this number is at it again... trying to scam me . put my truck on craigslist and the scammers come knocking. I live in iowa and txt was from new york.  I was in this situatioin years back when I had someone from neatherlands send me a certified check . Good thing I had that checked out by a bank that my sister-in-law works. If its not from your state I wouldn't accept anything but cash . if the area code doesn't match your home arrea code I walk away.

I too have an ad on Craigslist and received a text from this number...scam it is.

yep, they just tried me too for an item on Craigslist, told them go elsewhere with there check and scheme

This person is still at it.... answering the c/l ads in text.

I posted a sea kayak in Montana on Craigs List...I got this number texting me...I googled it and it was from New York City...yeah right...its a scam artist loser...disregard this number as someone looking to rip you off.

Hayley- Good idea about Craigslist. If you live in a large city & are only selling 1 item, why would you send a grand piano to South Africa? You might also want to add "NO Paypal, NO Greendot, NO Western Union, NO 3rd party shippers & NO overpayment checks, CASH ONLY ".

I also got a text from them regarding an add on craigslist wanting to send a check, from not on I'm adding "cash only" to adds I post! Maybe even local pick up only....

I got a text message from this number regarding an item I had posted on Craigslist. I replied to them via text, I am waiting on the reply, but they are over 4 hours away from me so I doubt it is anything other than a scam. I saw comments regarding this phone number on another web site claiming it is a scam offering to send you a check for the full price of your item to obtain your account info. If this is the reply I get, I will be notifying authorities.
