Number is from Aon Hewitt BPS.LLC, an insurance benefit plant administrator. Suspect the call regards your employer supplied insurance benefits and likely a case that was created due to dissatisfaction on your behalf.

This is a Hewitt number. They handle benefits for many companies. However when I got a call saying there was "a problem with my pension check, please give me your last 4 digits of your SS#" I figured it was a scam and hung up. When I called Hewitt, I found out is was legit.

I believe this is a legitimate number. I called General Dymanics regarding a pension question and left my telephone number. This is the number that came up when they returned my call.

This is legitimate company, Hewitt Assoc, that handles 401K savings plan benefits for a lot of companies, including General Dynamics. If you got a call from that number, either you have a 401K savings plan administered by them for your company or they got a wrong number somehow. That number is an outgoing number only, if you call in to it, a recording tells you to call the toll-free number for your company benefits. If you spoke with a rep about your 401K and there was a question they had to call you back about, this is the number you would see. I got cut off while on hold on my landline at the company benefit toll-free number, and they callled my cell phone that's on file with them, and this is the number that showed.

After reading everyone's posts, this appears to be a SCAM! Hello - asking for your PIN? No answer when you call back? Plus - how did they get your cell? I only gave out my land line and this call came on my cell. WATCH OUT!

Hewitt is an administrator for most large company's benefits. You got a call concerning either your health ins, or 401k.
Call the number they left you, or your benefits resource center. Many many people ignore these calls and find out to late that there was an issue that required their attention concerning their health ins..

Allstate is honest in its claim handling. Asking any prior employee who tried to pay what they actually owed.

This is a legitimate number. I called the toll free number from my HSBC Pension Plan and apparently Hewett Resources manages this pension plan. The toll free number is 800-847-0615 for HSBC Pension Service Center.

Also report to the FTC and State Authorities in your jurisdiction. Important. They are saving companies money at your expense and their actions are unlawful.

My 87 year old father-in law got a call asking for his SS#. He suffers from some dentia, so he gave it to them. When I called back they wanted a code # and then said my call would be disconnected. I called the bank and filed a report with the police mainly because we don't know what all he said.

It is with Hewitt Associates they are the ones who call me when I`ve been dealing with problems with Benifits Express through my employer Chrysler LLC, I purchased a 100,000.00 insurance policy through Benifits Express 4yrs ago payments were made monthly by payroll deduction, Then I had shoulder surgery I was off work for aprox. 7months during that time I had to pay cash when I returned to work we went into a layoff period but since I was reinstated and I received sub pay the payments should have started as payroll deduction again nor was I recieving a monthly bill, well when I sent them an E-mail what happen to my policy Benifits Express replied saying that it expired in June of 2009 but I could pay retroactively to June or start over again from this date so I called the no# they gave me and I told them no I didn`t wish to go retro, well shortly after that phone call they deducted $ 354.00 from my pay check without warning or anything, I called and complained they said they would call back as to wether or not they could give me my money back and Hewitt Associates called back saying they can`t give me my money back even after admitting they screwed up in the first place, not to mention they plan on deducting another $350.00 or more from my pay in May basicaly Hewitt A**. told me my employer has given them the right to do that so far as I know it Hewitt A**. is a HR firm And they Will screw your s*** up so if you can avoid them then do so. They also screwed up another employees health insurance benifits.

It's a direct line to Hewitt Associates, a third party vendor for benefits. To call back, try 847-295-5000 (which is the switchboard).

Called me on my cell phone and when I answered they hung up. If they are legit, why hang up without saying anything. My wife and I get calls like this all the time on our cell's. This is BS.
