Same exact thing happened to me and I even received an email.  What a joke and I to believe in Karma!!!  There has to be someone somewhere you can call.  Can the cops help?

I have been receiving a call from this # and they have told me the same thing... once they said that i had to go and put money into western union and 15 minutes later they will send me that plus 2000 back.. i said why do i have to send you money to get money, they stated to prove that i could make a payment, i said, but that's why you have my other information, and you can call my work to confirm i am employeed and that i do make what i say, and i do get paid when i said. i am not sending you any kind of money.. he said oh but ma'am you are mistaken, we are not asking for a green dot money transfer, i said no, but you are still not getting my money, and i will figure out a way to make it... so now they call every 5 minutes, its like its on a loop.. so what i am going to do is the next time.. say yes.. i have hidden the body.. and disposed of the other stuff.. where's the money.. and see what happens.... grrr.. crooks!!!

the caller was Jason Williams at ext 152. He wanted to run a credit check on me and I declined his request and he stated " I will run the check because you have wasted my time on the phone." We said I had been approved for a loan of up to $10,000. that I should put $153 on a moneypak card and call him back with the number. he wanted my bank routing and account number also.

I'm glad I googled this number. I had gotten a call from them saying his name was jason Williams and I was approved for 4, 000. He even called my work number one day and was trying to get me to take a loan out. I kept saying I was working and I would call back later but he kept pushing it. I was mad.

I am so sorry for your experience.  I am glad though you shared it because I was ready to do the same thing. I hope come back to this people 10x over because what they are doing is absolutely criminal!!  I am so sorry for your situation, but I hope things will be better.  Take care.

So glad i researched the number 646 395-0367. These people have called me at least 3 to 4 times a day and leaving urgent messages.  Now I understand its a scheme after reading all your messages.  So, glad didn't fall for it or I would be in more trouble than its worth.  Really pathetic how people screw other folks.  Please STOP THIS PEOPLE. Something has to be done!

Just want to say thanks to all of you for posting your experiences and making sure no one else gets scammed.  They keep calling me every five minutes....I haven't answered the phone (I usually don't when it is a number I don't recognize). But they left me this message about $8,000, too. I wish there was a way to report them, but when I talked to an officer they told me that this kind of scam operation happens overseas. Oh well, stay alert people. Thanks again!

i never spoke to them, they call me 3 times a day and leave messages to call them back...

Same person/company calls every day at least once.  I don't answer the phone anymore, I have the # memorized.

Please report this to your state attorney general, the FTC, and the FCC..  

It is illegal for them to ask for money for a loan like this.. However, you may not ever see that again sadly. But regardless, file reports!

Got a call from this number saying they are from GE Capital Bank. I was told I was approved for a loan I applied for on line. That I was approved for 8,000 dollars. I even told them I only needed $2000. So they told me to get a Green Dot Money Pak and to put $180 just to show the bank I am capable of paying them back monthly by this amount. He then asked for the code number of the back of the card so he could use it to transfer the money I was approved for. I waited half an hour as the guy said till I hear from them, that I will be called as soon as the money is transferred to my account. As I was waiting I decided to call the 800 number on the back of the Money Pak and it said that the card has already been used. I called the number back and told them that I can't believe they could do something like this to people that are already struggling financially to begin with. I was left with $34 on my bank account after withdrawing $180 for the Green Dot Money Pak.

