I've had the same problem with this number: private.  They keep calling and hanging up.  It was busy for a long time but then I got through and it just rang and rang.  Funny thing is, the number is from Stony Brook which is where my cousins live so it was so frustrating for me.  This is not the first time.  Thanks so much for posting; I can relax now.

don't leave message, keep calling, what makes me mad is that we're on the "do not call list", and the # comes up, but name doesn't; caller id says "private caller". I called back, guess what? Busy. All the time.

They claimed to be "All-American Chimney." They called, offered a great price for chimney cleaning, then came same day. One they were here, they took a picture of the chimney and told us it didn't need to be cleaned. There is no telephone listing for this company.
