This number called my business.  Tghe man claimed to be from Equifax calling to verify my business information.

The number still shows Peonic Bay something but now they are trying to update your records with Equifax.

Got a call from this number at least once a day, very annoying.

My suggestion to solve this problem is for everybody that is having the same problem with this company is to call back the number keeping the number tied up until they correct their cold calling policies. Their practices is appauling and complaining has not served the public. That number should be reported to the telephone company, the BBB, AND THE NEWSPAPER EDITORS.

Caller said he was calling on behalf of Experian and just wanted to verify my info.  He had all the info, I didn't have to say anything but "that is correct".  He thanked me for my time and hung up.  I'm wishing I had hung up, this seems a little scammy...

Our office gets calls from this number periodically, the caller id doesn't show a name just the phone number.  I answered it today and they were rude and short. No greeting or saying who they are just "is blank there" I respond with "no he doesn't work here anymore" then its "well is blank there" and I say "no would you like to leave a message" and they hung up. I don't understand people calling and being rude when they are trying to sell something. They may think oh they won't remember/recognize the # but I do cause I'm the only one that answers the phone, and it makes me feel better to be b**chy to them the next time they call. :D Also, I tried to call back to tell them to stop calling and no answer.

I received call from this company(PECONIC BAY M) twice or 3 time daly annoing people........... you said hello no body talk............I call the number back and the line always busy...........how I will stop this stupid people to annoing me???????????????

the callers told me they were a free subscription magazine - I guess not, they were probably confirming my email and pob address.

Yeah there a pain in the firkin azz too!!  To bad he dumb azz installer for Comcast didn't leave me a book of directions on how to block numbers.  Now I have to file a formal complaint against Comcast just to get the book.  Jeesh!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number has been calling me daily. When I pick up there is no response. This is annoying!

I receive 4 to 5 calls a day from PECONIC BAY, but when I answer, there is never anyone there and when I return the call, the number is incessantly busy.

Received a call from 631-775-8584 Peconic Bay M on caller I.D. Claimed they were from Equifax and wanted to verify business address. I verified that information because it is public knowledge.  I then saw the information online that they were a scam.  I've reported them the Equifax. Everyone else should do the same!  Let Equifax go after them!

I saw someone mention this device on another one of these threads. I swear I am not a commercial, but this thing WORKS! I got one for my house, and I'm not sure I can hook one up here at work, since we have this crazy-azz switchboard room here, but it's worth a shot. Works GREAT if you're getting these calls at home.

"Equifax, updating credit info" = HUGE RED FLAG. The calls I also receive daily from this #, there's no one there.
The only info that should be collected is what you can get from them.
You don't acknowledge your name, sex, company   ANYTHING    EVER
             [be rude if necessary]

Peconic Bay 631-775-8584, they told me they were calling on behalf of some water utility.  I have a well.  It was a short call.
