I received a call and the caller ID said 911 so I answered and it was "officer david cooper" telling me that their is a legal lawsuit against me and that i never paid back my pay day advanced loan which i never received and then to top it off he gave me a phone a number and a case number and the fishy part about it is that both numbers are exactly the same and that I had to call the attorney within the next 30 minutes or i will be arrested by the local county police hmmmmm and plus he had a heavy indian accent. Sniff sniff SCAM

I did not receive a call from this number but from 919-653-1949 saying I need to contact a James Spencer at 443-403-2041.  The Deputy Barbara Price of the Wilson Sheriffs Dept. and she had a thick india, indian accent.

When I called James Spencer I was told I owed money for a payday loan and that I will go to Jail if I do not pay the money.  Also, they request if you do pay the money that you go get a card at CVS or WALGREENS that you pay cash for and then give them the number on the back.  I believe that
Austin Reed and James Spencer are one in the same.  If not they have the same routine.

I just received a call from an "emergency number" and they told me that their was a warrant out for my arrest and I needed to call a "David Cooper" I asked them what it was about. They told me I needed to call David Cooper and they would inform me. I called the number 512-538-1920. a "David" answered and put me on hold. I hung up because it seemed very fishy and their accents did not fit the picture.

Wow Deputy Mary of the Tennessee State Police Troopers really gets around. She called my cellphone and my work number today, and came up as 911 on the caller id. She told me that Office David Cooper would be coming by my place of work to arrest me today.

A very thick accent, but she was dumb enough to leave a voicemail on my private work extension number which saves the files as .wav files and emails them to me. I will be having fun attaching this bit of evidence to the complaint.

I did not have the heart to tell her that there are no State Police Troopers in Tennessee but that they are still known as the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Just got a call that showed up as an Emergency number and showed the number as 911.  Some lady with a horrible accent said to call 646-432-1519 and ask for Austin Reed, he has a case against me and I was going to be arrested and sued.  She said Austin Reed was with the FBI.  How stupid are these people to think that we don't know if the FBI is looking for ya they sure the heck don't call you, they just come and get you.  Beware of a call coming in that saying emergency number 911.  This is a scam seen it on Good Morning America

Got a call at my work today from a woman with a very think middle eastern accent claiming I needed to call an Officer David Cooper at 646-432-1519 or turn myself into the local police because there was a warrant issued for my arrest for an outstanding loan.  First of all, civil matters are not handled by the police, you are sued in your local court.  Second of all, they are not going to call and tell you the police are coming.  THESE PEOPLE ARE THE LOWEST FORM OF SCUM THERE IS.  THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BY SCARING YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE GOING TO BE ARRESTED.  DO NOT FALL FOR IT.  HANG UP ON THEM, BUT BEFORE YOU DO, TELL THEM YOU KNOW IT IS A SCAM.  IT MAKES THEM CRAZY AND THEIR ACCENT GETS EVEN THICKER!!!

On Wednesday (8/29/2012) evening, I received a call from an "unavailable" phone number and the person left a message stating that I needed to call (646) 432-1519 and ask for Officer David Cooper because I had a complaint filed against me and if I didn't call I would be arrested.     I called the number and got the person that was supposed to be David Cooper on the line and he proceeded to tell me that I have a case # and a formal complaint file and he asked me if I had any online payday loans.    I told him yes and also that my payday loans were being paid off as agreed by the terms of my loans (the truth).   I also stated that I have reviewed my loans on the websites and there was no indication that there was a problem with anything.  I asked him "Why would these companies file a lawsuit against me if everything was current with the loans .
He then told me that he was going to transfer my call to someone else.    I waited and he hung up on me. So, I called the number again and the same person answered the phone and asked me who I was and when I told him my name, he said that I needed to pay $ 911.00 right now with a credit card or debit card.   I told him that I didn't have that kind of money right now and he asked me to come to Buffalo County with a lawyer that could represent me.   I told him that I wasn't going to come and then he hung up on me.   Since I got off the phone, I called one of my payday loan companies and they informed me that everything was OK with my loan and that it's unfortunate that we live in a world where we have to put up with this kind of scam, etc.    She told me to look online at my other loan accounts...and that if everything is in order with my information online, then I was scammed.     Please, do not let this upset you if you get a call like this.  If you know that you have more than one payday loan online, and everything is OK with what their website tells you about your loan...then you were probably scammed.   Sorry I wrote so much, but this really upset me when it happened...and believe me, I'm ready if they call again !!!!

They have changed numbers but the scam is the same.  I just started a state job and am in debt and have been paying things off.  I thought this was one that got away from me and the fear of losing my job lost me 400 that was for the real debt.  So now I have to come up with money I don't have. At the time I thought I can't lose my job after being without one for 6 months and yes this was my first paycheck.  Not answering those calls anymore.  And the only reason why I finally wised up was the 911 call I got from the Texas state police.

Wow, Deputy Barbara Price, my is from Houston, Tx. I see she also is a Deputy in the state of California. When she called me the phone number show up as "911" This is fraud.I have spoke to the Houston police they have no such deputy. I have a warrant "so Deputy Price told me" yet I never received any money. I have also talked to Austin Reed who the first time told me he was an Attorney. I have check with the New York bar and there is no such Attorney with this name. These people all have middle eastern accents. when you stand up to them they get mad and you cant understand anything they are say. So if you see a call from 911 and they tell you they are an officer, they are not, officer do not call from 911. If you get a call from 646-432-1519 it is a scam don't talk to them or send any money.

WATCH OUT FOR AUSTIN REED AND BARBARA PRICE....DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY......

I received a call from David Mathews at the above number. I was told that a warrant was issued for my arrest due to fraud on a bank account that I don't even have. Mr. Mathews would not give me any additional information when I advised him I would be getting the local authorities involved. He would not provide me with a physical mailing address.

Prank Call
I received a call from an emergency number on my phone.. it came up with my own phone number. The man on the other end stated he was calling from the South Dakota Police Department. I then asked him what county he was from and he said rapid city. I knew right away this was a scam call. His Phone number was 919-653-3341 he stated his name was John McCoy. I asked him to spell his name and he could hardly do it as he hardly spoke any english and was very hard to understand. He stated to me that if i didnt call Edward Jones i would be turned into the police department and arrested for a warrent and that i needed to speak with him right away. I then called his Edward Jones and he told me it was a payday loan and that i owed them 1500.00 direct person to person money wire transfer. I asked him what his name was and he stated it was Edward Johnson. I had told him that John McCoy with the South Dakota Police Department stated his name was Edward Jones not Johnson and then hung up.
This is a huge scam. I have called the police department and gave them all the information. They then called me back and said that it was a complete scam and that i needed to watch my bank accounts beings  others have called in with the same complaints.
