My SMS was from 706-705-9084, but the email address was from the same Brendan Taylor.  He wants me to take the car off the market and to give him my PayPal info to send $$ right away because he's busy working on an oil rig. Of course I didn't do that.  I'm filing a report with the FBI at https://complaint.ic3.gov and I hope you all do the same thing.  I'm so tired of these criminals!

I did also get a message from this person "Brendan Taylor" but the phone number was 917-791-1560 but the email address was brendan2508@gmail.com.  He asked that I take my car off the market because he wants to purchase it thru paypal.  I'm glad that I was nosy and looked up the info on the internet.

Thanks for these posts!   I just got a text from the same email (came from number - 646-600-5500).  He just asked me to email him back if my truck, listed for 1 day, was still for sale - which I did (before I saw these posts).  If he gives me any shenanagans I will give him the 'old "sure, I can help you.  Let's meet at my Dad's office - hes a special agent at the local FBI offices at xxx address".   I had a problem selling a car with a guy before and that seemed to stop the issue cold.....

I've also had the same incident happen. I remember that email address brendan2508@gmail.com. This person tried to scam me on craigslist.

i recieved a text mesg shortlly after posting an ad for a vechicle stating they were willing to purchase and they left email address brendan2508@gmail.com..but when i contacted them they sent me the old paypal scam saying they cannot access there account sellers beware ....
