I got a text from Mr. Chris Danny at 646-389-3537 wanted to know if my Harley was still for sale. He agreed to the asking price, saying he was a Merchant Marine and out to sea. He wanted me to send him a PayPal invoice for the full amount and wanted my PayPal email.

I also got a simlar text from 850-325-0658, same deal but wanted to keep the deal a surprize for his family.

I got numerous messages from this number in response to an ad I posted looking for work. They claimed to be from a payroll agency but due to suspicousness I checked them out and got ahold of the actual company which they explained that they would never send out text messages for jobs. The company they claimed to be was Payroll Pros. Inc.

I received a text from someone claiming to be Mr. Chris Danny asking about a motorcycle I have for sale.  I will not respond to anything he request.  Claims to be a merchant marine off shore.  I advised him or her not to communicate with my phone again.

I got a response from this # when posting a motorcycle for sale on craigslist.  Glad I googled that phone number before proceeding any further.

It's a scam .... Merchant marine my a**. He's not getting my info .he texted about a vehicle I had on Craigslist as well . Texted because I hide my email to avoid the email scams. I use to have a landline and that avoided this crap. This is the only time I miss the landline lol. I texted back that I reported him to the sheriff . That stopped the emails

Got the same calls...off shores, agent, paypal.....dont trust him.

Yep, got the same text from LLoyd Smith wanting to buy my motorcycle. He said he was Merchant Marine and at sea. Wanted my PayPal email address to pay me. Yea...like I ever got the money. I did give him my email address but he can't do anything with that.
Phone number shows Manhatten, NY .

this number called and texted me about a vehicle i have an add up for wich is for sale, they will not contact back but the texts say they want my info so they can purchace my vehicle, the number is traced to somewhere in New York and me and the vehicle are in western Montana.

Just received a text from his majesty, Mr Lord Smith. Have not responded. I don't even want to communicate with people like this and strongly urge people to NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFO to ANYONE. Even as secure as Paypal is, they still have access to your bank funds through it. Can't some people just sell an item and not get harassed by those other people who, for some reason, don't know how to make an honest living?

Lord Smith wanted to by my car and asked for Paypal account so he could pay right away.

YES I ASLO GOT A MSG FROM MR Lord Smith THIS PERSON WHEN I WAS SELLING MY SUV THAT HE IS AN OFF SHORE MAN TO PAY THROUGH PAY PAL ......DO NOT TRUST !!!!

I got text messages from this number and also from 925-609-4793 from a person clsaming to be Mr. Lord Smith.  He asks, "Is (the item I am selling) still for sale?"  Any person reading an ad and responding to an as doesn;t need to ask that question.   Definitely a scam of some sort.

He called with unknown number and wants me to pay thru western union to his uncontactable through phone shipping auto agent

Guy keeps asking me to buy my car and wanting me to go to bank and pay his shipping agent for the car I'm selling through western union money transfer do not do it. He will sweet talk you and send you fake emails that look legit.

Spammer trying to get my phone number by asking if I still had something for sale.

Did they say what they wanted?  I also got a text from this number?
