I just got this today a yr plus later..From Sovereign. Figureed was scam.. Replieed to go f yourself. Then Googled it and seee this. Looks like a new wave of scams.2 texts 1 to call 9176972534 the other was from 8605323157...Dirtbags

Boston area, I have verizon. I have not ordered anything and have not downloaded any apps. It is just a scam and they are hoping that they get enough people to fall for it. I do not have a Sovereign account and never had. Didn't respond to it. Most cell phones can be blocked for certain numbers.

Same here got 4 or 5 same texts last night. My gf and I are using iphones and we both have tmobile in boston, different area codes though. What we did was eating in a restaurant and she was checkin in on FB and all of the sudden we both got these sms.

3 texts since 1PM. I have Tmobile, but do not use sovereign bank. I live in Jersey. Did research but can't find anything on this number!

9 messages and counting. Got my service provider to block text msgs coming from short code numbers - lets see if that helps.

What a BS thing to advise! I can't believe they suggested to change our numbers to solve this problem Why can't they just block the number/email? I'm even more annoyed now after reading this.

I've received 3 messages today already and my phone carrier is T-mobile and I'm from Jersey.

T-Mobile NJ phone number. Same texts as listed in this thread....2 so far. I recently added my cellphone to my company's Verizon Business account. BIG mistake! I text back to stop texting. I probably made it worse.

Live in NYC. Have T-mobile. NJ Phone #. Lived in Boston 5 years ago. IDK if they are hitting up NJ #'s now or if it's related to Boston, like all the other complaints, but it's annoying.

It's a phishing scam. I don't even have a Sovereign Bank account. Just delete and defo don't reply.

My Husband and I have a Sovereign account and just started getting these annoying messages yesterday.... and yes, we have TMobile and live near Worcester MA....

I don't usually give out my cell# out to anyone so how they got it is beyond me. Here's the message I received today at 11:23 a.m. EST:

-  very old phone (no apps or web access)

-  this is my emergency work # (so I don't give it out much)

-  Verizon wireless

I have been also getting these messages through text, really annoying.  I'm listed on the do not call list, and plan on reporting these.  Not sure what this is about... the first one I got was different than the others, but I deleted it.  Have received 4 or 5 additional messages last night.  They suck at writing their code to send these messages, that's clear. Haha.  Also, never had an account with Sovereign, which is what i think they're trying to spoof.

Thanks Bryan, Thais sounds most credible.  Im in Boston with t-mo and received 15 texts in 3 hours WTF!

I'm a T-mobile subscriber and I have gotten two of these, I don't use Sovereign Bank, plus the name is written with a 0 instead of an "o", and an @ instead of an "a". So I disregarded them. Sounds like a scam to me, is there a way to report this?
