Also, i just called the number and it goes to google voice mail and the person says "Nicki" is the name....beware!!

I got this same scam email but from a Diana Shores and sent a text to this person with roughly the same messages back and forth a out my wedding dress for sale. Wow! I am certainly glad i googled it! Thanks everyone! How do we report this officially so they can't scam other people?

I got a message from Sharon too! I suspected it was a scam when the area code wasn't from my area. I found this when I googled her number!

Same thing just happened exact word for word messages. I stopped replying when they asked for my address to send the check by ups.

Just received an email from "Sharon" today, wanting the to contact back ASAP.  I texted, same response as the other posts have said.  Thanks for all for having this up and keeping us informed!

"Sharon" just sent me an email this morning about my wedding dress for sale on Craigslist.  Today is 11-9-2013.  

Same verbage almost exactly as previous posters, wanting to know condition and if needs to be drycleaned.  Also said she can't come try on and shipper will pick up.

I heard that and knew it was a scam...googled the phone number and this blog came up.

I got the same email. Felt it was sketchy. Texted them. Got the exact same response as others. Thank goodness I googled the number!

another scam.  just received an email from the same person inquiring about my wedding dress.

This person also contacted me about a wedding dress I posted on Craig's list.  Sent an ema and then asked that I text them.  Wanted to send a cashiers check to me and requested my name and address.  Unfortunately I didn't google the number before replying.

Also trying to buy a wedding dress I have on Craig's list.  The text was exactly as someone noted earlier.  Thanks for posting the information.  Always pays to be cautious.

I just got an email too. And when I contacted her phone no. Thats what she wrote:

Ok, whats the condition of the dress? Do I need to dry-Cleaned it? what is the firm price? So sad am not around at the moment to try the dress on, but my shipper will come pick the dress wherever you wish to meet. do you accept cashiers check as a means of payment?

Actually I brought it to the dry cleaner yesterday and they said I can pick it up in two days. The dress looks perfectly new. No rips or anything. I checked the whole dress. But your shipper can check it again before accepting it.
You could pick it up on Friday. I am at home all day on Friday or meet up downtown.
Please understand that I only accept cash and I already took off almost 50% of the original price, so regarding this the stated price is the lowest I want to go

So sad, my job schedule so tight that i cant bring cash but my client can issue out certified check to you, if you have a change of mind

Okay cool, I will need your address and name as you want it to be written on the check, In order for the payment to be mailed out via UPS

Me:Please no offense but to be honest I do not feel comfortable with this. As you may know you can't always trust  people on craigslist.
So if you want I bring the dress to your job. And you can hand me the certified check from the bank.
If you do not agree that is ok. I am sure I will find another buyer.

This number is now contacting me to buy my dress off of CraigsList as well - how did you know they were a scammer?
