I had an iteam on Craiglist that I had been texting back and forth about.  thought I had sold the item until the potential buyer wanted me to give him my address where he could mail the check.  Claimed would give me an extra $100 for my troubles.  What type of idiot does this person think I am.  I gave the # to the Moscow Police Department.  Lot of good that will do!  **Craigslist posters BEWARE**There are scammers EVERYWHERE**

I  had a car on CL, he\she wanted PayPal only, never wanted to drive it, see it or anything.  Who buys a car like that???  Looked up CL scams & the emails were almost identical.  Then looked up the phone #,,,,crap!  he gets around!

Follow up. He or she, claimed to have over a 90% approval rating on paypal and wanted all my personal info. Also claimed years of successful buying. I asked for their paypal info or company info and never heard back. AGAIN BEWARE!!!!!!

Why would an out of state buyer want to use paypal for a car never seen, inspected or test driven? This has scam written all over it. BEWARE ALL!!!!!   After requesting cash only for my vehicle for sale, I never heard anything again. All correspondence was done via text messaging.

I received a text on truck I had for sale.  He wanted to send me a cashier's check from Bank of America and said I would receive before he had it shipped.  Asked where he lived and he said Jefferson, Georgia and that is his name was Mike John.  I think I could have come up with a better name than that!  I took pictures of these postings and told him that the truck was no longer for sale. :)

its a scam i played his game let him send the check it just got here today. im gonna call the cops and whoever comes to pick it up hopefully will get busted!!!!!

Have a truck on Craigslist, recived text from 646-540-6816. Said he would send certified check, and arrange for shipping. I won't sell it unless I meet the party and they have cash.

So.. I got a response back.  This person wants me to print and mail checks to customers and clients.  They will be providing signature and account numbers to put on checks.  Sounds a little FISHY!!

Text Message.... Asked "You looking for a part time Job? Are you available to run errands?"   I replied back asking who this is and questioned what kind of errands.  Did not get a response back.

Keep getting texts, (which cost me,) say they are sending check for the amount I specify,  Seems fishy, but won't produce or stop..

Text Message.....Wants me to send me total details about my car and pictures. Everything already listed and described with photos on Craigslist. Anytime you see the word "Kindly" its going to be a west african Nigerian scammer.

Received text. wanting to buy Rims listed on craigslist (west coast) wants full name address and phone no.. Will sent certified check right away by usps/fed ex. I should receive cash before the driver he hires gets to my door!  "If okay by this, reply me asap"    Can you say FISHING???

Nothing but a scam, once again something I had on craigslist he wanted but like above wanted to send me a check and have the item shipped.... I don't think so!!!

i received a text about something i was selling on craigslist, he said he was sending me a check for it and im supposed to send extra money to other people so they can pick it up.
