IM GLAD PEOPLE ARE READING THIS BECUASE ITS CO LIKE THIS THAT ARE RUINING CHIMNEY CLEANING COMPANYS.  I KNOW WHERE THIS GIRL IS AND ITS A SHAME SHE IS USING HER CHILDREN TO CALL HOUSES, ITS CHILD ABUSE. SOMEONE SHOULD TAKE AWAY HER KIDS AND TEACH HER A LESSON.  SHE IS MAKEING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MANY LEGIDAMATE BUSINESS TO FLOURISH.

Unfortunately I did allow these people into my home.  They even went  down into my basement and disconnected my chimney pipe.  Then they went into my yard and climbed up to look at my chimney. This is  a SCAM, they gave me an estimate for$ 1400.00.  I hate to admit this but my husband was right. This is a SCAM.

I received a phone call this morning from the same number of which I agreed to and made an  appointment.  When I asked the woman for her ID, she refused to give it, I was very suspicious about this call. I call National Grid, they do not have such a process going on, clearly it is a scam.  I call back to cancel the appointment and they threatened to send me a violation. A ligitimate company will not do that.  These people need to be exposed and stopped so that innocent people will not fall in their trap.  Who knows what can happen when these strange people enter the home of innocent unsuspecting people who fall for their scam.

They call on a regular basis. My caller ID shows Brooklyn Union and various number starting with 631. Today, I got a call from 631-940-8971. The caller said that they were calling to set up an appointment. When I refused, I was told that they would send my a subpoena to go to court.

Got a call. What do they want from me?

I too had scheduled an appointment until I remembered that Brooklyn Union is now National Grid.  I called them to verify they had no connection.  Sure enough, they didn't.  I made a notice to place on my fridge for unsuspecting family members.  P.S.  The number she gave was also a 631 number.

Yea I've been getting calls. They wanted to come out to the house for some strange reason. It sounded like a scam to me.

I got same call yesterday and the lady told me exactly all other people says. I might contact NYPD when then arrive my house....

I got a call also.  It is a scam. You can call con ed and they can put a block on your account so you don't get any calls from anyone except con ed.  put a complaint if you can at www.newyork.bbb.org. Con ed told me they have no contract with these people. It is a scam. Please get word out about this women. Especially elderly who are unaware of this scam.

I also got this call 8/30/10.  Caller was female said she was calling from brooklyn union gas,about checking my CO2 level in the house.And this was the law ,if i didn't comply  iwould be issued a sumonds to apear in court, I told her do what you have to do and hang up.I later called an employee of the gas co.and was told they know nothing about this law.

The same incident happened with me today. She also said that the con ed has mandated such a test.   I checked with my service provider and also called Brooklyn Union. They are not aware and said that I should not allow anyone inside my house. This definitely appears a scam.

Woman calls up telling me she's from Brooklyn Union saying she is coming to check my CO2 levels, I tols her I was unaware of any testing going on. Then she got very rude & said that she would send a summons & I could fight it in court. I almost positive this is another scam
