I swear how these people scam others is beyond me, its common sense people. I live in Southeast Texas and we have a local website for people to post ads to sell items. Its like a local craigs list. My co worker doesn't have an acct so I listed a wedding Ring for sale for her that is worth over 5 grand. Now why in the hell would I send this 5000 dollar ring to another state and why would anyone buy this ring and never lay eyes on it. Seriously do they think all Americans are stupid. Idiots!!!!

Same thing here, had a wedding dress up on a local website and wanted my address to send the payment.

The same thing happened to me, except I did receive a check. The check had the name of an insurance company on it, but the envelope had an address from Las Vegas on it.

I had two dresses on Craig's list and this number texted me saying they wanted both I never got a name nothing they got my address to send a money order.
Later that day my brother searched the number and found out it was a scam.

He claimed to be Name Johnson & presently on holiday "not Vacation"...hhhh. visiting Las Vegas. This GUY is full of CRAP up to his head. DON NOT TRUST THIS ........HE wants your information so steel from you....what a sorry baster. Thank God I looked up the number will be turned to Police soon

Wanted personal info to send money for a wedding dress that I had posted for sale on Craigslist. Thankfully I looked the number up and found these posts! Scam!!!

I got the message from this number asking me,if Ican help to babysit he/or her daughter  5 years old for 5 days starting 22 thru the 26 of thi month they want me to text and how much I'll charg, is kind of suspicious,because I had a a add in Craig's list for a job and this is the results a complete scam. Sent me a text about a dress I had for sale online. Told me his name is Akin James and that he was willing to pay the exact amount I had it up for sale (red flag since most people will bargin with the price). When I confronted him about scamming me he said he is on a business trip in Las Vegas for two weeks, he would never scam a "fellow American." He said he would give me and address to send it once I got the payment (another red flag). Pretty positive this is a scam. Someone has done this to me once before but sent a check for $2000 extra so that we would have to send that back and they make money because eventually the bank would say that check they sent wasn't a good check and it'd be our responsibility to pay the bank back all that money. Whats wrong with people these days??

I recvd a reply from this person in regards to a wedding dress I posted on craigslist and said they would send me the money first and would not provide any personal information. stated the address and name would be on the money order they would be sending.  when I confronted this person about his/her scam after reading these posts, he/she DEMANDED an apology from me.  they also stated that the money has already been sent (gave a PO Box address).  Havent recvd anything from this person yet.

I just got a message from them for a dress that im selling. They wanted to send a check or money order tonight and i thought it seemed kinda odd. I called and left them a message earlier and the machine was for a google account and made a noise kinda like a fax machine before the tone.  I was just looking for the area code but im glad i saw this site.
