Received phone call from 646-499-5229.  Asked for my attorney's info, said I had a law suit in my name.  He named the bank I use and said I had something in my bank account I had never paid for and had 21 days to pay.  The man's name was Mark Johnson with a heavy accent for company Law and Investsments.

I just a call from them too...I could barely understand what he was saying!!! A little bit ago I requested info about payday loans, but I never got one so therefore I have nothing to payback lol.

This number called me and said that I had a civil lawsuit filed against me, and if I didn't pay, I'd be in "big trouble."  Stupidly, I called them back and MORE STUPIDLY, I paid the amount.  Please beware.  Thank goodness for my bank taking care of me, but beware!  This is a scam.  I even called the CashNet company to ask if I was being filed upon, and they said no and that this was a scam.

I have been receiving calls from this number. They are leaving threatening voicemails stating that a civil lawsuit has been filed against my name and ss#. They say they are calling from the law and investigation department. When i call back and ask for the corporation's name, they state that it is law firm. However, they refused to provide me with the name of the law firm. They also have cursed me out each time that I called back (twice) and advised them to cease all communication with me. They are a scam!!!!! Do not pay these people any money!!! Please call the Federal Consumer Protection Agency at 1-888-382-4357. Also please go to www.ic3.gov and file a complaint.

NO u should report them to the consumer protection agency and also file a complaint online at  www.ic3.gov. I too have been receiving calls from these people and thats  the action that I have taken so far.

I hhave received the same calls all day. They called me 6 times within an hr. I cused his a** out. I continued to ask for his name and he would not give it to me. I as for the company and the other gut=y said cash call. That if they did not hear from me they would send a police officer to my house  and job and freeze my social and bank account. I told him he could go to hell and if he is going to work in America he needed to learn the language and learn how it is done in America. I threatned to sue him and he continued to call back so I am going to start with my sherrifs department to file a report.

recieved a call with this number and a guy with an accent says his name is Dave Richardson and he is with the law and investigation department and that i have a court order because i haven't had paid my loans. One: i did not recieve ANY paperwork from the department stating that i had a court order Two: i asked him IF i had to pay how are the payments going to be made and he says that i can pay through western union or money pak. i then asked for his western union information. and later in the day i recieved a phone call from a officer tom obrian also with an  accent! he left a vm. should i leave these calls alone and forget about it or should i return their calls?

this guy keeps calling yesterday he told me he was a fbi officer in texas. he can tell me where in texas hes at or phone number of the office. yesterday i called dallas fbi office they asked my ss number checked me out nothing was in there system. second there agents not officers. 3rd this a scam scam scam. today this dumb a** called me again now he said i owe him money. and wont tell me who he is or how i owe him money. he is indian with bad broken english. hell i had no clue what he said most of the time. this is a bad joke i wish i knew how to make him to stop.

This is the second number i have received calls from... its all a scam... wnat ever you do, do not pay them a dime... as soon as they get your money they will continue to harrass you.   I filed a police report with my local pd and contacted the credit bureaus and placed a fraud alert on my ssn# and changed my bank acct.   Also its recommended that you contact your local secret service dept and fbi branch... what these people are trying to do is extort money and the FBI doesnt take kindly to extortation.

same thing here....i called CashNet by finding their number on google...and I was told this is a scam and to file charges....I have cursed this Mark Johnson out numerous times and he just keeps calling...I think I am going to have to file the charges...

I was he was with a law collection  and I was being sued for payday loans. I told him how is that possible when I have never heard of CashNet loans and never reicieved  any correspondence from them via mail or email. So that I can't be sued because they have never contacted me so this can not be my last and final response from cashnet.  HIs broken English and yelling was uncalled for.

I was told this is a large and nationwide cash loan. You are in fraud of a loan. You need to pay $300.00. Did not do this and when you call the number is reroutes you to a different number of 305-848-8288 and wait for dial tone and put the number in. It is a magicjack phone line and what business would use that.

Received a phone call from a "John Smith" who clearly was no John Smith as he could barely speak English. He told me I was under investigation by the Federal Government and to avoid large fines and possible prison time I needed to call his law firm back. Immediately googled this number...

I got calls all day from this number, indian sounding guy who tried to tell me the same story. I don't have any loans I didn't take any loans out. So I'm ignoring....

You can not be arrested for a debt. They can take you to court though.

I contacted a lawyer. Notified these idiots that I hadn't done a loan. They sent a video to my lawyer of the date that I was supposed to have done this. They said they had a security video of me on the day in question. My lawyer reviewed the video and realized this person was over 6 ft tall and black and fat. So we lol'd. Cause I am white 5'8" and I'm a gym rat. So my lawyer sent them my photo and scdl pic. They continued callin now they have a law suit. Some one called NY payday loans and title loans.  Yay I win.

He called me and left a nasty message  and a nasty email saying that I owe on a payday loan. I know all of my payments are current and he is saying that there are counts of fraud on my ssn I dont know what to do. I dont want the police to arrest me but i also know i didnt do anything wrong How do i make this stop. I have been scammed before

They just called me, I didn't answer, so they left a message stating the following: "This is John Smith calling from the investigation department.This message is for (my name) there are three counts of fraud against you and your ss#. So I need you or your lawyer to call me back. If don't hear from you or your lawyer then you will have to face some legal problems in the next few days. Goodbye and have a blessed day." When I called the number back it went straight to voicemail and while I was leaving a message for them to not call me anymore he was beeping in on my call waiting. I answered and he said he just received a call from my number. I told him yes that I wished for him to not call my phoe anymore. He asked if I was (my name) and I said no he had the wrong number> He said oh really I don't think so. I said don't call me on this number anymore or I would call the FBI he laughed and said they couldn't do anything about it. I said you wanna bet and hung up the phone.

I have been getting calls like this since Jan. They have't done anything except call me from different numbers but the same dialog on my voicemail. As far as I am concerned they can go f*** themselves.

Mr.David what I recommend u is to pay your simple loan...or else hiring an attorney for more than 200$/hr and a long schedule of courthouse will cost u more than anything else..  
or if u have one attorney then lead towards the court as i did...

But what if it is. Can u redeem yourself. What is the action needed if you are compromised.  Would u have to pay the loan or could u deny ownership? If you have these answers that is, it would be helpful

yes that's all b***s*** but it happened with me..
what I recommend by my attorney is to take care of mine as well as my family's SS#..not to leak it anyhow...
