i keep getting calls from this number looking for a "Christopher Stillman". i don't know anyone with that name and they have been calling me every other day for the past two years. since it is a 631 area code it's obviously a New York number but although my phone number has remained 516, i moved to Arizona almost three years ago. because of the time difference they call me at 6 am which is super annoying because it wakes me up all the time. the one time i actually answered the phone instead of letting it go to voicemail and the man was very very rude and when i told him he had he wrong number he hung up on me and they STILL keep calling me.

Don't think it's the previous owner of the phone number.  We get the same POM calls and we have had this number since 1977!

Calling all the time..........some weeks 3 to 4 calls a day! No point in answering, recorded message.  When I call back, I am able to get a person to talk with.  Always someone's else they are looking for.  Old debts they are trying to collect, never ours.  We have a last name that is not common. My husband and I  have common first names.   They never have a a correct middle name for either of us.  They have been calling for years!  This last year has been bad.  Got them to stop for awhile, told them they were calling a business number.  They finally caught on to that.  A couple times I have had some fun with calling them back.  One time I acted like I was a bitter ex wife, that one was fun!  Another time I was a mom who's son had runaway from home and I was so relieved he was still alive after 20 years. That one I felt a little guilty about.  The guy started off being a jerk and then was trying to help me.   Don't think we can stop them.  Just another sign of the times.

I get a phone call every week asking for Howard Johnson. It is very annoying. How do I get rid of this number from calling me?

Received an automatic message from 631-761-1042 for a "Peter Crumb" stating that they are trying to collect a debt. Harrassment 100%. No such person on my personal number.

I worked for POM Recoveries and the collectors are rude. This is one of the most unprofessional collection agencies. Their management is no better.

They called me twice in 2 days . Each time they called , their phone and name appears on my Timewarner cable tv caller id .
First time I didnt answer , second day I answered and someone hangup . I check number on net i came here and then called this number . They are looking for some previous phone owner and ma. was very polite and took my number to delete from their computer system .

I think we are receiving calls because previous owner of that phone number owed money or something .

For bosses of POM RECOVERIES , check your employees , it looks they are calling and hanging up just to claim that "they did it " .

They are POM Recoveries but pass themselves off as Brookhaven Memorial Hospital when I asked who was calling. They have numerous phone numbers very rude and usually hangs up on you when you say hello but when they decide to speak they say we have been trying to reach you for months and you never answer the phone when they call. Its answered they just dont speak  all this so they can log in their computer they called...

I am really sick of all these telemarketer and other phone calls. They call at least 4x's a day even though i am on the DNC list. These people really need to get a gd life.

I have received numerous calls for a Kathleen that does not live with me nor has there ever been a Kathleen at my residence. I tell them and ask to be taken off the list but they call back anyway and there is no Kathleen here. How can I stop this call? My husband is 99 and these calls are an unneeded nuisance.

This phone number 631-761-1042 is a scam.  They do not give you any information other than to call the number and give a reference number.  Don't fall for it, don't even bother calling it back. If you are in arrears with payments, if you owe money, if you go into collection, you will receive a collection notice which will indicate whom you owe the money to and how much it is....do not give anyone any personal information over the phone.  If you answer the phone and the person becomes beligerant and nasty, tell them you need to call them back, get a call back number and then hang up and call the NYS Attorney General's office and report it.

I RECEIVED A VOICE MAIL FROM MRS MACK REF 263885  WHAT IS THIS ANNOY CALL NUMBER ABOUT

Every week for about 2 years, I get the same voicemail on my home phone, " Mrs. Mack needs your help to resolve an important business matter". I am a retired person on a fixed income so I pay for everycall that comes in and this is becoming ridiculous. Something must be done! I do not owe any money to collection agencies and have great credit.
Please help me solve this annoying problem.

They called me today I answered, They rudely asked for someone who didn't live at my home. I told them that and without another word they hung up. And they continue to call. if you ask me thats no way to treat people. A@#holes!

This number is a Debt Collector called POM Recoveries.  The collect debt on behalf of hospitals.  I actually had a good experience with them.  They were kind and helpful.  I owed brookhaven hospital over $500 which I didn't have.  They set up a payment plan based on what I could afford ($50 a month).  They were very patient with me as I was working a dead-end job that paid crap.  I would take this debt collector over some of the others I've dealt with!

Got a call from this number on my cell about 2 weeks ago - said hold for a representative - I hung up - got another one today - missed call - no message left.  I do not owe anyone any money - I'd like them to quit calling me if this is a collection call!!  What happened to the do not call registry?

I wonder if I should have some fun with them. Maybe tell them that "Thomas" has been put in prison for multiple murder, perhaps? Or better yet, he went to jail after a small murder spree...but broke out. AND simple things, like people calling him and pestering him, just lights his short fuse....

I got a recording for Kenny Martinez, i hung up and called the number and some guy kept telling me that i need to tell him where kenny is, the only i know is on south park and hes dead.

This is a great site!! Found it by just typing in this number that keeps calling - 631-761-1042.  Anywho.com shows nothing for this number, at least a site like this lets you read what others have been experiencing.

Same situation as everyone else - number keeps calling and calling - I don't have an answering machine or voicemail on this phone, but I can see their attempts online on the Missed Call list. Also can see when I picked up - to a pre-recorded voice..And I would hang up really fast before listening to the message so I never knew what it was about.