I just got scammed. I received a call from this number saying they were from GE Capital Bank. This guy I spoke with said that I got approved up to $8,000 for personal loan. I applied for loans on line so I thought these was one of them. I even looked up GE capital bank and it seemed legit. I said I need $2000 just to catch up on my bills and on my rent. He said that I am approved for sure. He even asked what happened as to why my credit score was low and for obvious reasons I haven't been able to catch up on my bills. He then gave me his name Jason Williams. This should have alarmed me right away. A Jason William with an Indian accent? I didn't think of this at the time. He gave me his extension and my loan approval number. I had asked if I could pay it monthly for 12 months. I was asking what the interest fee was but he didn't really answer my question so me focusing on the loan that I was approved for, i went ahead and asked how can we start the process. He then asked me to go to either CVS! Walgreens or Walmart to get a Green Dot Voucher Money Pack. Since in the loan contract that he would fed ex to me, supposedly stated that I  would have to pay $180 per month until I pay off the loan. that I would have to buy this Money Pak voucher in cash only. $180 to show that I could afford and will be able to pay them that amount monthly. He even told me that they won't take that money. It wilt be there to show that I was able to get that amount on the card. When I got this card, he had asked for the PIN number on the back of the card. He then said i would hear from them in half an hour while he send all of my information to get the $2000 transferred directly to my bank account that I provided when I applied for the loan. I then waited and waited. Half an hour to forty five minutes passed and I haven't heard from them so I called them back. Jason said that it's taking a little time to get all the papers processed with the bank. So I waited for more. Then as I was waiting, the more and more I was getting the feeling that I am getting scammed. So I called the 800 number on the back of the Green Dot Money Pak and one of the choices prompt me to request for refund then when I chose this, it said that the card had been used so in other words all the money has been taken. I called back to speak to Jason and they said he stepped away from his desk for a "tea break". At this point I was crying while I was talking to the guy cuz that was the only money I had in the bank until I get paid for another week. I was left with $34 in the bank to last me for a week and a half. I felt so sick to my stomach that people actually do these kinds of things especially to the ones that are already struggling. I know I will never get that money back but I do believe in karma.

Attempted to get me to request a loan amount. When I asked for the specifics about the "loan app." Like the date I was submitted I was told to just say a doller amount. When I refused and asked yet again about the loan app. I was yelled at and disconnected. I called back and the same person answered the phone and yelled and hung up when I asked for his supervisor.

I then proceeded to spend the last 45mins on the phone with the real GE capital bank and was assured that what I was told that there are no pending loans in my name.

got a friend that was trying to get aloan from ge capitol, some how she called this place that you people are talking about, but she was'nt as smart as you guys, she was told to buy a pre paid credit card for 245 bucks and pay it to them and that they would deposit 8 grand into her bank, and she did it after i told her not to, 30 minutes later they call her back and told her that her bank would not take the payment of 8 grand, they then told her to get another pre paid card for 300 bucks and that they would send it fed ex and that she would have the 8 grand the next day no later then 4 pm, so she did it again, now her total loss is up to 545 bucks, she gets another call from them at 4 pm and they told her that the fed ex truck cant find her house and that if she goes to western union and sends them 200 bucks that they will send her the 8 grand in a hour to the same western union that she sends them the 200 bucks from, now her total loss is 745 bucks, this girl makes 7.35 an hour, so now shes out 3 weeks of pay checks, plus these people have all her info, i just wish she would have listend to me sooner, i did get her to call a ge number that i found on the web, now she feels like crap because shes broke and cant pay her bills, and theres no help to be found to help get her money back

Again, GE CAPITOL. Same as everyone else, I was approved for $8000 loan.  I asked for supervisor but conveniently the supervisor stepped away for 5-6 min. Told I could call back. I chewed him out.  Then after alerting my bank (just in case) I *67 his a** back from a different line (*67 doesn't allow them to see ur #- it just says BLOCKED). Got an answering machine for "GE Capitol". Yeah right- who uses answering machines now a days - not to mention it was in the same foreign voice.  This # is really registered to "YMax Communications Corp" - a LANDLINE phone in the Bronx, NY

Pakistani/Indian "usual" boiler room scammers.

They called me today said they were with GE Capitol Bank and said that I was approved for an 8,000 loan, but wanted me to front 345 for just an hour and the money would be returned to my account. I told them there was no way I was doing that and they hung up on me.

samething happened to me and i answered and they wanted to speak to "edith"; i told him i wasn't her and then i cursed their a** out for calling me five times in an hour

After receiving the 4th call in an hour I answered.  He was wanting to talk to me about the GE payday loan.  I asked him if he understood english better then he spoke it, when he relied yes I said I was recording the call and that he should never call this number again.  So far so good.....

Got a call from number saying they were with GE Capital, I spoke with the actuall people at GE Capital and this number has nothing to do with them.

Said it was GE Capital and wanted to loan me $3,000 but wanted me to send them $200 to show that I could come up with that much money.
