Any clue where this is from?

I'm I'm Hawaii also. Same thing...Craigslist I posted an ad to sell one of my antiques. He/she said they would have a shipping co. Pick it up. And would send certified check. How stupi does this person think we are?!

In the Pacific Rim too, got identical texted replies to our Craigslist ad. Punk responded by text to give name and address and he will wire a check. The response had gramatical and typographical errors too. Never going to use craigslist again.

Has this person contacted you from Craigslist too?

This time he gave his name as Holmes Grafy of Rhode Island (I used Intellus and there is nobody by that name in the USA) He said he wanted to buy a 100 pound car part from me in Hawaii and claimed he wanted to pay for it to be picked, packed and shipped to him without any questions about the part.  Who buys a $400 car part sight unseen with no questions and then wants to ship it from Hawaii to Rhode Island?  What's ridiculous is that Craigslist has many listings for the same part thousands of miles closer to him at a better price.

Anyway I contacted the FBI since this is across state lines.

I received text as reply to ad on Craigslist also.  Said they'd send a certified check and send a company to come pick up to ship.

received a text as answer to add I placed on Craigs list to sell an antique. Person said they were from stockton, Ca and gave me the name larry Bobby. I looked up the number and according to telephone records it is a landline in New York although there does seem to be a record of someone by that name in California Sooo tired of dishonest people trying to scam me.
