I have been receiving calls from this number 646-396-8692, he states that his name is John Smith. He goes and says that I have a pending lawsuite involving my social security number. I receive these calls almost every day at my home and work place, I spoke to my attorney he said to ignore them they can not do anything to you. I answered the call and told him to meet me at my attorney's office and he hung up. This is nothing but a scam to get money out of you.

I keep getting this number call me. They said that I owe them a certain amount and that it can be cut in half if I agree to in full. I know that I owe money to a fast cash company so I figured that they were calling to collect. So I agree to pay. BUT, I did the whole money card thing but it was wrong so I went to get a reload card but the lady (God bless her) said that it sounds fishy. So she said that she wouldn't sell me that card and have you scammed. LOL. she was awesome and did a whole search for me and to find out that others have been scammed.
Well, at least I have a $500 debit card that I didn't waste on this company. But they keep calling me so I blocked them. So if I do go to court at least I'll know but if I don't get a notice then I'll know that I was about to be a victim of a big scam.

This man with the same accent using NO name this time, began calling my home at 7:30 AM. I first answered the phone with one eye opened. After I realized who it was AGAIN, I informed hom I reported him and he said he "could give two F****!!!!" Now I positive this is no professional. After hanging up on him he was relentless with calling back. I picked up 3 more times to  warn him then I shut of my phone. When I turned back on my there was 8 missed call with NO messages!!! This is outrageous. He is calling a federally funded pay by minutes cell phone. Not even my land line. Which is why I am so angry. He could call my land line al day if he would get a kick out of that. I can't tell him enough that I am not Elizabeth, but I am sure not going to give him my real name!!!! I am lost as to what to do. I signed up for the do not call list EVERY YEAR, but that does not help for cell phone!!!!

I received 2 phone calls from a man who was speaking with such an accent I could barely understand what he was saying. He first called and threatened an "Elizabeth Weaver" with whom I am not, that she will be going to jail for something. Coud not make out much more than that. The second call he marked URGENT- basically stating the same thing? Another woman call for "Elizabeth Weaver" threatening to go to her work, but she asked her to call back a different number 877-263-4653 ext. 350951. I had this same thing happen last year. this phone has been issued to me from the government program Safelink.???? I reported last year and this year but nothing has deterred these people from sucking up my minutes and harassing me!!

Spoke with a man who identified himself as Eric Stanford Feb 15, 2013.  He is obviously a person for whom English is a second language. He became very heated and even called me back to call me a liar. Told me to go to law school and learn about the law, "go through some law books Ms Smith and try to know something about the law."  Here's the law Eric-- If a person files bankruptcy, you are in violation of the law to keep calling that person!  Read 11 USC 362 The AUTOMATIC STAY (STOP)  And  while we are at it, Police Officers don't arrest people for bad debts.  That went out when the United States adopted the BANKRUPTCY CODE.  Susan C. I got a call from this number to . The man said his name was eric stannford.  He said I need to give him a fax number so he can fax me some paper.  I had to sign them and then send them back. I said ok, but guess what my lawyer will be calling him today . So, Eric Stannford will be getting a sign fax alright. I hope they can catch these men. Mr. Eric Stannford, Mr. Max Brown or Max Taylor whoever they are. I want be signing anything today or  next week.

A "Max Turner from Crime Prevention" called looking for my husband & he refused to say why. These type of calls go on every few months, so what is the point of being on the DNC list when they still get through?

These people keep calling my job.  I cannot take calls here and would appreciate if they would stop calling.

max turner 646.396.8692 keeps calling me at work and cursing my co workers out. he states i owe money and i do not. he keeps calling me at work and it has got out of hand when he tells my co workers where to show things and awful language. he says  he is from 500 fast group (NAPD). Please help stop the problem.  it is causing people to look at me funny.  i have not done anything wrong.

This Charles Brown with a accent keeps harrassing me I just called them and told them I was going to report them to the gov. He said he will not call me again the are scammers. If anyone needs help go to www.ic3.gov and let them know you are reporting them right away. they will stop calling and harrassing you.

This guy called me at work out the blue yesterday and ask if I had received the previous calls. I told him no then he tells me it is from a payday loan from 2010. He stated I had a court date and would be arrested and to have somebody to bail me out. He gave me this ridiculous amount of money I owed and was very persistent that I set up a payment arrangement right then without being able look at my bank statements just to be all the way positive.  It seems like every few months I get a new call like this one and normally I would have probably paid without question but this person is very harassing.  I had to hang up on him then he asks if I had a lawyer when I told him no he wanted to speak with my manager.  After, hanging up he still proceed to call continuously so I spoke with him again then he tried to be nice and make payment arrangements.

I have been receiving calls from this number as well saying that they have a lawsuit against me. I spoke with one of them cus they keep calling my work and my manager is getting really mad and i think they are considering firing me for it. I told the guy to not call my work anymore and he started yelling at me and ended up hanging up on me. he is very rude with everyone he talks to at my work including me.

Scam Artists. Don't even entertain the phone call. Calling from a call ccenter in India/Pakistan trying to scam money off you. They will use various names: Dennis Peterson, John Smoth, Max Taylor, Max factot, etc.
They will ask you to send a western Union payment to a private individual and not a company.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This psycho was harrassing me 6 months ago and he stopped and now he is calling my cell phone and work phone again as Max Smith, Max Factor or Max Taylor. He is harrassing my co-workers. He is full of sh#t. He told me to wire a Western Union payment to a private individual or else I would be sorry!!! Give me a break. Straight up Scam Artist. I have reported him to the police and to my attorney.

I almost fell for them and told them i was going to send them money. When i got home on 12-7-12, I had about 20 calls from them. I realized earlier this wk they were scammers and even more when i came to this web site. I gave them no card numbers which was good.

I received a phone call from a person saying he was Michael Johnson from 4-050-0006-7362 telling me that he had an important legal matter pertaining to my loan and it needed to be resolved today. A lending institution with my social security number ending _ _ _ _, which he knew was taking evasive action against me. I needed to contact him immediately at 646-396-8692.

This person had a very heavy accent. I looked up the phone that he called form and it is Romania. I contacted my local authorities.

Not sure if I even oew this debt. Person has an Aaisn accent with a name of Al Parker. I don't believe that that is his real name. I have asked him to send me paperwork concerning any debt and he refuses to do so. Thus, I refuse to make any kind of payment. Filed police report. Police was on-site and spoke with person on phone. Police hopes that that will end calls.

got a call today from this number 510-943-3040 stating he is was officer robert brown and I had a legal action taken out on my name and social security # and left a number for me to call him back immediately. the number he left was 646-396-8692, i'm so tire of these damn scammers. what do you do about it?

They left a message stating a pending lawsuit against me and my ss number to have myself or my attorney call when calling back some other cal blocked comes up to unblock my phone number it is called majic jet

The same person has been harassing me and my boyfriend for months now. These people keep calling my work and left a message with this number. I called back on my cell phone & blocked the call. I didn't say a word when I called and he told me to go *** myself and still not saying a word he sat on the phone for 10 minutes asking me what I was wearing and I still didn't say a word. These people are disgusting and It is very scary.

This guy call me from this number stating that he's a dept collector I don't think so I reply he says I will be arrested first of all you can't threaten me .
