Called selling a security alert system. Had big argument on the phone. They cursed at me I cursed at them, and they threatened to call me every day for the next two weeks. They called me back five times within 15 minutes all from different phone numbers.
This is the reason these scumbags will never be caught. they have thousands of different phone numbers that they use so that they can not be tracked by the feds.
The feds could care less. Nothing will ever be done to stop these low sleezeballs.
The only way they will be stopped is to track down the owner of the company ( the a***ole making the six figures) and put a bullet in his head and make national headlines, create a media frenzy, and maybe something might be done.

Just got an call from this number, did not answer as I suspected a scam or sales call.

Just happened to me seconds ago. Thankfully we have Google. They asked me to hit 1 then asked for my 16 digit account code. Hard to imagine folks are so stupid that this still works. Then again look how Americans vote these days and form your own answers.

This just happened to me not even 2 minutes ago! I just hung up when they told me to click 1 and googled the number immediately

Scam this!!!!!When they ask you if this is your real name, tell them no, they must have the wrong number. Then go IMMEDIATELY into the following pieces of information.
Name: Vernon Johnson (Sometimes Vernon uses the middle initial "S") Not my real name.
Address: 3619 Hillcrest Road Bethlehem, PA 18036 (No such address in Bethlehem PA)
Social Security Number: 409-52-2002 (Elvis isn't using it anymore)
Credit Card: Wells Fargo VISA
Credit card number: 4465-4203-4268-0972 (Wells Fargo non-existent number)
Security code on back: 279
Expiration date: 05/15
Current balance: $16,207.22 (Use this for continuity as far as Vernon is concerned)
Interest rate: 16.7% (Use this for continuity as far as Vernon is concerned)
Minimum payment: $75.00 per month (Use this for continuity as far as Vernon is concerned)
Wells Fargo customer service: 800-642-4720 (That's real)
Vernon's date of birth: 2/29/44
"Mr. Johnson, this credit card number is no good."
"Well I used it last night to buy gas at the local (Wherever)."
"Does your wife have a card?"
"Yes, but I don't know the number and she's at work."
"Can we call her at work?"
"Yes." Then give the number of your local Attorney General's office.
This information works for credit card scams, medical bracelet scams, home alarm company scams, etc., etc., etc.
USE IT!!!! Keep they scum sucking b*****ds on the phone as long as you can.

I actually looked forward to "talking" with these scammers. Too bad, no one was on the line when I picked up. Damn it, I had a little time today and I don't mind wasting THEIR time and money.
Have blocked their future calls...
Buy a call blo9cking phone or a blocking device.

Well, they quit calling for awhile, but I heard from them again yesterday. I was in a hurry and answered on a phone with no ID. They said they were "Smoke Alert Live Response." I told them I would have to call them back, and they gave me an 800 # (423-8477), then hung up. I suspect they are also behind the call I got a month ago saying "this is not a sales call. There has been a rise in crime in your area. We have a free security alert system......" At least we are not getting called several times a week now.

646-231-4654 314-492-4103(3xs) 417-059-4744 In the last two + weeks we have received "FREE" MEDICAL ALERT calls from these 3 numbers. They want your credit card number so they can charge you $34.95 monthly for the use of this "free" device.
But we may have found an answer to stopping these bogus calls, and that is to scam the scammer. We have done it twice this summer, and so far we have had no more calls from CARD HOLDERS and from the MEDICAL ALERT people.
These scam calls used to really raise my blood pressure, but my husband has shown me the humorous side. All you need is some time, some patience and a good sense of humor. The "free" medical alert calls have been very numerous of late----most with different spoofed phone numbers and slightly different recorded messages. We finally decided to take the bait to see what they were up to and to try to tie up their line and time for as long as we could. It worked beautifully! In 30+ minutes, we talked to 3 different people, including a supervisor (Joyce) who was NOT amused and kept telling us vehemently that it was illegal to give out erroneous information. She failed to see that that is exactly what her company had done with it's spoofed numbers and telling people that "someone must be worried about their falling because someone had paid for this valuable medical alert, and shipping too," not to mention illegally calling #s on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
The FTC and some state attorney generals would love to prosecute these companies, but they have not been able to catch up with them because of today's fancy technology. If you decide to DO A REVERSE SCAM as we did, be imaginative, DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY CORRECT INFO, and when they insist that they are legitimate companies, TRY TO GET THEIR REAL PHONE NUMBER, ADDRESS, ETC., AND REPORT THE CALL.
We have found that these reverse scams ARE THE ONLY THING THAT SEEM TO WORK, and we have tried many other tactics. After our last "scam" Joyce called back, apologized for yelling at us, and said she would not call us again if we would promise to stop giving out bogus information. Did she not realize we couldn't have done that if she had not made the illegal call in the first place?!

Caller ID spoofed, didn't bother to answer, no message left.
