Same thing just happened to me...just texted they are buying as a surprise gift for husband. I told them to stop texting me as I see the posts listed they are a scam. didn't want to see the vehicle for sale, only the paypal info.

We got a same text message story about a surprise birthday gift for her husband.. wanted Paypal and an "agent" would pick the bike up.. We google this number I found out this is a scammer artist try to get your account information.

I got response for my Craigslist ad for moyorcycle... Sure enough same scam, asked to either email or text. "Christine" text back story about a surprise birthday gift for her husband.. wanted Paypal and an "agent" would pick the bike up.. glad I checked the number!! I didn't respond further..

Same Exact Thing Happened to me. "Christine" emailed and then texted saying wanted a bedroom set for her husband's surprise gift and would give paypal info. Then told me agent will pick it up without even looking at the set. I knew it was fishy from the start so I texted back saying not to text anymore and told her to drop the act. Then after searching up the number, I came to know about all these similar events. Is there a way to report on Craigslist?

This same person (Mark?) contacted me via TEXT regarding pc of furniture I had posted on craigslist. I text person back for them to call me but they replied saying they could only text. Text said they were buying it as suprise bday gift for husband and would have agent pick up if I provided my palpal acct info to deposit $800 agreed price to my acct. This person needs to be caught and punished. Glad I googled his #646-493-2879- found out this same person is scammer ahead of time- He evidently has scammed others as well.
