Yes just got the EXACT Message. I laughed. Send PayPal info? Not in my lifetime.

Same story, same message.  Wanted to buy my truck.

I got a text from this number. Sender was "stationed" and could not call but could easily send texts. He also wanted to use paypal, assuring that paypal was a safe method of payment and would have an "agent" come and pick up the bike with title and all.

Luckily, his or her english was broken and everything screamed sketchy. What would happen is sender will send you the money but Paypal is known to always support the buyer, meaning the funds would reverse and I would be out of a bike.

I'm sure someone who googled this person's number would have the sense to not sell the bike. It's sad though that others will be tricked by the pretense of "paypal" being very safe.

Yep, same operation for me...except this time, I am turning everything over to local law enforcement.  They might not be able to do anything, but they have started a file that can be transferred to other law agencies...

Just got a text message for a Motorcycle I have up on cycletrader.com.  Guy wanted me to give Paypal info and was going to send money.  I have had two others try this...his excuse this time was there was very little satellite time, and the server was down.  I have turned over to law enforcement to sort it out...

Exact same as previous post. Text about cycletrader ad. Is it still available? Can't come see it. Asks for paypal info. Etc.

He has contacted me about a Craigslist ad then I post on cycletrader and he texted me from that ad also definite loser same story both times

Got the same thing. New York area code and can't spell or use good English. Our government is probably paying these a***oles to live, go to school, and eat while they are in our country trying to run scams. Just another reason our immigration policy sucks and if the Gang of Eight gets their way will only get worse.

First time I received something like this, I knew something was not right when I got almost the same text from 2 different numbers at the same time. I tried to actually call the #. it is a google voice # so good luck on finding the scammers

Here's another loser. Same old story...sends text saying he was interested in my craigslist post and is it still available. Then after I tell him it's still available, he sends back text telling me the price is suitable then says he won't be able to come look at it because of work and unfortunately he can't call me because of weather conditions (yet he was able to text me..go figure!). And, of course, he wants to do the transaction using paypal.  Sound familiar?

Just received text messages from this number about purchasing my motorcycle on cycletrader.  He gave the EXACT same story.  Can only pay with paypal, bad weather condition satellite server down and wanted to contact a courier to pick the bike up.

Got the same exact message Nate!  He wanted to purchase my Harley-Davidson through Pay Pal sight unseen.  Thanks for sharing your stories.

I got an identical text as Nate, He offered to buy my truck I had on Craigslist....full price but needed my paypal  account information to get me the funds. I told him i was not interested in using papal but would consider a bank wire transfer..... have not heard from him since.

I just got the same exact story line.  I am in Oklahoma and they want to buy an engine.

"Hi thanks for getting back to me, am ok with the price and the condition, i wont be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work, i would have love to call in person but we have call restriction due to bad weather condition our satellite server has been down, i will be paying you through PayPal, pls get back to me with your PayPal details so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and"

I received a txt about an item I had for sale on CL. They wanted my PP info for a piece of Farm equipment I had for sale. I told them I'd pass on the transaction.

The same thing happened to me on Craigslist.  They wanted my Paypal information for a whirlpool jacuzzi
Sight unseen.  Scammer!
