Number came up and they just hung up.  I told kids if that number comes up again, don't answer!

they call saying they are collecting for the cops, i tell them im on a do not call regestry and they say that dont apply to them, so i say well im telling you not to call my house anymore and they get nasty and hang up and keep calling

They still have to obey the do not call regestry if they are a business.  if not you can sue them for harrassment.  I would take down the their business address and file a suit against them.  I bet they would stop calling you then.

call received (2/25/09 @ 8:PM)...They claimed to be from the breast cancer association... I told them I am not here and they hung up.  I called back and I got a recording saying that I have reached a number that has been disconnected.
Threatening to sue them for harassment does not seem to work... What can be done?

I have a country home in the Catskills and the only time 631 930 0212 calls is when I'm up here. There is never anything from this # on my caller ID when I'm not here...strange

I received 2 of these calls.  It's a Suffolk County, Long Island area code.  Tried calling back but recording says disconnected.
Could be one of those auto dialers.

received a call from 630 930 0212 early this morning.  We answered the call and the party hung up.

They called me yesterday 8/26/08 and 8/27/08 with the same thing, they called, I answered, they hung up.. Im guess its a solicitor who's just making the calls but doing it right just to say they called people and collect a paycheck.. but still a pain

Second time today! The phone rings... caller ID shows 631-930-0212... I answer they (?) hang up! Googled the number and this directory came up. This has happened before. What's up with that??
